Ty did a great job. We initially thought we had squirrels but in minutes Ty identified it was actually raccoons that were visiting. He installed a trap on the roof and had to re-position twice to eventually get the mother. He was unable to access the nest from inside the ceiling but took out a section of soffit near the nest to try to catch the babies. He made daily trips to check the trap and after several days he was able to capture 4 babies. He then sealed the repaired all the places that were disturbed during his trapping efforts. Ty really knows his stuff and while I hope never to have to use his services again I would not hesitate to call him.

Ty was very responsive to my initial questions about his service. He explained all the possibilities to me and reassured me that he could solve the problem. He came the next day and found where a raccoon had attempted to get into the roof, but failed. He then sealed the area to prevent any further attempt. His work was done promptly and professionally.
Description of Work: Ty came over and checked the roof for possible entry by a raccoon. He found the area where the raccoon tried to get into the house and sealed over the section to prevent its entry should it try again.

I heard a persistent scratching sound above my bedroom ceiling. At first, I thought it was from a tree branch rubbing on the roof. But after a while, it was apparent that there was some sort of animal up there. I checked Angie's List and called Wildlife Police based on their reviews. I spoke to Ty, the owner, and set up an appointment for the following weekend. He said he'd come by between 10am and 11am on Sunday. He showed up at 10:30am Sunday, After sharing a brief video recording of the noise I heard with him, he went up into the attic to do an inspection. He found a squirrel nest in the area where the sound was coming from. The squirrel, if it was still there, was likely hiding under the insulation. He also located the opening the squirrel was using to get in - it was a gap between the chimney and the fascia. Next, he set up a couple of traps on the roof near the opening. Sure enough, the squirrel was trapped when I checked on it the following morning. I called Ty back and left a message that we got the squirrel and that I wanted him to cover the opening. He called back later that morning and said he'd come by later that afternoon to pick up the squirrel. He said that whether he could patch the opening depended on the type of squirrel that was trapped. If it was the mother-to-be, he could patch it; if it was a juvenile, he'd re-bait the trap. (He explained that due to the long winter, squirrels had not yet given birth to their litters). Fortunately, it was the mom, and he patched the opening. Overall, I was very pleased with this experience. Ty was very knowledgable and went about his work very thoroughly and efficiently.

My cat found a squirrel in one of my closets. I thought the problem was over. Three days later I heard a huge commotion in my basement. I called Ty the owner and he came over the next day. He explained to me, this was probably not a juvenile tree squirrel. He had to be sure. He came over and set a trap in the basement and the attic. The next day, he caught the flying squirrel in the attic trap. He told me, he would repeatedly be over every day or every other, if the trap was empty to ensure, I did not have an infestation. He came over for two weeks. He did a thorough search in the attic. Luckily, that was it for the squirrels. He also, did a thorough search of the roof line for possible entry points. He sealed areas with caulk and copper flashing. He was very knowledgeable and willing to share information about these animals. He humanely releases these animals. I was very happy with his service.

Ty was very thorough when inspecting the attic for animal entry points. Given the home is a townhouse, Ty walked the roof of the attached units looking for additional entry points (very thorough). Once the entry point was identified the resident squirrel was trapped within 48 hours just as Ty had predicted. He then took steps to verify that all squirrel residents were trapped before permanently closing the entry point. Apparently if you close the entry point a resident will do anything to re-enter the attic potentially causing a lot of damage. Ty was very responsive, punctual and knowledgeable. He made sure to explain in great detail his thoughts, concerns and approach to handling the issue. He charged $95 for initial visit and $75 per animal pick up. I would definitely recommend his services.

We had a bat in our condo and I needed help to find and remove it. By the time Ty arrived, the bat was in hiding. He searched my condo thoroughly but the bat was nowhere to be found. He told me that the bat may come out at around 7 PM and suggested that I keep my sliding patio door open (with the screen closed because I wanted to catch it to test for rabies) and the lights off. I did this and, sure enough, the bat showed up and was flying in circles around my living room. I called Ty and he gave me advice on how to trap it before it disappears again. He also started heading back to my home right away. I was able to trap the bat, and, when Ty arrived, he put it in a small white box to give to Cook County Animal Control. My condo association asked Ty to come back a few weeks later to inspect the building. During his inspection, he found no evidence of a bat colony in the attic or around the building, but, just in case, he told us what to watch for in the spring The bat tested negative for rabies, which was a big relief. Thanks to Ty's knowledge and efforts we were able to get the bat out of our house and gain peace of mind by having it tested. I couldn't be happier with this service. Ty is *very* knowledgeable when it comes to all wildlife and pests. He provides a personal level of service and goes above and beyond - which you don't get from most companies.

My husband and I smelled a horrible odor in our living room. We soon realized that is was coming in from outside, from under our porch. My husband crawled under the porch and surprised a family of possum that had nested there. It was quite a shock! We called Ty at Wildlife Police and he came to the rescue in under an hour (on a Sunday, no less). He trapped four possum, removed some terrible smelling materials from under the porch and sprayed an organic product to remove the odor. He has left us with a trap cage that will hopefully lead to the capture of the adult possum (who ran away during my husband's earlier visit). Ty will return to pick up the animal in the cage - hopefully tomorrow. We have used Wildlife Police in the past - we live in an older neighborhood in an old house and have had raccoons and squirrels in the garage attic and a bat in our third floor playroom. Ty has removed these animals in the past and helped us secure the areas so the animals did not return. I highly recommend Ty and Wildlife Police. He really knows what he is doing and takes care of the problems in a humane way - he is also very knowledgeable about each animal and can give you a lot of background on them if you are interested. He's quite an expert in bats!
