Perma-Seal Basement Systems

I had a major leak in a basement wall with a significant crack from floor to ceiling. I contacted Don B and he came out within 24 hours and gave me a very reasonable quote. Service was scheduled for a few days later and performed. All was done in about 1.5 hours. The crack was repaired and there have been no more leaks. The worker did a great job. The lifetime transferable warranty gives me peace of mind knowing this leak won’t reappear. I won’t hesitate to call Don B at Perma-Seal again should I have another issue.

Don Baier was my salesman and was very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. Permanent-Seal came out within a week and completely fixed my water problem. The gentleman cleaned up thoroughly after fixing crack and was very polite. I would highly recommend Perma-Seal. Very satisfied!!

“BAIT & SWITCH” SCAMMERS, Hired Permaseal to fix 1 small crack in foundation of Father In Laws house. Salesman Anthony Decker said he has additional crack by sewer pipe. Added they could also LEVEL his front cement porch, promised would be just right when done, approx. 6” lift. $1,600 for cracks and $2,400 to level porch. Worker came to fix cracks, said sewer pipe now has crack, that he needs to pay them an additional $6,600 to repair (SCAM). Called our plumber, used camera, said tiny crack in pipe is non-issue and there is no leaking around pipe or wall. Our honest plumber said no repairs are needed ! Workers came to lift porch, could not lift any, charged him $1,400. for not being able to do anything ! “Bait & Switch”, tried to SCAM elderly 86 year old man out of extra $6,600, then scammed his credit card on porch work they could not actually fix !! Anthony Decker agreed, said he didn't get what he paid for and would get his money back, …NOPE. "Bait & Switch” SCAMMERS, don’t trust anything they say ! Bill Jersa offered us $250 to sign waiver and keep quiet, no resolution to situation !

Overall a great and positive experience. Sean and Patrick arrived promptly at the communicated time and were professional and thorough. Sean met with me and covered the project and provided additional consultation based on questions I had. I made a last minute request to lift the entire patio rather than just the portion I had previously contracted Perm Seal to do and they willingly accepted it. I am happy with the outcome and look forward to enjoying the space this summer.

This is my 2nd time using Perma-Seal..the 1st time was in November of 2020. Your salesman, Don Baier, is outstanding...he quickly understands the problem and has the solution to fix the problem. Because of Don's efficiency, I have referred two family members to Don B. who have become very satisfied customers of Perma-Seal. Don is definitely an asset to the Perma-Seal family. The two men who came to do the job today, Lorenzo and Raul, were also outstanding. They were quick to start the job and didn't stop until it was completed. They too are assets to Perma- Seal. Again, we're very satisfied with the job done by Perma-Seal and will continue to refer friends and family to Don Baier of Perma-Seal.

The work went extremely well. The concrete is now properly raised and sloped for drainage. The gap between the slab and my front stairs is also sealed. It looks great. I highly recommend Perma-Seal.

Robert identified that the leak was coming in across the sill plate and not below ground. He provided several recommendations for a solution. He was very professional and knowledgeable.

Very well! Edwin and Alex were right on time and worked efficiently and effectively to dig out and replace the pipe. They also filled the dirt and grass back in and power washed the mud off the driveway! Job well done!

Romy arrived early and did a great job! He did the yearly maintenance check on our dehumidifier, sump pump, and crawlspace encapsulation. He was very thorough and explained everything very clearly. Will be purchasing a water heater from them! Thanks Romy!

I had my preventative maintenance appointment with Jim Ballard and he was great! I had a few questions about several services that PS offers and Jim thoroughly went over everything with me. I will definitely be booking an appointment again for poly leveling when the weather allows and have full trust that everyone I deal with will be just as great as Jim was!

To start if you use there service they do a great job i had them work on two properties one of which they finished and did a great but when you back out (two months before they were scheduled to do the project) they don't give your deposit back. to be fair it was in the contract that you can only refund if within a couple of days just remember read the fine print. I assumed if given ample notice (2 months) I would be able to back out that was my fault. When canceling I asked if they could move the deposit to the other project and was told yes by someone in there office, only to find out later after canceling that wasn't possible and would loose my deposit. They offered to move the deposit to another project but I haven't heard anything from them about scheduling a time to look at other projects. It's been 2 months of silence.

They found the leak and stopped it I would give them a High rating and did an excellent job.

Romy was punctual, efficient, informative and helpful. After the inspection/cleanup I asked about some leakage we'd had on the wall opposite the sump. I wondered whether the leaking might be the result of failure of our 24-year old end unit's drain tile. Looking at the problem area, he explained why it was more likely caused by water leaking through cracks in the wall. He gave me a rough idea of what it would cost to correct. (I only needed a rough idea since I don't plan any immediate repairs, because our own surface sealing has held up so far.)

First off I’d like to lead with; I never do these types of reviews. I am in no way typing this with malicious intent. With that being said, our experience with Perma-Seel has been nothing short of a nightmare. October of 2020 we reached out to Perma-Seel to get a new sump pump for our basement. We trusted the name/brand that came with Perma-Seel so much so we allowed them to up-sell us other services I now question if we truly needed. Fast forward to August 2021 we had an issue with the the pump (all the lights turned red on the pump and it was beeping) and called someone from Perma-Seel. A gentleman from Perma-seel came out (when they were available) and claimed the pump was not plugged in properly and seemingly accused my family of tampering with the pump. Really? (Huge Red Flag) By the grace of God the gentleman seemingly fixed the issue without charging us. Fast forward to today 10/11/21. My wife, my 2 daughters and I arrived home from watching Addams Family 2. We were on cloud 9 after an amazing family night. Not to mention today’s my wife’s birthday. When we walk in the house we hear a strange noise coming from the basement. I run downstairs only to find the sump pump drain pipe has detached and water is flying everywhere in our basement. (Please forgive me if I’m not using the correct terminology for these items) Pictures are included. I have video of what looks like a geyser spewing up smelling sump pump water all over the wall and carpet. (Mood officially destroyed) My wife did what anyone would do in the situation and contacted Perma-Seel to alert them of the issue. She tell me the manager she spoke with (Thelma) told her we had a due balance of $200 for a defuser pump?!?!? And that that needed to be paid before they come address the issue and they won’t be able to come until the next day! Are you kidding me?!? $4000 worth of work that obviously was not done properly and you’re mentioning a due balance of $200!!?? Like seriously I’ll give you $300 if you come stop this. But whose to say Perma-Seel would fix the issue properly. It’s seriously not about the money. I get it. People need to get paid. But if a Perma-Seel representative installs something in your home and leaves, you’d expect that person did the job correctly. My wife is in literal tears as I type this. I will not speak on how I’m feeling right now. I don’t wish ill will toward Perma-Seel and it’s employees. I pray Perma-Seels’ employees and their families never have to experience what my family is going through today. We truly did not deserve this kind of treatment from them

It went very well, the gentleman who represents the company was very professional, showed up on time, very patient, walk me through with the offer and everything were extremely positive.

Romy came out to provide a quote for repairing our driveway. He provided his honest opinion that it wouldn't make sense to proceed with the repair due to the extensive damage, and he suggested repouring the driveway instead (which they don't do). I really appreciate his honesty. Also he spent a lot of time answering my questions about basement waterproofing, which is a project we are not pursuing at the moment but if we do in the future we will definitely reach out to Romy.

Pablo, Caesar, Manny and their crew were wonderful. They did an awesome job installing an overhead conversion on our hundred year old house. Communication was great, they worked diligently, and we could not be happier with the result.

Permaseal is very expensive! However, I felt it necessary to have due to water seepage in my basement. Not a year later during a storm I find water seepage in my basement bathroom (which is a finished basement). Perma sea comes out, either has you sign a waiver or asks you to take down drywall/paneling/ baseboards to see where the water is coming from (permaseal does not pay to repair this either). We find a large crack in my foundation that goes all the way down to the drain tiles! How? How or why did permaseal not see this when doing the work? Permaseal did not properly inspect and assess my water seepage issues. Now I had to pay nearly $600 for Epoxy to fill in the crack. Unbelievable!!! What was the purpose of paying thousands of dollars for permaseal just to continue having seepage???
