I was impressed with these guys. They did quality work and stopped the flooding problems we were having after two other plumbers had failed. They aren't cheap, but they do excellent work and they don't try to BS you. I get yearly maintenance on the equipment and again, a little pricey but excellent quality. The field techs are savvy and do a great job, and also are very knowledgeable about their area of expertise and give good advice. Most recently their tech Alex came out and did some maintenance; he's a great guy and got things done quickly, cleanly, and was very courteous.

This review is based on my interaction with Jack Castella, who was our salesman. Perma-Seal was recommended to us by our contractor. I had Jack over because we had some cracks in the walls of the basement and an "I-Beam" leak. Jack was great to deal with. He was very personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. I had 2 other companies out and he was the only salesman that tested the "I-Beam" leak by running out hose towards the area where it leaked. Since no leak came in from the outside, he deemed that a different issue, where all other salesman were going to "fix it" for us. He also found a crack that no other company did. Jack was always conscientious of time and our budget. Great guy! Before Jack left, he scheduled our crack injection appointment. I will definitely use him again and refer him to others. Thanks again Jack Castella!

Workers arrived promptly and were careful about preventing dust from spreading to other areas of the house. The entire team, including Matt the electrician, were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

He was thorough, explained everything and because of him, I did sign to have the work done. He was very professional and very knowledgeable.

Sump pump broke right after warranty

When they were onsite he saw the issue and it is not the type of work they perform. I appreciated the information he could give me. I received a two calls confirming the appointment, one from the office the second from the technician. He also called when he was 30 minutes out.

Terrible customer service! They give you a 4-Hour window and then at the last minute call to say they can't make it that day and reschedule. One of the cracks started to leak again immediately. Customer service was called and a repair scheduled. They never showed up at the schedule time and never called. Still trying to get the crack repaired!

Their service when trying to sell their services was great. Follow-up/maintenance service, however, has been unacceptably poor. For the initial appointment, they confirmed a four hour window on the date scheduled. At the end of that 4-hour period, they called to cancel. I had to take a day off work for this appointment. On a follow-up appointment, the same thing occurred except this time they never bothered to call. I called them twice and was assured someone was on their way. They then said they would have someone call me the next day. No one called, so I called them. AFTER 30 MINUTES ON HOLD, listening to their recording on "ethical behavior" as a company, I was DISCONNECTED! I regret ever going with this company. What's more, I understand their CEO is on the board of the Better Business Bureau - what a joke!

Everything was done as specified. The problem we were having was solved as evidenced by the 3 inch rain we had a couple of days ago.

To be clear, no work was done but an appointment was set up and we were told the name of who would be coming out to our house. On the Perma-seal website, they have pictures of their employees. As we scrolled down we found the gentleman they said would be coming out to give us the estimate. The picture is of a man grabbing his shirt at the nipple area and pulling it out so as to mimic something perverted. I showed my spouse, to whom quickly replied: "you need to call and get another technician scheduled, I don't want you in the house alone with someone who is doing that". I called the next day to request another technician. The manager called back and asked what the problem was, and we again explained. The manager downplayed it and basically told us that it wasn't a big deal and that he didn't see the problem. They couldn't have acted more disinterested and condescending toward our concern. They said that they wouldn't reschedule the appointment. It is remarkable that they couldn't have found a way to say something as simple as, "We are sorry the picture made you uncomfortable, the perception of our business is important, we will look into that. Let's get you rescheduled as quickly as possible". It is unfortunate that in this day and time that they couldn't be a little more sensitive and try to understand why someone might be uncomfortable. We don't know this man and we don't know what to think other than what we see in the picture. What we see in the picture is disconcerting and quite unprofessional. You shouldn't be made to feel that you are wrong for voicing your concern.

Feb 2010. Basement of 100+ year-old house took on water during heavy rains -- we put up with it for nearly 10 years. Permaseal installed drain system inside foundation with drain channels from wall cracks. I had to separately contract for a sewer connection and an electrical outlet. Their work went smoothly -- took a day or two. They were timely and cleaned up after themselves well. It was kind of a mess overall -- I wish we had done it before we moved into the house. We had to move everything away from the basement walls and remove a small staircase so they'd have access. It's been a blessing, though -- we can now use the basement without a worry. We've had them do an annual inspection every year since; technicians are courteous and thorough -- only minor annoyance is that they gently try to sell us new pumps, batteries, etc -- even a new water heater.

They did great work. Very professional, very competent.

Jorge was prompt, personal, and responsive during the estimate process. He addressed all of our questions and concerns with extensive knowledge. We look forward to the completion of the project.

PERFECT Knew what they were doing and did excellent work at reasonable prices.

Aaron Woolfolk presented us with different options that would address our needs regarding our sump pump. He listened to what we were in need of for our basement and didn't attempt to over sell any particular product. Moreover, he followed up with scheduling to validate our install date. Our installation went smoothly too. The installers called within a half an hour of their arrival. They verified the products and work to be performed. And, beyond being courteous and prompt; the work area was left neat.

Awesome job by Fidel,Alex,Javrer and Jose. Very professional, cleaned up nicely after the job!

Victor R. Called to confirm appt. and asked to come early. He came a day early and sealed the crack inside and outside for a reasonable price. Courteous and professional and i would definitely recommend. If someone needs/wants a referral i would be happy to do so.

They wanted to charge me for coming out for sn estimate unless I agreed to hire them during our phone conversation

Although the price was more than I anticipated, but I was still very pleased with the results. Jorge Pareedes was professional and explained all that was needed. He also explained why the price was higher than I expected.

From the moment I met with Perma-Seal Waterproofing's Kevin Gray I was confident he understood our needs. He wasn't pushy - he gave us time to evaluate our options. When we made our decision to hire Perma-Seal the process was easy. Digital signatures, deposit over the phone and a realistic timeframe was quoted. Kevin made himself available the entire process and even followed up after the job was done to make sure everything went well. I told Kevin - his crew foreman Rueben and all the guys working on our job were professional and courteous. Rueben even called me at the end of the day to let me know they were wrapping up and would be back to finish the job. I highly recommend Perma-Seal based on their honesty, price and performance.

Dan Weber came and told me that it would be a good idea to replace the pump I had. I did and he did a great job installing it. He's a good salesman too. I also got a 3-year maintenance contract, so I won't have to worry for another 3 years!
