We are a family owned heating and air conditioning business that focuses on residential and lite commercial work. Opened in 1993 in downtown La Grange and offering fair prices, quality equipment and quality work. We specialize in boiler work, in floor heating and Space Pak installations has well as all the regular work. All employees work for us, are family oriented and hvac educated. We are licensed, insured and bonded. We feature 24 hour service, utilize flat rate pricing and do not up charge our customers. We take great pride in a job well done and are utilized by villages such has Countryside, Willow Springs and Hodgkins. Estimates on new equipment are free and we are people you can trust. This customer bought a humidifier from us through Angie's list. We ran a special promotion with them. The humidifier was installed and everything went well. The unit was a Aprilaire 500M. It is a by pass humidifier that works very well and the pad replaces easily. The installation took under 2 hours. For best results from any humidifier pads should be replaced yearly. Thanks for the nice report.

Description of Work: Assured Air did an absolutely fantastic job. They were professional, courteous, punctual, and very friendly. The guys balanced a large job along with the goings on of our three children and never blinked an eye or seemed intrusive at any time. They listened to our desires and worked closely with us the entire time. We have a home built in 1895 and they took extra care to preserve the aesthetic of the home during the entire project. I would recommend them wholeheartedly!

First off, thanks for the great feedback. This customer had a very good sized home with radiator heat and was interested in adding zoned a/c. We installed 3 separate systems, one per floor to accomplish this. The job took about 2 weeks, with a slightly larger than normal crew. We trimmed the systems out with Nest thermostats, electronic air cleaners and hardwood face plates on one floor. Everything went we'll has suspected. This job is zoned with equipment vs. using many dampers and having big units work on a smaller portion of the project. By zoning it this way, the overall end result is better efficiency, better comfort and control. Also there is less mechanical components to break down. This job is a great example of a larger project that we do well. We have completed projects commercially has well as in historic Frank Lloyd Wright and R. Harold Zook homes. Big or small we can handle them all and the crew is always ready to put their best foot forward.

The customer purchased the special via Angie's list. After e mail contact we found out the customer had a 2 ton unit. To off set the slight cost difference, we offered the customer a furnace cleaning or a free thermostat. The job went well. Frank and his helper did the job. After the work was completed the old units and debris were removed from the work site. Everything went has expected.

This customer has used us a couple of times. We serviced the a/c and now the heat. We strive to do the best we can for our customers. The servicemen do the best they can in managing their time on calls and providing the customer with a fair labor cost for each repair. Our repair prices are said tone some of the best around. Currently our first half hour rate covers the servicemans trip to the customers home and the first 1/2 hour of diagnostic time. After the first 1/2 hour customers are billed in quater hours and parts if needed are extra. We currently have 3 servicemen and are working on bringing on a 4th.. We are Nate certified with most of our workers being family men. Typical service areas are about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes from our location. For customers that we can service beyond this we may apply a small travel charge. Since we are a small company we strive to do right by our customers and try to replace only the parts that are needed. By doing this along with fair priced labor rates the end result is a fair price charged to the customer.

We did a duct cleaning for the customer everything went has expected. The price quoted was the price charged. We have 3 actual air duct cleaning machines and each are very good. We maintain them and keep them running 100%. Our workers take the time to do a through job for each customer and we do not up charge once we arrive at the home. We have found the equipment we use to do a great job. After we are complete, the home should not need another duct cleaning for up to 10 years. We offer deodorization as well for free and dryer vent and furnace cleanings for a additional charge. The main thing we do to get a good end result is we take the time to do the job right. This with the proper equipment gets the best result. A customer can see our equipment and a video on our web site by looking under the duct cleaning tab. We are able to clean homes with one or multiple systems. We believe that since we install duct work, service, install and maintain units, that we are the best at cleaning out the duct work as well. We have been offering this service to our customers since 1994.

This customer had us do a 4 hour duct cleaning at their home. The purchased the advertised service through The Angie's list business center. We received the purchase confirmation and printed it out. No money or credit card information was transferred during the transaction. The customer paid through Angie's list and a few days later we received a check in the mail from them. This was our first business center transaction. The duct cleaning went very well. We spent all of the time at the home to ensure a better process. We use actual duct cleaning equipment. Which is comprised of a 20 hp. duct cleaning machine, air compressor, duct ball and if needed brushes. The machine will do a great job on single systems where the area covered is under 3k sqft.. Included is deodorizer which is fogged into the air ducts near completion if desired. We offer 3 different processes for different sized homes. For multiple system pricing please call the office. It is good to get your air ducts cleaned about every 10 years. After the duct cleaning your filter will need to be changed in about 2 weeks. After that you can return to replacing your filter has normal. Air duct cleaning works and if done right can remove a lot of dust and dirt from your home. All the debris is collected in a large bag and should the customer want to see what was removed, all they have to do is ask the technician. I personally have done duct cleanings and on some homes we have removed even beer cans from the duct work. The process works very well since we install duct work and have the proper equipment to clean it.

This customer called us when it was very hot out. We set him up for a service call and that is all he needed. The problem was solved with in the first 1/2 hour of the appointment and the customer was only charged $66.00 for that time. I have heard a lot of high prices being passed off this summer by other companies. We strive to keep our service prices fair and we do not charge the customer for any additional items unless they approve it. This customer has been with us 2001. He has purchased a new furnace and a/c from us has well. We look forward to keeping him our customer for a very long time.
