The plumber was courteous and professional. Hw gave us an estimate of the needed job.

After reviewing he informed we did not need work and advised we would be wasting g our money you at this time.

Contract via Angie's list based on zip code location. Plumbing service paid via Angie's list: $29 plumbing service call plus $100 towards repairs. However, Excel Plumbing company refused to honor contract based on my zip code location. Angie's list staff and Excel staff were sorry for my inconvenience, however, I'm still without plumbing services at the deal that was paid for via Angie's list. I'm not only inconvenienced, I'm also extremely disappointed.

I'm not happy and probably wouldn't use them again. Their web site says they are open later that other plumbers, but that is misleading. They close at the same time (4 or 4:30) and charge an extra $200 to come after that. There was a 10% off coupon on Angies List I used but after all the work was done the net price they charged was the same without without the coupon. They plumber did do one piece of unnecessary additional work - replace the fully working check valve with a new one - and call it "no charge" as a way to get around the coupon. I attempted to contact them about this but they did not respond. Their choice - and I would not recommend them.

Terrible . Do not use the company. They will scam you and tell you its a privilege they took your money. I travel for work. I had them come out give me an estimate for work while my wife is home chasing around two toddlers. I called their office to confirm the work to be performed. They confirmed the work specifically that the powder room sink is to be secured to the wall with screws. They came and i talked to the plumber and stated I did not want the bathroom tub sink installed as its to much money. They agreed to drop the price by $50 and I went ahead and proceeded with both tub and powder room sink work. When i got back home, I examined the work and they only caulked the powder room sink , did not secure to the wall. The bathroom tub stopper was done in acceptable manner with the price agreed upon. I called the office and they implied that their rep i talked to who confirmed the sink was to be screwed on the wall could not tell me accurate answer as he was not there. Then they proceeded to tell me that I should not have been able to utilize both my Angie's list coupon and the $50 discount given to me for the bathroom tub sink stopper. I simply told them that i dont feel that $129 for caulking is fair. I understand that time was spend and to charge me what is fair cost for your company to caulk a sink. I felt that was a reasonable request to pay for someone's time. The sink is already wobbling and now on top of the $129 , I have to add incremental cost for someone to come in and do the job right. They did not seem to understand that at all. They continued on to state since I was not there its somehow my fault they scammed me for $129 for putting caulk in the sink. I have had most of my house done with good contractors whom do what they promise despite me needed to travel. Excel Plumbing is not a good company. The rep continued to lead down the path of my wife should not have signed off on the paperwork. We are good people and trust that the work to be done is to be performed how its written up, confirmed on the phone. We got scammed by the company. Do not use this company there are plenty of reputable plumbing companies on angies list. They are disorganized, dishonest and feel privileged to scam you out of your money.

Member stated that the service provider claimed they do not service there area. Although Member purchased through Angie's List and was posted in the area. All of Cook County.

Plumber called me and said that he doesn't service my area. He blamed Angie's List for listing my area as part of the deal. He told me to call Angie's List for a refund.

Performed the work within budget and time professionally.

It was good. Yes I would use them again.

They provided me an estimate of two potential fixes; first augering and then if unsuccessful toilet removal and routing the drain. The augering worked and there was no need to go the more costly route.

We decided to get another plumber who came and rodded it out and charged me $300. After two weeks the problem has not recurred. I called Excel's office and told them the whole story. They said that we should have called them the third time. I said that I thought it would be better to get help from a different person having had no luck with their service. And we were desperate to get back to regular showers and laundry! In their final response they said they would give me a $100 credit for future work. I said I wasn't about to call them again! This was their final offer so I said no thanks, I have no option then but to make public my experience. So here I am. $450 for the Excel "service" and $300 for the second. The second plumber also gave me advice as to how to help keep the problem from happening again.

Wonderful. The 2 men who came out to do the work were very nice and professional. Definitely knew there job.

The plumber did a good job of explaining what my options were for both the hose bib and the valve. Everything works fine. However, after he left no caulk was used on the outside faucet and the plate that goes against the outside of the house was not installed. Aesthetically it doesn't look as the one originally installed on the house. Of course I can do the caulking myself but that is what I hired them for. They had the lowest price however.

Excel showed up promptly. Could not fix the leaking faucet, said they needed to contact the manufacturer. Did fix a separate leak, took 5 minutes. Took the manufacturer name and all faucet specifications, promised to get back to me. Never heard another word. Contacted manufacturer myself, they sent me the part for free under warranty, replaced it myself. Total cost was $150 to fix a minor leak and fail to fix the original problem. I cannot recommend these people. UPDATE: Excel Plumbing stated that they called however I never saw the number appear on our caller-id.

The plumber was polite, clean, and efficient. The toilets got repaired and the new parts replaced. My only problem is with the lack of transparency re pricing and the very high prices.

I was very pleased with this company. Their office staff was prompt in arranging a time, called me to check if i could move the time shot earlier, which it was, called me when the plumber was on his way. The plumber who did the work checked the water flow, told me it was accurate for the type of toilet we had, and provided under the Angie's Deal a complete check of all our systems, including the hot water heater. i appreciated that he didn't say, "You really need this other fixture or this other appliance, too" When I suggested a new toilet he gave me choices with prices and offered to find and install the new one I chose for a great price. The office called me to confirm that the one that was ordered was the brand I wanted, which it was. I am so pleased with it and with the price and the professional service by the office and the plumber, Max.

It went very well. Denis was very professional and tested the drains before he left to ensure there were no leaks. He also made sure the area was cleaned up when he was done.

We decided to get the sewer line inspected on a property we were under contract to purchase. Excel was able to accomodate the time we needed on only 2 days notice. Our plumber was on-time, pleasant and did a good job explaining what he found. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

No one followed up in giving me an estimate. They showed up looked at the problem and did not provide estimate. Said they would call. Didn't hear from them again.
