All appeared well until completion when plumber asked for $95. I had understood the quote to be service price which fell under the $100 Big Deal coupon. Call to company office revealed they charge $195 for this job which took 10 minutes of their labor. My experience last year from another plumber was $30 so I felt the price a bit unreasonable. Eventually they left agreeing to only charge $100, the amount of the Big Deal Coupon. After they left I had opportunity to examine work and found it unsatisfactory. Water had ben allowed to drain behind wall and was running out along floor. The shutoff was installed such that drywall could not be replaced nor a access panel installed, as the shutoff level extends into the room when closed. They even provided photos of their own showing this. I called AL for advice on how to proceed and was directed to complete this form with this story as I am uncomfortable dealing with this provider in any way again.

It worked out very well. They patched a leak up in the bathroom that was leaking into the ceiling of the living room. They said the $129 wasn't correct anymore and charged me $300. Why did they charge me $300 instead of the $129? I think they overcharged me. I would use them again if the price was right though. The job they did was good, but the money was too much.

Excel called me shortly after I entered the project to schedule. I was able to pick the date I wanted. Max arrived early and waited briefly for property management to arrive to shut off water in the building. The water was back on within 30 minutes and Max had saved me the trouble of calling to have it turned back on. I had ordered the valve replacements and asked Max to include an estimate for installation of a new Delta faucet with deck plate. He worked up the estimate and even included another coupon I had not known about. The whole job was completed in a little over an hour. Max was courteous and his communication was straightforward. Excel called to follow-up in a couple of days to discover if all went well. The person on the phone doing the scheduling was professional, thorough and congenial. Thanks for your service, Excel.

They were good and very professional. They did a good job. They were here on time. They were really nice guys. It took them about an hour-and-a-half to complete the service. They were pretty good for what they did. Their pricing is right in line, I guess.

Went great. Really helpful. Did the work quickly and correctly. Showed up on time. I showed him a few other Plumbing issues and he gave me some estimates.

The plumber Martin Mcintosh was punctual and very professional. He was extremely knowledgable and explained everything that needed to be done in detail. He treated our house like it was his own and made sure we had good quality products for the best price. He also made sure to clean up after himself. Overall a very friendly courteous guy and we would definitely use him again !

Good. They came on time and out in a new deal on the toilet. Thought they were a little pricey though

I was supposed to have a $100 credit to do this work, but the plumber insisted that he wanted another $80 for the job and wouldn't guarantee the work, however he quoted me a price to install a new heater. I resisted his attempt to sell me a new heater so he left. The $29.00 that I paid for a service call was a waste.

I paid the money through Angie's List but when I called for service they said I wasn't in their service area. Not sure if it's their fault or Angie's List.

Ok provided suggestions for the repair of the leak.

The worker that performed my services, did not know anything about the deal with Angie's List. This resulted in three phone calls to his boss for clarification.

It went very well. He was able to open the valves without needing to turn the water off at the main switch. It was done very quickly. David Kotch was professional and friendly.

Found the problem and cleared the line for successful now of water in the line. Service rep mark was very knowledgeable. NO hidden charges or surprises. Rehired to install a cleanup as recommended by Mark.

I spoke with Excel over the phone regarding their service call promo, but was unfortunately not able to use the promo or their services since my property is outside their service area. That didn't stop them from assisting me nonetheless with my general questions over the phone. If/when I need help and my future properties fall within their service area, I will be calling Excel, second to none so far in my experience. Thank you!

I was smelling sewer gas in my bathroom, so I decided to replace the wax ring on the toilet. The bolts were rusted solid so I had to cut them off with a saw myself. Then I discovered the flange was in rough shape and didn't know how to replace that, so I called Excel because I found a deal on Angie's List for $29 for service call and $100 toward repairs. The guy showed up, and overall was helpful and did a good job, but the pricing and estimate of the job makes me pretty sure they up-charged us to cover the hit they were taking for the discount. They originally quoted $220 for the work, then the plumber took a phone call and was overheard saying "you mean I have to take $120 for this?" And then proceeded to find there was some other piece he'd missed and it would be another $100 to fix the flange. A convenient extra $100 to make up for the $100 discount I was getting. Huh. Not to mention that I did half the hard work by removing the toilet myself. I also provided a wax ring, although they didn't use it. The invoice says the $220 is for "removing the toilet, furnishing and installing new wax ring, resetting the toilet, checking for leaks and proper operations". So I did at least half of that myself. I have had this experience several times: I buy an Angie's List deal and the service provider finds some way to add additional charges that bring it back up to or even more than the original price before the discount. It certainly doesn't incentivize me to come back to the service provider, which is what these deals are supposed to do, I assume.

They were very efficient, and quick. They gave me some insight on how to connect my washer and dryer as well. They helped give me some ideas on other projects I had too.

I cancelled the coupon and had another plumber do the job.

Great service. Prompt, courteous and professional.

The job was considerably more involved than first suspected but was done properly without complaint or additional charges beyond the first stated fee.

It was good. It was a one day job. They were very responsive and quick.

I was very satisfied with the installation.
