Description of Work: Fixed a leaking utility sink faucet in my basement. The plumber replaced the old faucet with a new one but the new faucet was pieced together from 2 different faucets. Handles did not match the faucet. I was okay with that because it is in an unfinished basement but it is not ideal. Also, the plumber replaced part of the pipes because the faucet he had was for 1/2 pipes and my pipes were 3/4 inch. This may have added to the final cost. Since I believe they knew what the problem was and the potential for needing to replace the faucet, they should have been better prepared. Plumber was very nice. He was on time and left the area clean.

Description of Work: The reason we had this inspection done was because our water bill was very high and we suspected a leak in the house somewhere. Our plumber showed up in time and looked at pipes, the hot water heater, ran out faucets, and flushed the toilets and said there were no leaks in the house at all. We were advised to contact our village water department and discuss the issue with them so we did. The village told us they were 95% positive that there was a leak in our toilets somewhere...so I called my dad out to look (should have done this in the first place and saved myself $75) and my dad found the leak. Sure enough it was the toilets in the 2nd floor. The were holes in the actual stoppers. (My dad said this was something the plumber should have also looked at). |Dad to the rescue...he fixed the stoppers and no more leak. |Thanks DAD!

Description of Work: Issue with frozen pipes and reviewing work done by another plumber to reroute pipes so they weren't against brick wall that was causing problem with freezing. They also unclogged tap which had sediment trapped. The plumber that did the work didn't want to come back to check why tap was not flowing correctly. Have used Excel a few times for emergency work in condo as well as scheduled work. They show up on time and plumber is courteous and professional and good about keeping areas clean. They are on the pricey side since they are emergency plumbers but will come out for things like burst/frozen pipes, etc.

Description of Work: Alex came to check a leaking water pipe. Which had stopped leaking. I asked about the kitchen faucet. Alex went to his truck found a brand new one. Gave me a price on the spot. I showed him the bath tub drain Alex said that he had the tools to rod it out, and gave me a price. Excellent Customer Service.

Description of Work: The first guy was incompetent and wanted me to buy a new laundry tub faucet. He didn't tell me I'd have to replace pipes and the cost would be $500.+ more. The second guy was a GODSEND! He replaced the washers IN THE ORIGINAL FAUCET and didn't have to put a new faucet and pipes in. He saved me ($500.). IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHO YOU GET!!!
