George, the first plumber who came out on Friday told me that he needed to have a camera and that he would come back tomorrow, Saturday, November 22, 2014. He came back as promised but unfortunately he was not able to get pass a certain area with the camera. He told me that I needed to be excavated. George said that he would see if he could get the excavators out the same day. When it rains it pours. They were not able to come out the same day, so they would have to come out on Sunday. They came out Sunday. Alex was the excavator who came out and was trying to do what he could to not burst into the walls or cut through the walls. So they would have to come back another day. They came back with a four man crew and voila I have plumbing and they saved me thousands of dollars. They cleaned up after themselves and let me know what additional work needed to be performed. I am just so pleased that the work is complete and that they saved me a ton of cash. Thank you Excel Plumbing!

George did a great job. He located the problem quickly and repaired it promptly. He had no problem fulfilling some last minute requests; since he was making repairs in the kitchen sink area we asked him to also replace the faucet . George was careful to do as little damage as possible to the walls to reach the broken pipe; he made the repair through the back of a cabinet so it was invisible.

I called them on Saturday, and they were able to come out and fix my leaking pipe the same day. David is very professional and knowledgeable. Although the pipe leak was in the unfinished basement, he worked really clean and took precaution for any potential mess, which went without problems. I received an excellent service and would recommend excel plumbing to everyone.

When I called for assistance they were able to get George out to my house in a matter of a few hours. I knew my situation was bad. George explained the sump pump and backup were both not functional. He quoted me on a new system which I knew nothing about. After doing some research this pump is a very good one, great model. George also showed me what was happening, and explained the pump and how it works before installation. I have used Excel since purchasing my home, and they have always given great service.

We needed a sump pump installed as ours gave up the ghost. I had actually called our old plumber, who I had found here on Angie's list, but he had moved out of state, so I found myself looking for a new plumber. I saw Excel's ad and gave them a call. I got very courteous service and was scheduled for the next day to come out, which I thought was wonderful! I thought I'd have to wait a few weeks for an appointment, but their being able to come out right away rates really high with me! Max arrived on time and was very friendly and knowledgeable. When I explained what we we looking for, a new sump pump, he quoted me a very reasonable price. I then asked him what the cost would be if he used a new sump pump I had bought previously. He quoted a lower cost since I was providing the pump. I also asked him about a back up sump pump since our basement has two holes for pumps (who knows why). When we moved in, one hole was for the main sump pump and the other hole was for a back up sump pump, but the back up was deader than dead so we got rid of it, and the second hole remained unused by a pump, but empties into the first hole anyway so the water gets pumped out into the sewer by the main pump. Hope that make sense. Old house, weird problems... After discussing the best course of action, Max let us know that we could plug our sump pump into a battery backup and while the electric was running it would function normally, and when the electric went out, the battery would kick in. Pure Genius! Not only did it save me having to get a second pump, it saved me money too! (and I'm on a small budget!) I highly recommend Excel Plumbing and will use them again when I replace my water heater and re-do my bathroom!

We heard a loud sound throughout our house. Excel replaced the hot water recirculating pump. Excel came out on Saturday and was able to replace the pump on Monday afternoon. Very fast turnaround. We very much appreciated the free consultation as to the issue on Saturday. Price was reasonable. We would definitely use again.

I needed a last-minute valve installation in my laundry room and Excel was the only company able to come out that day. Original appointment was for the afternoon, but an earlier slot opened up and they sent someone within the hour. Conrad came and quickly assessed what we needed, gave me a very reasonable estimate and got to work. Then the complications started. Turns out the main valve from the street was busted, so he had to shut off the water from the street and replace the main valve first, which he did right away. Then he installed the valves in the laundry room, and then a couple more repairs I asked for while the water was off. The final bill was fair, and I was grateful they came same day and finished the job, complications and all. After he left, I noticed that the upstairs bathtub faucet was slowly running hot water. Conrad came back in a couple of hours and fixed it (something got stuck in the valve chamber when the water was turned off and on), no charge. He was professional, friendly, hard-working, and knowledgeable. A great experience.

Timely and professional service. After reviewing other vendors and the parts costs online, the price charged for this replacement was on the high side. With that said, they did an excellent job installing everything and they were able to accommodate my short notice schedule requirement. I'm satisfied with the end result and would definitely consider using them again in the future.

house # 1. I asked the plumber to quote me to replace the old pipes in the crawl with copper pipes and to find out the reason for the poor water pressure in the bath tub. They fixed the water pressure in the tub and sent a quote to replace the old pipes house #2. I asked the plumber to fix the leak in the tub drain and stop the toilet from running. They fixed the running toilet and sent a quote for the leak in the tub drain. ----------------------------------- The quotes were mailed to me but I did not receive them. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, the owner personally addressed the matter, coming to the 2 locations and personally quoting the job himself.

Max arrived exactly on time. He was pleasant and friendly. He looked at the work I needed done and explained to me what he felt was needed. I ok'd the price and he promptly began the work. His partner Uri came to lend a hand and both were efficient and informative throughout the process. The only reason I rated this company as "fair" with regards to price is I have no idea what plumbing jobs cost and since my washing machine was backing up and leaking water on the kitchen floor, I agreed. I may have to have some pipes replaced and I will call these two guys to do the work!

It went extremely well. George quickly diagnosed the issue, recommended I contact the manufacturer for a free replacement (warranty) part, and returned to install the gas control once it arrived. George was prompt, professional - and went beyond in making other recommendation regarding the pressure valve/drainage on my tank. The service was quick, courteous, and quality. I called on Thursday afternoon and the repairman came at 9:30 am on Friday. I'm not sure if you have ever dealt with a broken disposer and a leaking kitchen sink but, basically it's a disaster. You can't run the sink, the dishwasher or disposer. The repairman came promptly, confirmed the price I was given on the phone and then said that he had a $40 coupon that I could use that actually brought my total cost down! He brought a disposer with him which saved me the trip of getting one myself. I wouldn't know which one to get anyway. He replaced my disposer and noticed that one of my j-pipes under the sink was leaking. I happened to have an extra one so he replaced that as well. Thank goodness. By the time he left, I was able to put my kitchen back together and get on with life. Excel Plumbing was prompt and extremely courteous. I am very happy with the service provided and I will call them with any plumbing problems I encounter. It's so difficult to find reliable service providers and this company was GREAT!

George was great. Right on time, professional, knowledgeable, patient with my questions and helped me prioritize some of the plumbing issues that need to be addressed in the future. He was also scheduled to video our sewer line but after talking with me suggested that we wait so they can send out one of their guys with a camera that copies videos so we have a copy for the village if a repair is needed. We rescheduled that appt for later in the month when both my husband and I can be present... Much easier for me than trying to explain things to him later! I have had several plumbers come out with excel and they were all great. They are tidy and polite and I will continue to call them for all my plumbing issues.

I called to schedule an appointment. John the plumber came out promptly and on time. He explained the work that would be done and provided me a very competitive estimate, a lot lower than the first estimate I received from a different company. John was very polite and professional. The crew showed up on time as scheduled. They too were very polite and professional. The crew was excellent. These guys really know what they're doing. John went the extra mile to make sure I was very satisfied with the results. I would definitely call them again for plumbing and sewer service.

John came back promptly the next day and fixed the problem. After he was done I mentioned that we might need to have them come back out and give us some estimates because we've always had poor pressure in the shower in our addition. He went into the bathroom, flushed the toilet, turned on the sink and the tub faucets... then turned on the shower. In about one second he said your pressure is fine - and asked how long has this been going on? I said since they installed it and he said "Have you ever thought it might be the restricted flow shower head?" Duh! I happened to have another shower head, he replaced it and Voila! It's fixed. We've gotten estimates from other companies who said we'd have to change our pipes or put special ejectors on the pipes that would have cost thousands. John is a wonderful, knowledgeable plumber!

Easy. Serge explained everything and it worked during our heavy storms all year. This March the pump didn't seem to be triggering as the snow was melting and I called them out to look because I was worried. Vlad came out and we ran warm water through the system and it ran perfectly. Apparently, the outflow pipe outside was frozen so the warm water melted the ice and the system has worked without issue since. If I had waited a week the pump would have started working as the snow melted. But the warm water got things started. But Julie at Exel sent the guys out immediately because rain was forecast and I was afraid we would flood. She was awesome.

My home was visited by the work team of Serge and David. They arrived promptly on time for the AM appointment. My home s distance from the street main is about 175 feet, which they took care to open the line quickly and efficiently. They even had time to offer a complimentary camera inspection of the pipe close to the clean out to diagnose a previously existing problem with a break in the pipe line. Serge thoroughly explained what could be done to repair the break and offered an excellent price quote. My household is highly satisfied with the work done with this company would like to continue to work with this company in the future.

Yesterday I came home from work to find my water heater on the 1st floor was leaking. I contacted several plumbing companies around 8pm and was not able to get a good response and started to panic. One of my friends is a contractor and recommended I contact Excel Plumbing. Excel plumbing came out within 1.5 hours. The order taker on the phone was very knowledgeable and took time to explain everything to me in order to calm me down. The plumber that arrived on site had a name tag and was wearing a uniform and was very professional. Within 2 hours he was able to install the water heater. I was very happy with everything and will definitely recommend this company to others.

I have very impressed with how professional they were. They came on time; had booties for their shoes so they wouldn't leave my floor dirty; they looked clean cut and professional. They fully answered my questions and seemed very knowledgeable. The gave me good advice on how to prevent same problems in the future. It was top notch service. I will definitely use them again.
