+ -1 morePlummer arrived. Looked at what needed to be done very briefly and said he won't work on it and that the whole house's plumbing would need to be replaced. he estimated $4k-$7k and took the $29 service fee. At which point he was asked to leave. Scam... both for Excel and Angie's List.
Description of Work: Purchased Angie's List deal. needed to have a drain pipe installed, as well as a hot and cold tap, to move our washer and dryer into the utility room (near hot water heater and where all water and gas enters the home.

The lady answering the phone was not very helpful, extremely rude, and said I would have to pay $29 for an estimate even though I know exactly what is wrong. They probably have good plumbing services, but the customer service and the lady answering the phone could use some help.

Description of Work: Our basement had flooded while we were out of town and our housekeeper found it and cleaned it all up. We thought it was a sewer issue but were grateful when the man from Excel diagnosed the problem to be our clogged sump pump that was not working. He advised us to call the company who had just installed the pump a year ago as it should be under warranty. We did that and now have a new sump pump. Excel Plumbing was very honest and helpful and for sure we'll call them again in the future.

We did have a problem which they took full responsibility for and followed through until it was fully resolved. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again.

+ -1 moreIt went well for the most part. We thought the issue was fixed the first time but it was't. We contacted Excel and they sent the same plumber out and he fixed it for good.
Description of Work: Had a leaky toilet that was repaired but still leaked a bit. The plumber came back within a few days and fixed it for free. He did a few smaller things but we've not had a problem since that time. Initially he replaced a seal and reset the toilet. When he came back he used a shim to fix the situation because the toilet is on a slight slope.
