When they came out the first time things did not go well. I was very impressed when I contacted them after the work was done. They asked me to send them pictures, so I did. I was very pleased with there work after they fixed my outdoor spicket.

I have been all my life in retail- and service oriented industries and I know, what it takes to get the business but how easily it is lost again through poor follow-up performance. Much of it I used to do myself but now I am 78 yrs. old, retired, disabled after eleven(11) operations on my left leg with a knee replacement gone wrong, infection and more. Luckily I get a good Soc. Sec. Check and two pensions so I can afford to hire somebody to do I job for me. But this job, this man of Excel Plumbing hurt Angie's List, his company and include me, because as important the flushing of the toilet is in daily life but I have two full bathrooms. More so was important for me was to get the Security- Grab-bars installed because many seniors loose their lives through falls. If you have a good installer, handy-person, somebody you trust, please, connect me to this person and a reasonable price with it. I solve my problems but often problems show up in many different ways: For the last two years I have used snow plow services but I could not proceed to look for one as Yellowbook.com supplied me with the North Shore edition of the phone book, not the LAKE COUNTY one, which has many more people in it looking for this type of service as they do in the summer the Landscaping business, mostly Hispanics, would need the snow-removal income to get through the Winter. Northshore lists only a few names, mostly in the very rich Northshore suburbs like Winnetka, Wilmette etc. Let's see if we can get a reasonable relationship going as I need some help because of age, disability plus also I live since 1992 in this home. That's why to TV's went on a Fritz for me and needed to be replaced and my family helped me on their day-off, Columbus Day, one a teacher, the other, the son, a HS senior. Give me a call, if it all helps. Consider Senior discounts with all as I get from AARP, etc., because my pensions don't go up nor the Soc. Security only in Election yrs., probably next year when our votes are needed again.

once the serviceman got there, he was very professional and gave me step by step details along the way. because the leak source was not known, it was not a routine repair. it required a bit of investigative work. ultimately the pipes were found to be in good working order and the serviceman made recommendations on how best to reseal and re-caulk the tiles.

The clog that I attempted to remove for weeks was removed in about. Iten minutes. I was blown away, He then removed a toilet that was leaking and lnstalled a new wax ring. Works like nrew again.

One leak was repaired. Second leak was not from plumbing, but a/c condensation runoff tube not reconnected from when a new furnace was recently installed. This would be covered by HVAC warranty , but was impressed that he was honest in telling me.

It went pretty well. What they did well was the attention to detail. They had good workmanship, good professionalism and willingness to schedule pretty quickly. Their timeliness and price would have made a better experience for me.

Work was done fast and nice.

They were excellent. It was an old fitting and their price was justified. It works very nicely and I was very pleased with the work.

We had a total of three visits to fix this leak. The first two visits were with the same plumber. We received a call within the window of our appointment, but each time, the plumber showed up about an hour and a half later. That was okay, as we understand how Chicago traffic works. :) The first visit was just to get the quote, with the second was an attempt at the work, but since we have an older house, it required some extra tools that weren't with the plumber. On our third and final visit, we got the wonderful Byronn. He was not only within the window of the scheduled time, but with the exception of having to get some washers for our issue, he was done within 45 minutes. He was extremely polite and friendly and spoke in non-plumber talk to me so I understood what the issue was. Since we thought the issue was just on the hot water side, he went ahead to proactively replace the washers on the cold side as well. And since our washers aren't going to be made anymore, he gave use two more for the future. After all of that, he even ended up getting the original quoted price down from $484 to $318 ($268 was our total cost thanks to the Angie's List deal.) We aren't too handy and we are so thankful to have a company we feel we can depend on again if needed.

Everything was OK and the technician was very punctual, very professional and very friendly. However, I never imagined that such a simple repair (apparently) could be so expensive.

The plumber did a good job. Our old faucet had not been replaced for over 25 years so it was hard to remove. The space under the sink was tight & was difficult to reach but he was able to do it. The new faucet (which we provided) was installed correctly and we no longer have any leaking. We haven't used a professional plumber for many years so we were a little surprised at the cost. Glad we purchased the $50 coupon thru Angies list which gave us $100 of plumbing services. It would have cost us $220 to remove old & install the new faucet but actual dollars spent was $170.

Found this provider based on an advertisement on Angie's List offering $100 worth of service for $50. Bought the coupon, made the appointment, and it was easy and quick to schedule the work. In total, the cartridge replacement to stop the faucet dripping took 30 minutes of work and cost $200 out of pocket. The next day when we used the shower, we discovered water all over the bathroom floor. Turned out that although the dripping from the faucet stopped, there was water leaking from where the faucet joins the shower wall. The plumber had removed, disassembled and reassembled the faucet the day before. We called the provider, explained the situation and they re-sent the same plumber to our house on his first available appointment, which was Monday morning. This left us without the use of the shower all weekend. The plumber came Monday morning as promised and in the end fixed the leaking problem, which was caused by a broken gasket, presumably broken when the plumber removed/disassembled the faucet. We were not charged for the follow up appointment. We're happy that the company responded promptly, professionally, and acknowledged its own mistake and fixed the problem without charging anything extra. But we'd rather have preferred no mistake, no second trip and no more time dealing with the tub faucet.

The technician arrived right on time. I had a bathroom faucet and the hold and cold handles could not be turned. I also feared I had a hot water heater leak. He looked at the hot water heater and found I did indeed have a leak and part of the internal holder were getting into the pipes and forming a gel which prevented the faucet from working properly. The hot water heater is 24 years old and he told me it was at the end of its useful life since most manufacturers now only warrant their hot water heaters for seven years. I had the technician provide me a verbal quote for the hot water heater and replace the faucet which he did and did a minor repair on my bathtub drain. The only thing I would recommend to Excel is that their plumbers use painter's tarp while working. The tools and pipes could have easily scratched the tile but more importantly, the plumber did not throughly clean the floor and left very tiny bits of debris throughout the floor which I had to clean up. The work area should be left the way it was found, but this is a minor issue overall.

He was good. he had to get an electric saw to remove the faucet. i would have never gotten it off. He was a very nice guy and worked hard.

Excel did a fine job installing my new hot water heater; so, I thought I'd use them again for minor plumbing concerns. I even purchased the interior stems for the Chicago faucets to make installation speedy. I presumed its installation would be maybe a 20 - 40 minute job for everything combined. I was certainly surprised that the on-site plumber quoted a price for the job that exceeded the one-hour coupon value, and that their new policy doesn't cover the type of work described in their Angies List ad. I found another plumber who got it done in less than 30 minutes and at half the cost.

They contacted me by email immediately after I went through Angies List. Set up a time and date. They called and said their plumber was actually running early and asked if he could come a half hour earlier than the appointment and of course I said yes. The plumber was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and experienced. All in all it was a good experience.

I thought it was a bit expensive as it cost $275 to rod out one drain line. The inspection cost of $75 was in addition to the $275 to clear the line.

These guys are great! I needed to get my home inspected with only one days notice before heading out of town. I called Excel Plumbing and without hesitation they accommodated my request. The gentleman who came out was very professional and made sure to show me the video screen as the camera went through the pipe.

George was the plumber that came to our house and it was easily the best contractor experience I have had. He was extremely prompt, professional and skilled. He even insisted on covering his shoes with covers (even though I told him it was unnecessary) and then immediately diagnosed the problem and the solution and gave me a clear and reasonable estimate. He then dove into fixing the problem and had the whole project done in less than an hour. I would use George and Excel again for any plumbing project. I could not rate George higher - he was terrific He even offered tips to handling a larger leak to mitigate water damage.

Two plumbers, Byronn and John, arrived on time. They were both very professional, clearly skilled and efficient, but were also very pleasant and interesting to talk to. It was a pleasure to have them in my home and I would be happy to recommend them and to have them do plumbing work for me in the future. It was an unusually good experience. The work was done very well, they paid attention to details, and I am very pleased with the outcome of their work at my house.

Punctual, but the price was too high, had some trouble with getting the invoice for the service.

Everything went as expected. Service was efficient and plumber was here on time. We discussed options together and he was knowledgeable. Quoted price for remodeling/repair work was pretty high and I hope to be able to negotiate that price to something more reasonable. But I have not paid for anything other than the initial service as of yet. Overall a good first experience with Excel.
