Description of Work: Very professional and honest. Our air conditioner stopped working this summer and since it is the original when the house was built, it really needs to be replaced but he said he would fill it with the freon for now since we needed time to save up for a new one.. He didn't try to sell us on anything, just very polite and honest.

Description of Work: We purchased a new furnace and air conditioner from Discount Heating to replace our 20 year old units. The price was very competitive with other bids. Steve was very professional and thorough during every step of the process, including answering additional questions we raised after his visit. The installers arrived promptly on the schedule date and completed their work very efficiently. They were pleasant & courteous and cleaned up the work areas. Both units are working well and are surprisingly quite. In short, Discount Heating exceeded our expectations in every way. We deliberately selected a local firm where the staff has clear desire to make the business succeed.

Description of Work: Carrier Air Conditioner was installed by another vendor, Spring 2008. | Checked and cleaned ac unit. Tech informed me, unit was very low on coolant. Add 2 lbs coolant. Tech was very efficient and professional. Will definitely use again.

Replaced blower motor on furnace.
Description of Work: Replaced blower motor on furnace. Part costs less than $200 when I checked on the Internet. So &500+ was labor. And let's not forget the $85 they charge just to come out.

Mr. [Member Name Removed], We are sorry that you feel this way about our company but after reading your review I need to point out a few things. You had contacted us yesterday and a service person arrived at your home at 3:22 PM. He found an American Standard 90% Downflow furnace that had a failed main fan motor. The service tech advised you of the problem and costs prior to repairing. In addition the tech had to drive to the American Standard supplier to get the correct approved motor for your furnace of which was more than $200.00 he then had to cut away the PVC exhaust pipes that were in the way, remove the computer board, transformer, low voltage wiring, and then the blower housing. Now that the motor was installed the tech had to reinstall the blower housing with the new motor, install the computer board, install the transformer, the low voltage wiring and then reconnect the PVC venting pipe. The service tech then had to test everything to make certain that everything would work as it should. He finished all of this work at 7:04 P.M. so that you would have heat as requested. We understand that the repair was not cheap but you were advised along the way and you have a 5 year parts and labor warranty on this repair. We are the only ones that offer this. Please read the terms and conditions on the invoice written in "Easy to read" writing. Should you need anything further feel free to contact us anytime. Thank you very much.

Our price of $69.95 for the furnace cleaning and $20.00 for the water heater correction is the best around. During the annaul service of your system, Brian located a potentially dangerous situation with your water heater and corrected it, that in itself should have generated an "A" rating. Brian gave your furnace a clean bill of health.
