I spoke to their office about setting up a time to meet one of there reps at my home. The woman I spoke to was very helpful and professional. She set up an appointment with Mark, the owner, for September 13th at 6:30. I gave her my cell number so that he could contact me if he was going to be late. He didn't show up and didn't call. Thank you for wasting my time.

Really great guy! I did not end up buying the house for which I got the landscaping estimate, but I fully expected to when I asked him to provide the estimate. He lived near the property in question and was able to visit it easily and provide an estimate fairly quickly. I will probably use him for work in the house I did finally buy if he does work in that area

Called Schmidt to ask for an estimate. They called back within a couple of days and schduled an appointment for the next week. We had a short discussion of the work. They returned a quote in about a week and half. I chose another landscaper because I liked their ideas a little better. The price was in line with the work proposed.

Mark Schmitt has done work for us since 2007. He removed a deck and replaced it with a patio of paving stones. He helped us with our design and installed the patio. He rerouted our drainpipes under the patio and out into the yard. He stopped by occassionally those first two years to make sure all was going well with our patio. It's great! The next project was a French drain from our back yard to the front. This entirely eliminated a marshy area in our backyard and allowed our sump pump to work only when it rained and not to pump and repump the same water. He helped solve a water problem between my neighbor's yard and ours. We are now thinking of putting up an arbor and will again go back to Schmitt's Landscaping Co.

He had a better price than another company and he seemed to understand what I wanted better. I wasn't trying to spend a lot of money and I wanted the bare bones necessities on what needed to be done. He understood that and when I talked to him, he repeated back what I said like he understood what was going on. I thought it was sort of funny because he sounded like a therapist because he was wanting to understand what the client wanted. I was very impressed with that. He wanted to make absolutely certain he understood what was going on and I liked the fact that he wasn't trying to upsell me. He was only going to do what I asked. He also suggested that I get some work done that he didn't do, such as tree pruning, so I respected the fact that he wasn't just out to make a buck. He was kind of late sending me a bill, but I'm not sure that was a bad thing.

They are very responsive, and they do good work. Their prices are competitive. They aren't the lowest price, but they are good enough.

Can't say, never showed up.

Mark was very professional and sent me a computer generated sketch of the proposed final project, including modifications requested by me. Although the estimate added a few extras, such as preparing the borders for planting with mulch, the price proposed was nearly twice that of others. Suggestion: Negotiate with this company!

He was great. We are very pleased with the work. It ended up looking very nice. His planning what plants to put where was fine. I would hire him again in the future.

I asked Mark Schmitt to give me a quote. He came by within the week, listened to what I wanted, showed me samples of stone pavers, unilock construction and gave me a couple of ideas. He came back in the week with a drawing which we agreed on. As this was too late in the season, November and too cold, we waited until spring. In the spring he came back to conform what we were going to do and sent his crew to begin. He came to inspect the job and saw that everything was being done properly. His crew cleaned up everything when they left, including sweeping my driveway. The new brick patio is beautiful and I would hire Schmitt's Landscaping again.

EXCELLENT WORK. CONSCIENTIOUS AND FRIENDLY. JOB TOOK A LITTLE LONGER THAN EXPECTED BECAUSE NOT ENOUGH BRICKS HAD BEEN ORDERED FOR THE JOB, HOWEVER HE WAS VERY ACCOMMODATING WHEN WE TACKED ON THE PATIO AFTER THE ORIGINAL MEETING.

GREAT WORK, NOT THE CHEAPEST.

THE DO A GREAT JOB. MY YARD IS THE BEST LOOKING IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. PEOPLE ASK ME WHO DOES OUR YARD.
