Very good aas usuual. I have gotten to know and use Benito's for six years now and there is no other lawn care and landscaper that even comes close to the attention a quick response of Benito's team. I have neighbors that ended up hiring them also due to the envy of my yard. Benito's is a REAL neighborhood great business. Great, hard-working family members. Benito's is a reliable landscaping company. They keep their appointments and are flexible with scheduling the work. They are always polite and professional. We are using them again this year.

I hired Benitos to remove a paver brick patio. I was going to have them reset the patio but I was open to ideas on what else could be done. The foreman told me he and the owner would meet with me to discuss ideas about how and what we could replace it with. After weeks of delays and no word from anybody at Benitos I tried calling them several times only to get a full voice mail box. I left messages when I could, I even e-mailed them asking when they were going to start work. With every rainfall I was still fighting water leaking into my basement. I never heard from Benitos until 7 weeks later. The foreman finally called and said he would get a crew out to remove the patio and stop the water from coming in the basement. I asked him to let me know when they were coming so I could transplant a couple of flower beds that held special Irises. The flowers have been in my wife's family for generations. The next week I came home from work and was surprised to discover a crew working in my yard. I was not told they were coming. The flower beds were gone, 1/2 the patio was gone and the foreman was nowhere to be found. The crew was working on the premise that they were to reset the patio. This was never decided because nobody from Benitos ever met with me. At this point I was given the direct phone line to the owner. He told me that the crew was doing what I wanted. I told him we had never decided anything. Then he started telling me that I never gave him a down payment and he needed payment to continue. I told him he had no right to begin the project without my approval or permission. l stopped all work and the crew had to go through their dump truck to try and find any Irises that were still viable. They came back the next morning and transplanted what they could. A few days later I met with the owner and told him I wanted to pay for what they had done so far and then we would part ways. Honestly I had every right not to pay them a penny because I never singed any agreement and never gave them any down payment. But I am not out to hurt them, I just wanted to get a job done. The owner was indignant and actually attempted to blame me for changing my mind. I told him I had NEVER come to any conclusion on what to do because he and the foreman never met with me to go over anything. He also wanted full payment even though the job was not complete. His attitude was and quot;let’s not worry about the pastand quot; I told him that I no longer trusted his company and would not do business with them. After lots of back and forth they knocked off $200.00 dollars from their bill. I paid them and spent the rest of the summer trying to find a contractor that could fit us into their schedule. Benitos was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a contractor. I would not recommend them for anything. My experience began in April 2013 and ended in disaster in July of 2013. I was never able to find another contractor mid-season that could add our job into their schedule leaving us with a mud and gravel pit backyard for the rest of the summer and I still have water leaking into the basement after it rains from the part of the patio Benitos left behind. We now have a new contractor set to install a stamped concrete patio. What a difference, they met with us and got everything drawn out, we were given clear and concise information on what they plan to do and how it will be done as well as cost and a timeline. We chose colors and patterns and they are going to clean up the mess that Benitos left us with.

We have used Benitos in the past after finding them on Angies List. Whenever they leave our yard it looks so good. They work hard and are always pleasant. Whenever I have had to contact the office, Dean has been very helpful. Most important Benito knows his business and goes out if his way to satisfy the customer.

While they did a good job, they did not show up until the very end of the day. I found their prices to be at the high end of the range for similar services. Value for money was just not there. But what I found most maddening was the fact that they do not return calls or emails. I had to chase them down to get a quote. I think AL has made them very popular and they simply have too many customers. I will be shopping elsewhere - where companies really want my business.

Called for an estimate on weekly lawn mowing. Daughter said father would call back but didn't. I called again and daughter arranged for time for Benito to come out for estimate. He never showed up or called to cancel. My neighbor uses him so it would've been advantageous for him to have this work when already on the block. Daughter was professional and polite but father blew me off!

I can't remember what their charges were but I don't think it was too bad. I don't think there was a deal and I just had them come out. I may call them again for the other half of the yard. They were on time and they did a nice job. They were done in a day. They came right away.

Timely, clear proposal, no hidden extras and did good job. (including clean up)

When we first contracted this company, it took several calls and emails before they actually came out to mow our lawn. They were suppose to come bi-weekly but sometimes they came weekly and we were charged for it. When I called to discuss this, the man I spoke to was very nice. He apologized for the double charges and he changed our bill to reflect the bi-weekly service only. Towards the end of the summer the guys who came out did a sloppy job with our lawn, leaving large patches of uncut grass and crooked lines. My husband on a few occasions had to go out to watch them to make sure they did a decent job. We are going with someone new this year. Our neighbors' lawn looks great so we will use their guys.

Went very well. They did all we asked and more. It was the most thorough job we've had done over the years, and we will continue to use them. Highly recommended.

Benito's landscaping came to our house to provide an estimate but never gave one.

They are great! I have used him for at least 5 years. Sometimes I have used him for landscaping clean ups, but I have a regular landscaping service that I use that I like very much that's why I don't use him for that. He is very reliable, honest, and he is reasonably priced. I've been dealing with him for 5 years so every year, I call him back. Obviously, I like him. He does a good job. I'm very happy with him. I pay him per plow but he requires an initial nonrefundable deposit of 5 plows. He charges me $35 a plow. I suspect that depends on your property on how much it is going to cost, but I pay him upfront for 5 plows whether or not I need 5. Actually this year it's getting close to 20. He comes and he's just very easy to deal with. I like him a lot. He's a very nice guy and I like supporting him. I use him every year and I have recommended him to friends who also have liked him.

Professional and meticulously done as usual. We've used them for years. They do a great job.

We're using them for 2 years now. We pay $40 a week for the mowing and the fertilizer cost is different for every package. They speak English. I think they're a little overpriced but at least they have a very professional system and you get an invoice. It's a well-established company compared to other smaller businesses.

Very thorough fall clean up. They actually cut back many of my bulbs and shrubs which I didn't expect. The work was great. Can't wait for the spring to begin working on the other projects we discussed with them. Would highly recommend Benito,s

We were so pleased with the work that we had them come out and do additional work to the east side of the house and around our deck. We are planning on calling them back this spring to do work in the back yard and the west side of our home. We sometimes had to wait a few days for a return call but I figured that they had to be very busy and the wait was well worth it for us.

They were fantastic! We did not have much contact with them during the beginning of the spring/summer because they just had their schedule and were here doing what they needed to do when they needed to do it. But towards the middle of the summer, my husband started complaining about how the landscaping looked crowded and overgrown. (NOTE: this was NOT due to Benito's - keep reading...) The landscaper who installed our plant beds several years ago spaced the plants for the size they were at planting, not considering how they would grow and look once it all filled in. So I called Benito's and Benito himself came out to go over the issues we had with the plant beds. He listened to me and then offered some suggestions on what he could do to improve things. When the the flowering of the plants stopped a month or so later, he came back out with a couple guys and they trimmed and shaped and moved some plants around and we were SO happy with the results! We were proud of our landscaping again! My only issue was that they did not call to give me an estimate of what this work would cost before they performed it. But it desperately needed to be done and we were not unhappy with the price they charged, so it turned out fine. And the rest of the summer/fall was just as it had started; their crews coming out when they were scheduled to and caring for our yard even better than we would have been able to. I highly recommend Benito's Landscaping!

We have had more than several lawn care companies in the last 13 years that we've lived here and have not been satisfied with any until Benito's. We started with the big Spray and Pray companies (Chem..., Green.... etc) but wanted more personal service. When we interviewed a new company we would explain that we're willing to pay what is necessary but we want someone who will be proactive with our lawn and let us know what is necessary. We have a problem with fungus rings and poor grass coverage. The last company before Benoito's removed and replaced dirt and seeded with very poor results. We gave them two years and our lawn still looked like drek. Benito's aerated, reseeded and applied fungicide and FINALLY our lawn is looking better. We have grass growing where none would before. Very satisfied with the service during our first 6 months with them and intend to renew for lawn service in 2014

I didnot use them. I choose a different land scraper that I like the price.

It went very well. Benito's crew came while we were away at work and performed a very professional leaf removal on our property. They were also mindful of the shrubs and plants we have in the flower beds and took care not to damage them during the removal. We've used them for two years now and would recommend them and their services to anyone.

They were fantastic and pretty wonderful. They did a fantastic job for me. I would highly recommend them. Their price was great and they were extremely responsive at that time. When I could not get anyone else, they got people out here the same day or the next day. They were quick, clean and easy to deal with. They did a great job and I could not ask for better. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

They always get the work done and do it well. There was an issue with billing earlier in 2013 when they were mowing my lawn but that was caused by personnel issues, and was eventually cleared up. I depend upon Benito's throughout the year for various services, and they've never let me down. They're more expensive than other services I've used, but certainly worth the additional cost. What I like most is that they don't use huge riding mowers that create ruts in the lawn. They can also fit me in even when I don't sign up for the entire season; e.g., if I'm going to be away I need my lawn mowed or as with this winter when my snow blower quit on me. I was told by DuPage Landscaping that they'll mow only if I sign up for the entire mowing season.

The crew did a very good job with the snow removal. The problem is that I asked the three times not to come between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:00 am. Even though they agreed to this, they continued to come at hours that I asked them not to (often at 2:00 am) resutling not only in waking up my family, but causing my neighbors to complain. I am very disappointed in their lack of professionalism.

They are always here very early to remove the snow.

No services were actually provided but what occurred did not go so well. I called for a bid for lawn aeration got a voicemail from Dean, left a message and he returned my call a couple days later. We played phone tag a couple times but when I actually spoke with him he sounded positive about him or someone will be out to look at our property and give a bid. When he sent me the bid via email, it listed multiple services but not the one I actually asked for. I emailed Dean back and let him know there was a mistake he was apologetic and was wanted to know what we originally asked for and would send the correct bid over. I never responded back since I already called once to request information, I shouldn't have to do it twice.
