We have a contract with them. It just looks much better when they are done. The service is excellent. This is the second year that we have used them. We have been pleased. They are all very professional. When I am home and when I have the moment, I look out and I see them just working away doing the lawn. I do not have an appointment time sort off. They come on the day they are supposed to come. It is not like they come at 12 every time. They just come on that day and that is just all I need that they come on that day.

Firm upfront estimate provided. Competitive and reasonably priced. Crew professional and office is very responsive. Work is of the highest quality and completed on schedule. Equipment and materials stored neatly and safely at the end of each work day.

It went better than expected. The price was right and possibly even under priced for the amount of work that was performed. I will definitely use them in the future!

Last year I had them do some leaf pick-up and tree removal which was OK. So this year I contracted Benitos to do some landscaping work, consisting of clearing and preparing planting areas, adding mulch, removing some rocks and laying some sod. They came out late on a Saturday, the laborers worked hard clearing weeds, but when laying the sod I realized that they were not very skilled or experienced in landscaping work (sod was mismatched, base was not prepared, seams were not together, etc.).The day ended and they said they would be back on Monday to finish. They never returned and claimed that they only quoted half the job and they were done. They should stick with mowing grass and picking up leaves and leave landscaping work to professionals.

We've contracted Benitos two times prior and have been very happy with their service and work ethic. We received a thorough estimate for work to be done and chose to only have the gardens weeded and mushroom compost added for winter preparation. The beds were meticulously weeded and hoed with a 3-man crew, including Benito early in the morning. Most of the day was with a 2-man crew who worked steadily until about 3:45 p.m. when the job was completed. Benito plus another crew member arrived later to finish the compost project. Julie and Lucy was very helpful in the main office, in spite of our time constraints, and handled everything in a professional manner. My suggestion to anyone who contracts Benito's is to maintain communication with Julie and Lucy and follow-up. We hit a couple of snags with the timing of the work, but worked them out. Thank you, Benito, and all for another successful job!

It was a lot of work to remove the sand and the rocks. The crew cleaned the area before starting the layout for the patio and fire pit section. They also started to dig trench for sump pump line to have it exit to back of yard. When Pascual from Benito Landscaping first came out, our first thought was a 6' diameter for circle area and he suggested 8' for what we wanted to use it for. We did not measure ourselves to visually see the diameter size. When the workers and I were talking about the best place for the circle part of the design, they used spray paint to create the circumference of 8', 10' and 12', and I put the fire pit and chairs in each circle, so there would be no second guessing. The workers who they sent out are so nice and understanding. If I had any questions, they stopped working and listened to what I had to say or questions I had. They helped me visually see the work in progress. After the patio and circle area was completed, they started on laying the sod and also my prefabricated cement squares and circles for the walkway. They made sure my walkway was under the grass line so that the lawn can be mowed right over them. The last item to be completed was the mulch. The crew from Benitos' Landscaping pulled all the weeds and junk out of the garden before laying down the mulch. When I asked, they stated they could not put the mulch down without cleaning it up first, it just would not look right. Now what company does that They were here for 4 days. Arrived every day at 8am and stayed until 6pm. Very hard workers not only did a perfect job but also cleaned up every evening. When the job was over, you did not know I had a landscaping crew on my property.

I had been with Benito's since 2012 and had been very pleased with their service. One of the reasons I retained their service in the beginning was because they did not use stand-on mowers for residences. The services they provided (mowing, fertilizer and weed killer applications, edging, and snow removal) were all done professionally. I had no complaints at all. This is also the reason I didn't mind paying more for these services ($35 for mowing and $35 for snow removal) than I paid previously for the same tasks from another outfit. I don't know what happened this year. I had been away for a couple of months and I know it rained quite a bit this Spring. When I returned, I noticed a lot of ruts on my lawn, and grass completely dead where the grass had previously been a little thin. My neighbor told me that they were using stand-on mowers while I was away. After I returned, I saw them using the stand-ons. I confronted one of the workers, and he told me that Benito's had changed to ALL stand-ons. When I complained, he brought out a walk-behind mower and finished mowing. I contacted Benito's via email and was told that they indeed use walk-behind mowers in residences and, in fact, had changed to ALL walk-behinds. I also complained that grass clippings were not removed as they used to. I was told the workers should have done this and that they would be reminded to do so. The following week the walk-behind was used and grass clippings not picked up. I wrote again, and was told that they would be reminded to pick up the clippings. The next week, the worker again was using the stand-on mower and did not pick up clippings. As for snow removal, I realize this past year the snow was unusually heavy. One day when we were expecting a big storm, snow was cleared very early in the morning. Later in the day after the street was cleared, I had to get out of my driveway so I had to clear the heavy and icy snow from the end of my driveway. I also cleared all the snow in the driveway and the front walk as it had snowed quite a bit after Benito's cleared the snow. Benito's agreement was that snow would be cleared from my front walk (I'm on a corner), but not from the side. That was not a problem as the Village always cleared the side. Later in the day, someone from Benito's came and shoveled a small path on the side. The Village came along later with their machine and cleared the side. I was double charged by Benito's for that day when I had cleared most of the snow myself. I did complain and that second charge was removed. I don't know what has happened with Benito's service, but there were too many disappointments this year to continue with them. I might as well go to another service even if they use stand-on mowers; at least the charge will be $25 and not $35. Previously, I also paid $25 for snow removal from the driveway and both front and side walks. I guess we don't always get what we pay for.

Pascual came and met with us prior to quoting the job. On the day of service he was there first thing in the morning with this crew to go over the details. His team worked from 7:30a to 6p to finish the job in one day. Our landscaping went from an overrun weed infested area to making our home look excellent from the outside. The whole team there does great work and is very professional and responsive.

We have used Benito's at least once a year for the last 4 years and our large back yard is really improved. They have done many projects for us and we have been pleased with all of them. The workers may vary, but all are polite, hard workers and do very good work. I would always recommend them to members. You need to be aware that the only issue with them, is call early to get on the schedule. You need to be patient as they are not quick always to reply, though are getting a little better. However, they are worth the wait.

They were outstanding. They were highly dependable and did an excellent job. What was most impressive was their service and professionalism. One time they damaged a bush on the side of my driveway. They notified me of the damage immediately and offered to replace the bush for free. They even replaced the undamaged bush on the other side of the driveway so that it would match. They did so promptly. They were most professional. No muss, no fuss. I would hire them anytime.

I contacted Benito's Landscaping via Angie's List email messages. I received a response asking for a time to schedule the estimate. I indicated that I was flexible, and than any time was ok with me. After that, I never got another response. Noone ever came to do the estimate. i subsequently sent two more email messages, to no avail.

I've been using Benito's Landscaping services for about 2-1/2 years now and am very pleased. The crews they send work so hard and do a perfect job. I sign up for whatever services I want for each season and they come out automatically. A year ago they built two 4 x 4 garden beds for my organic vegetable garden, and planted everything for me. Turned out great. I was so proud of it. This last horrible winter they showed up every time it snowed over 2and quot; to plow and shovel. I have a very large driveway and live on a corner lot with lots of sidewalk, so it's no small job. We had so much more snow this winter than last year, so this service to me was well worth the cost and was essential to my well being during these awful months. My only suggestion for them is to work on communicating better with their customers. They are almost totally unresponsive, which can be quite frustrating if you have questions or want to request new services. Not very professional. I'm a first time home owner and have no basis for comparison of landscaping companies. I really didn't know what to expect when I first hired Benito's, but it's been a good experience overall and I plan to stick with them. And the quality of their work and professionalism of their crews is really top notch. A+.

Trimming and weeding is just okay. Not the best quality. Weeding was done in May, no problems and good quality. However, in June, scheduling was frustrating, as I had requested services by a certain time (June 8, the day of my baby shower) when I submitted the contract in April, and it took a bit of effort to get services done by that date. They did not show up on date scheduled, and I had to take initiative to contact them to get the reason why and the make-up date. Eventually they said they would come out June 7. And even when services were completed, they were not done completely (only trimmed, no weeding) nor was it that great of quality. Bushes looked unruly all month after they supposedly came, and I question the quality of trimming that was done. Weeding wasn't done at all by the date requested, so I had to cancel our June weeding altogether because my husband and I just weeded before the shower. Waiting to see if they will come in early July to weed like we had planned. Overall, it's just been okay, and I will go with another company next year. It is a shame because the people working there seem really nice, and they have been really polite and quick to respond via email. I am just displeased with the quality of work and the scheduling frustrations.

It did not go since this seems to be a bait and switch tactic.

Benito's did a great job. They moved all kinds of landscape stones in order to create a smaller planter bed. They also sodded the area so if the grass or growing. Their prices were competitive and the work was superior.

Benito's landscaping crew does a really nice job cutting my lawn. I receive a bill from him once a month by email, which make it easy for me. Besides cutting they edge, trim, and power blow of all my sideways, deck, and patio. I have had a few minor problems with the crews, but are quickly ironed out with a call or email. I would highly recommend Benito's Landscaping in a heart beat, they can do it all.

Called several times and left message and no one ever called back. Went with another contractor on Angies list.

Benito's crew was efficient, friendly, and highly skilled. My lawn has never looked better. They were also quick to respond whenever I had a question.

The work was never completed because they said they were so backed up due to weather they didn't even have time to return my calls for two weeks. When I did get a hold of them they were very apologetic but unable to do the work in the time frame I needed. The real rub came three days later when I received a follow up e mail saying that the work was never done because I didn't sign a contract and put down the 50 percent for the job. The funny part of that is that is exactly what I was calling to do but the reality is if they had my money I would have had to wait until I fit into their schedule.

They were efficient. They came, knocked it out and left. The quality of their work was good.

They came out 2 separate times, one to take the measurements, and the other to speak in more detail about the bid. They were very professional. I worked with two gentlemen, and I believe one was Benito, who is the owner of the company. We ended up going with someone else because our general contractor, was going to be able to get me a discount. I thought the pricing that Benito gave me was fair, and we reached out to them again later on, for something that we need to have done later. We need to get some pretty extensive landscaping done in the back yard, because unfortunately, the person we had to pour the concrete, had vehicles that tore up a lot of the lawn. So we had them come out and give us the quote for that work, and we may have the work completed in a month or two.

Someone came to measure for estimate on time but it has gone sharply down hill from there. After not showing up for the follow up consultation and not calling or any other notification the are simply not responding now. We have waited patiently but to no avail. We feel like we were not a big enough job and are being ignored for more lucrative work.

I was very impressed with the quickness of the communications and service. I called Thursday and had the job done Friday morning. They went above and beyond to make sure the leaves were removed before putting the mulch down. They also dug a nice edge for the mulch around two new trees in the backyard. Very well done!

Made an appointment for landscaping design but no one showed until three weeks after the appointment date unannounced and he had no idea why he came.
