I have already reccomended Benito's Landscaping to several neighbors!! I called Benito's because of the reviews on Angie's List and I was not dissappointed. I did call several other landscaping companies to get additional estimates, but some didn't call back, others were too busy to talk to me about estimates, and 1 didn't work in my area. Needless to say, I never did get another estimate, which I was a little nervous about. However, after the first hour of the men doing the spring clean-up, I knew that I'd made the right decision. They did over and beyond what I had asked. There was some small things that I thought were too small to ask a company to do because I can easily do them, but it turned out I didn't have to ask/tell them. The men did a fantastic job and I was amazed at how throurough they were. I was also stunned when the man who did the original estimate came to my house to make sure everything was moving along. The next set of men came by and fixed the exsisting black edging, added new edging to another plant area, and started to fixing the retaining wall. I checked on them several times outside just to make sure everything was going as planned. It always was. I also wanted to make sure that they fixed all the balck edging that was coming out and not just the most obvious areas. Again, like everything else, this was also done beyond what I had hoped. Everything was finished in 1 day.

This is the 3rd year and 4th job that Benito's has done for us and the work is always good. It is true that you sometimes have to wait to get scheduled, and that is a little frustrating, but they do very good work. Two workers arrived on time and went right to work and worked all day with only a lunch break. They were polite and professional and willing workers. They returned the second day to finish the area by the garage. Clean up was excellent and once again the planting beds look wonderful and the paver area by the garage gives us expanded storage for outside items. If you can be patient with the scheduling, it's worth it. Because they are good, and the weather doesn't always cooperate, the work seems to back up. But we have always been happy with Benito's workers and the results.

FANTASTIC! we couldn't be happier with how our yard looks. This was work that we never would have finished on our own. (The rock hauling was seriously hard work and they got it done). They removed river-stone rocks from the front and back then replaced dirt and re-sodded. They consulted us on how much tree to prune and its been done perfectly. They hauled everything away and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them and hire them again in a second.

I never heard back from them after the quote. They were out twice to quote and plan the work and said they would get back to me in a few days. Three weeks have past and I have not herd a word from them. I want to proceed with this project but I can't get Benitos to call me back. When ever I call the phone goes directly to voice mail. I have left several messages and e-mails but still no response. I know this is a busy time of year but they need to let me know what's going on at the minimum. I read several good reviews and was looking forward to working with a good company but now I am moving on to a company that wants to do the job. I own a small business and I can't imagine not responding to a customer that want's to work with me. I hate to knock them without having experienced their work but at this point I don't have anything positive to say.

Having identified them from Angie's List for their good reviews, I called them and they came out as scheduled. I had a large breached retaining wall from the April 2013 storms. It's a big, difficult job due to its location. They promised an estimate, which never arrived. I really liked their knowledge and proposed approach to a challenging project. I never heard back from them. I called twice and left a message with no response. Based on recent reviews, this wasn't too surprising, I guess. Based on their visit, I was expecting to go with them for this job that will exceed $20K. Since I never heard back from them, I went with a competitor.

I had 2 1/2 acres to mow that has not been mowed all season, the grass was 2-3 feet tall, I have been trying to get someone out for a while but when they would come they would call me and say the job was too big, Benito came out the day after i called him. I told him that we really needed it cut and they were able to just push us to the front of the line and he cut it the next day. He said he would be there at 8 oclock and when I got to the proberty at 8 they were already working,They were fast and hard working. They did such a nice job, looks like a golf course. I can't thank them enough.

Find another landscaper you can trust to communicate with you, return calls and emails.

I contacted Benito's Landscaping (and others) after careful research on Angie's List. I had three projects to be completed and Benito did two of them. We had a problem with the back yard and quot;floodingand quot; with water after heavy rains. This was caused by a garden bed surrounded by Windsor stone. Benito installed drainage and quot;pipesand quot; in two different areas through quite of bit of flower bedding. And the bed was sloped so care had to be taken that water would actually drain. We saw immediate results with the first storm - no more water in the yard. And after the torrential rains of this spring, we are very happy we had this work done. Impressed by the initial work, we added a clean-up of the perennial beds and the planting of some annuals. The clean-up was very efficient and well done. The planting wasn't anything special. The team showed up on a Saturday morning without any warning. It ended up working out but I like advance notice on work to be done. I want to be home when yard work is done. Benito's got the renovation job. He worked with me to get the desired effect and offered insight to shrub selection. A crab tree needed to be removed. I was really impressed with the way the removal was done. There was concern that holes dug for new plants were nearly the same size as the root balls. We have way too much clay in the soil and some amending would have been better. But since everything is back this spring (in various degrees), it must be okay especially given the drought of last summer. After the roses bloomed, I saw one was the wrong color. We also had an issue with the bullnosed edging. I called and e-mailed but got no response. I called again at the end of summer and they came out immediately and replaced the wrong color rose bush and fixed the edging problem. At the same time, we discussed a plant variety that was not thriving. They replaced the three plants with tried and true Stella d'Oro lilies. Lastly, I decided the placement of one of the hydrangeas wasn't that appealing and that was moved as well. I thought the crew was professional and interested in my projects. I would certainly recommend them to anyone living in their area (we were at the fringe of the allowed distance from the company.) However, my daughter called for a small job on the north side of her house and never got a return call.

They quoted a fair price and said they would have someone call to confirm delivery date/time. However, the day prior to the date we had discussed they still hadn't called, when we called they said they couldn't get it to us until the following day. They did arrive on time, however we had asked for a premix of soil/compost and had brought the compost separately. They were quick to return the compost load and return with the correct order. They were polite and the pricing was fair. Overall the experience was good.

I got a quote to remove a tree and some bushes, but I chose another business to do the work. Benito's Landscaping was more expensive that vendor that I chose.

I have used Benito Landscaping for about 3 years and have always been happy with their work. They get the job done, they do good work, and I like the crews that come. However, their punctuality has not been the best. I have also noted that other Angie reviewers have given them low marks on responsiveness and punctuality. This year I contacted them early in April about yard work: Spring cleanup. power raking, aeration, mulch. On April 5, Dean answered via email that the work would be done next week, weather permitting. They came on April 16 and did the spring cleanup. What about the other work? Later, they said. Torrential rains fell on April 16 so I assumed that things would be pushed back a bit, but on April 26 I sent another email asking for information. Dean again said that they will be starting the work next week. Nothing happened. On April 26 Dean sent an email saying that they will be starting those services next week sometime now that the weather has leveled off. The work did not get done next week. On May 2, I ran out of patience and sent them an email saying that If it does not get done by the end of the week, then consider the contract null and void. I did not get a reply. As I told them, I just cannot keep getting messages of and quot;next week, weather permitting…and quot; One time it is ok, but not for one month.

Due to the amount of material that needed to be cut, trimmed, and removed it took a three man crew two days to clear all that needed to be cleared, and I couldn't be happier. Instead of looking like a haunted forest, my yard looks like a yard again. I'll be using them this year for maintenance and will be speaking with them to put together a landscape plan for next year to rebuild/redesign the overall landscaping and make the house look good again.

A landscaper from Benito's arrived at my house at the scheduled time that was set up. I wanted an estimate to have topsoil delivered and grade a front garden bed close to the house. I also needed a concrete walkway poured as the old one was torn up and removed. When the man left he said I would get an estimate in several days and so far its been almost 2 weeks and haven't heard a word from the company. I will not be using Benitos for this project for this very reason.

I contacted this company because of it's rating, awards and location. I called on Monday, 4/1, for an estimate and talked to someone at the company. He told me someone would be out to my home and that I would have an estimate by the end of the week. On the following Monday I had still not heard from them. I called and left a message as well as sent an email from Angie's List reminding them of the estimate. I still have not heard a word from them and I need to make my decision and hire someone due to my work schedule and family parties scheduled at my home this spring. Very disappointing for a company rated so high.

Nothing happened, they failed to repond to me.

Benito's responded immediately to my inquiryand has promptly cleaned my driveway and sidewalk. It has done a good, thorough job. Though my experience is limited, the company strikes me as being highly responsbile.

We were pleased. They came when they said they were coming and did the job we needed done. Everyone was professional and pleasant. We have already scheduled them for a spring job.

I needed to have part of the front lawn regraded. Called Benito's and from beginning to end the experience was very good. Prompt call back, written estimate when promised, and excellent and prompt work. Highly recommend them!

Benito's has provided great service. They have been taking care of my lawn this past summer. Everyone in the company is very pleasant. They are professional and provide quality service at a great price.

They've been really good. They provide good customer service. If we've had any issues, they have always quickly got that taken care off. We found another company that is cheaper so we might me switching this summer but we haven't decided yet.

I have found Benito's service to be very conscientious as well as reliable. Mowing was done carefully, paying attention to the weather and the condition of the lawn, not just following a schedule. There is a shady patch, for instance, that can be soft for a while after a rain, and previous services have just used their regular heavy equipment on a fixed schedule, which ended up leaving ruts. Benito's kept our yard clean and neat, even disposing of a pile of branches after a storm for no extra charge. The lawn has come through a particularly dry summer better than it looked after last year. The fall cleanup (a separate $250 for our yard) has been thorough, even cleaning out behind the garage. Bushes were neatly trimmed and shrubs cut back. I did feel it necessary to mark certain bushes which I did not want cut back this year, in case Benito's crew didn't recognize them, but they mostly used good judgement on their own.

They did an amazing job! We live in a neighborhood with a lot of very large oak, and maple trees and the fall leaf cleanup is a huge job. We have always done all the work ourselves, but this year I decided to try Benito's. I will definitely use them again. I was so pleased with both cleanups. We have so many leaves, we couldn't wait for the final cleanup, so Benito's came out in early November with mowers and blowers and cleaned under all the bushes. I couldn't believe the results. It was wonderful. The final cleanup came at the end of November when all of the trees had dropped their leaves and this time it was just as amazing. They also cut back my perennials. The first clean up was $105.00 and the second cleanup was $80.00. We were extremely pleased with the service.

Cost was higher than other firms that I've used, but well worth it. I have nothing but good things to say about Benito's promptness, quality of work, and professionalism. I've had them do everything from snow removal and lawncare. I had used several other landscaping firms, but none other had done such quality work as Benito's. I will continue to use their service. Everyone I've been in touch with have been courteous and very professional. Most of my interactions have been with Dean via email, and he's been great. I had another tree service take down a couple of trees. At that time I didn't realize that Benito's also provided this service. When I had an area sodded where previously there was a tree removed, Benito's people spent a lot of time removing the tree roots that were not removed by the other firm. They did not charge me more for this. From the beginning I was told that riding mowers would not be used on my lawn. True to their word, riding mowers have not been used. The other two lawn services I used before told me the same thing, but used them anyway, leaving deep ruts in my lawn especially after heavy rains.
