He said he would send me a quote by email. I do not recall providing him my email address. He never sent a quote. He never called back to verify that I received his email message.

Up and down first year using Benito's. Initial contact was good via Angie's List. Quotes were reasonable, so we went with an a la carte menu of services. Unfortunately about 2 weeks after we signed up for a bunch of services one of us in my household got laid off. Had to reduce the services. Things seemed fine at first, but as the summer and fall came there was confusion on the Administrative side regarding the reduction in services. Benito's was great about the mistakes each time, but it was frustrating that this happened at least a couple of times. The invoicing also didn't go as smooth as expected. The confusion with the reduction of services led to invoices for services that had been cancelled. Throughout the whole summer and fall of services Benito's was very apologetic and didn't even charge me for a couple of services that they gave me that I had not asked for. I will likely give them another limited shot at work next summer, but if the administration of my account doesn't improve next year, I'll have to look elsewhere for these service. As far as the yard and lawn work was concerned, it was excellent. Can't say enough good things about the actual physical work that was done this year. The yard looked great and I didn't break the bank nor my back getting it to look good.

They did a good job but I thought it was expensive for the amount of grass that I have.

They've been great. They responded quickly if you call them or if you need some service done, timely feedback and people coming out too was pretty quickl. The service has been really good. I think the price is pretty fair. We will use them again next year.

Pascuale gave us a very prompt bid on the job. He showed us all the possible options we could have on both the patio and front porch. When we agreed to have Benito's Landscaping do the work he scheduled us for the following week. The crew he sent included Luis and Gabriel. They were extremely polite, hard working and very patient with us especially when we changed what we wanted in the front wall around the shrubs. Their motto was and quot;we can do whatever you want.and quot; As it turned out, they lived up to that in every possible way. When they demolished our old porch, there was no way to use it as a base to support the paving blocks so they completely rebuilt the front porch. As a testament to their excellent work over 7 whole days, our neighbors continually stopped and asked them for business cards so they could get estimates on their homes. We have received many compliments on their work from our friends as well as complete strangers. We thought their price for the work they did to be extremely competitive. We would not hesitate to call them back for any type of landscape or stone work. As the job progressed we kept in touch with Dean who was very responsive to our emails and without exception these folks accommodated our every wish. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

All of the conversations that I had with Benitos were very professional. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very nice. However, I had to call five times to ask if I would be getting an estimate or not. When the estimate came through, it was more than double what my current service is charging me. When I asked for a reason why, I was told it was because my home was too far and that they needed to account for that. In the future, my recommendation would be to tell that to an interested party before submitting the estimate. In addition, if you're going to do the estimate, then please do it in a timely manner.

They built it within 4 days with quality materials and quality personal. Its very nicely built and now neighbors envy us. I would definitely recommend this to friends.

They did a very complete and thorough job.

They did great work. Everything looks wonderful. They even put concrete underneath the landscaping blocks to make sure it stayed there. And they glued all the blocks together. The sod is taking well and looks great. Our only concern was in timing. They had thought they'd get out to our house on Friday. When we hadn't heard from them on Friday we made other plans. They then showed up on Saturday. They actually left a message late on Friday afternoon. When we talk to them on Saturday they glad they rescheduled for Monday and Tuesday. We would definitely use them again.

The work they did was great. I have no complaints. My issue is with further contact with them. I have several projects including a retaining wall, paver repair, mulching, and tree replacement. A supervisor/co-owner came out and spent an hour with me going through the yard to work up some estimates. I never heard from them again. I called several times. Most times, my voice-mails went un-returned. I finally gave up. If they didn't want my business I wish they would have just told me so I could have moved on sooner and not wasted time. I suppose the story here is the work they do is great. In my case, getting them to do more work was the hard part. To be clear, they did everything I paid for and did a nice job. They just blew me off after that.

I was satisfied with all services performed, especially with the snow removal. I was concerned because the driveway is a fairly steep incline to the garage. However, whenever I entered or exited the driveway it was cleared of snow and ice.

It took awhile for the provider to get back to us on a date of service. I had to contact them a few times. They did not come for the estimate on the day they said, and after talking with them, they came the next day. The provider took a bit to get back to me after that, and then said they'd come the next week. They did not come, though, until Saturday, after a full work week went by. The quality of the work was great, though, so I'd use them again.

Went great! They were very careful with my yard, house , etc.. AND they cut the wood into manageable fire wood, mulch and gave us great advice on how and when to use the mulch!

I called Benito's to get an estimate an a whole yard clean up, specifically weeding all our beds. We had a family illness in the spring and we literally did NOTHING outside and our yard was an embarrassing mess. They came out and gave a free estimate on all the services they provide. They sent their proposals in an email detailing each service individually. I was surprised at first that they gave all these estimates, but they explained that then we have all their pricing in case we're interested in any other services and they don't have to make multiple trips, which makes perfect sense. We decided to proceed with the whole yard clean up and scheduled it with them. They were scheduling about a week out, and came and did the clean up right when they said they would. In the meantime we had a couple of branches come down in a storm and they were able to take care of those too. I had a couple of questions along the way and they were very responsive to my calls and followed up on everything very promptly. I was extremely pleased with how the yard looked and we will use them for lawn treatments again in the spring.

It was my first time using them and they did a good job.

The work was done meticulously and on time.

It is now August 16 and I have not heard back from them. It sounds like they might do good work, but I don't think I would hire them because they seem too busy and would not be able to provide good customer service (and that is the main reason I'm not using my current landscapers anymore.)

Two years ago we had Benito's do a large job for us - basically tearing out everything in our backyard and re-seeding with a special deep-shade grass seed. They also relocated a gutter downspout to a different part of our yard. The dirt around the downspout barrel has settled (to be expected) and they indicated in the spring that they would come out and fill in the area, which I thought was a safety hazard with little kids running around, at no charge. I also asked for their advice about over-seeding again since we continue to have issues with the grass in our yard. Pasquale indicated that rather than (or in addition to) reseeding, what we really should do is to prune our trees, for an additional $1800 for the pruning and over-seeding. After spending so much two years ago on re-seeding and having limited success, we decided not to invest in more grass seed and instead expand our brick patio to include some of the area where we struggle with grass. It was early May when they said they would come out and fill in the hole for us, and on August 9 the job got done. They did do a good job once they finally came out to do it. They filled in the hole and also over-seeded the area around the barrel. However, it was a long wait for them to come out and do it, and I had followed up with them on numerous occasions. The work that they do is good, however their responsiveness is very poor.

I heard from them after I posted my last review and a phone call. They came out today as promised, and wow! Is this my yard? am I on the grounds of a palace? IS THIS MY HOUSE? o.O I couldn't believe it! They had a really nice young man as the crew chief, he spoke excellent English,and was neat, clean, extremely polite. He and his guys transformed my .30 suburban plot into a recognizable and beautiful showplace! And let me tell you, our property was a hot mess. It was awful. All the weeds are gone (don't miss them), the trees are trimmed, the bushes are no longer running wild and the grass actually looks like grass instead of a mini-version of the African savannah... I am absolutely delighted. On top of all that, they mulched as well and all for less than $600. My husband did a look-around after they were done and gave it his seal of approval.

The appointment went well. They showed up on time and answered all questions. I received the estimste within a week. They were in line with other estimates I received. We decided to hold off on landscaping this year.

We use Benito's every year. This year we needed them out on fairly short notice and Dean accommodated our request. The crew was hard-working, extremely professional and polite. We waited a bit too long to have this done so there was a significant amount of grass and weeds in the perennial beds that needed to be removed. The wet spring and recent warm temps caused the plantings to grow and nearly fuse together so quickly it began to resemble a jungle out there. The work involved was too much for us to keep up with ourselves, but they took care of it all and it looked wonderful even before they put down the mulch. They have a meticulous attention to detail that is very much appreciated. They applied a lot of the mulch by hand and made sure it was spread evenly and thoroughly. When they finished they cleaned up and hauled away everything. When they were done we were really amazed at the results. If you want to deal with a truly professional landscaping company you should call these guys. They are not the cheapest alternative but the value they provide is worth every dollar we spent

there was some delays in getting the work done only because of all the rain we have had, otherwise the work was very professional and well done. the price for all the work beat all the other people I called.

The beds were edged very well, providing nice definition around the beds. The mulch looked very nice and was applied evenly and with precision in hard to mulch areas. So far, the weeds have been subdued in my yard and beds. I have been battling weeds in my yard and beds for a few years; Benitos seems to have finally tamed my weeds. Overall, Benitos has provided professional work and can be counted on to do what they say they will without having to keep a watchful eye (an issue I have had with my previous fertilizer/lawn company). Dean, from Benitos, has been easy to communicate with and is prompt to return a call.

This isn't the first time we've used Benito's Landscaping. In fact, we use them regularly for our seasonal 7 step lawn treatment fertilizer services. We split our landscape work into two phases. Last year they took out old unwanted landscape along our driveway and laid down new sod. This year, they removed unwanted plants and bushes along the front of our house and installed all new landscaping. During the estimate process, we must have had dozens of conversations between myself and Dean and Benito. We were planting all new landscaping, we wanted to make sure we had the right mix of plants, trees and flowers! I can't say enough about how great it is to work with Dean, he has an incredible amount of patience and Benito, he always came out anytime I wanted to do another walk through of the front landscape area to help visualize where things would go. The whole estimating discussions started last fall and finally after the spring thaw, we got on the schedule to do the work. I couldn't be happier with the results. Benito's crew are friendly and incredibly hard working. And they always clean up after the job. I have never found leftover mulch or dirt laying around from all the digging and transplanting of plants. These guys are true professionals. Every day I come home now, I look at this amazing new Bloodgood Japanese Maple tree and a Jane Magnolia tree and beds of hydrangeas, azaleas, lilies and more. Let me explain just for a second why it wasn't straight A's across the board. This company is BUSY. That's a great thing, they are in such high demand, Dean is overwhelmed with voicemails and emails to get back to. Don't worry, he always will, but it may take some time. But they will never forget about you. But they probably could use an extra hand to handle the large volume of business inquires. And because these guys are just so nice and easy to work with, I have never even bothered to shop around and get other estimates. That speaks much more to the high quality of these guys than it does to the bad customer I am for not smartly shopping around. There may be companies with better pricing but I wouldn't want to work with anybody else. In terms of the quality of work, it's a good value, but the higher costs do require me to evaluate my needs and stagger the work out over multiple seasons. All in all, you couldn't find a better company to work with to handle your exterior landscape and lawn needs.
