Davey Tree Expert Co - West Chicago were great! First, Brad ca out, and actually LISTENED to what I wanted. He talked with me and from his questions and comments I know that he actually listened. This was important to me because 8 years ago I had work done and two trimmers were great, but one ad no idea what he was doing and I had to tell him to stop because he waws butchering my tree. So I was concerned. When they came out (Ricardo and Lisa), Brad was there and reiterated what I wanted to make sure that they understood. Ricardo and Lisa did what I needed and wanted. Ricardo took off a bit more than I had originally wanted, but I was watching and saw that he really understood what I wanted and the results were beyond what i had hoped. Thank you Brad, Lisa & Ricardo, for a great experience. I was nervous, as I'm sure you could tell, but you put my mind at ease and explained what you were doing & why, and you did a great job. I am having Brad out to look at other work in the near future.

Crew with arborist showed up promptly. After reviewing the job, they commenced to felling the partially dead 40' tree that was surrounded by other trees, taking care to not trample any of the plantings around the tree. Once that was down, they trimmed back the neighbor's large willows to a 30' high canopy to allow our other trees to thrive. The arborist was very knowledge and the crew did a great job cleaning up after the tree and limb removal. We felt the price was very fair and would recommend Davey Tree to anyone looking for tree services.

These folks do excellent work and are very competitive as well. We used Davey last year to have a diseased tree removed and a number of other trees trimmed. They did a great job both times. I am brand new to Angie's List and so had a highly rated Tree Service from Angie's quote on the same work. I was surprised when they could not answer a question as to how to care for a Cherry tree. Their lack of basic tree care knowledge frightened me. They also would have charged allot more than Davey. Davey on the other hand are Arabist's, not just chain saw specialists. We will definitely use Davey Tree Services again and highly recommend them to all.

We've had them for years and they do excellent work. They call us back when they need to fertilize one of the trees. We have these big trees on our land. They've helped us quite a bit. We've had so much work done over the years.

The service from The Davey Tree Expert was fine. It was a while ago. I actually like them so I would give them an 'A', I just thought that they were more expensive. I thought that the quality of the work was good. I recall that they did come out pretty quickly and give me the estimate and then they did come back to do the work within a few weeks. They were here when they said they would be.

They are great and I am very happy with their service. They did a great job. They stuck to their estimate and they know what needs to be done to the trees. They are true professionals and they are very responsive. They follow up. I have used them multiple times and I will continue to use them. Our neighbor uses them as well. I would put them in for the super service award because, they are good at what they do.

The service from The Davey Tree Expert went terrible. They didn't do what they promised they would do. They didn't straighten up one of the trees. They kept sending bills for services that they never performed. It took me almost 6 months to get things fixed. Their service was a complete failure, all out. It took me months to get them out to the street. This was right after a storm and they were the only ones that came out to give me an estimate and that is why I really can't compare the price. I couldn't get estimates from anybody else because after you have storm damage in your neighborhood, all of the big or I guess the reputable ones were all busy and they didn't want to take a small job like this. I thought that the crew was okay. I just didn't like the management and the billing department. The crew who did the work was satisfactory. The punctuality is a failure. The only that I got any kind of support from was a lady in the office trying to help me work things out but that took forever.

It is great to know that there are still honest companies. They looked over are concerns and trees and told us no work was necessary.

The workers that came out were prompt. They left the area as best they could. I did not meet the staff.

The service was great I had no problems with them. They came and they did the job quickly. The overseer was fine and he gave me information about my trees and offered services.

They are wonderful. Sometimes you have to wait a while for them to come, but once they are here they do a terrific job. They clean up very well and they certainly take care of all the problems. They point out things I am not aware of. I can't think of anything bad.

We've had a very positive experience with them. We've used them for several years, both for lawn care as well as for tree care. They've done a terrific job with us. They're very reliable, knowledgeable and just incredibly helpful in giving advice. They're very helpful with giving very good, knowledgeable advice on how best to take care of trees. I think they're probably relatively pricey, but I do think it's worth it.

The service worked out very well. I am going to try to get them back out here in a little while to finish something up. We did part of something and they did that way back in June. They did a very good job. Everything was cleaned up. It was done exactly the way they had explained they were going to do it. It is kind of a different system. You talk to an arborist and a crew comes up to do the work. I was surprised they showed up when they did. I was not expecting them. So, that part of it did not get communicated quite right. It was just a matter of I thought a person was going to give me a jingle when they are going to come out to do it and one day they were here doing it, but while they were here, it was fine. I thought the crew knew what they were going to do and I kind of explained it to them and it was fine.

The service turned out just fine. They took care of everything that was necessary. Mr. 0.48 is a good friend of ours and he lives in Montgomery. We know him and we went to church together. We’re very pleased with their service. My wife takes care of all their charges. As long as we’ve been here, we’ve never used anybody else. They provide top quality.

Their price was competitive and the entire project went as they described. Two of the 3 trunks of the tree were leaning in a direction that might have caused damage if done incorrectly but everything worked as planned. They were prompt, knowledgeable and professional, from the Sales Associate to the Crew. Very good clean up and concern for the premises.

They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. This is our second treatment. The first one worked well. Almost all the other ash trees in the neighborhood are gone. Ours is alive and well.

Was not home at time of service, but they did show up on day promised. Price was as quoted. I have used them for years for various tree trimming or desease projects. They are friendly and professional. They clean up the area well after trimming.
