This was Davey out of Burr Ridge. They did a good job.

I am so happy with the results of their work. The trees had never been trimmed in over 40 years so there were a lot of dead branches. The crew was so polite, professional and even respectful of my flower beds. They protected the lawn from back to front with plywood. Clean up was meticulous! The trees look beautiful and have never looked healthier.

The work was done as promised and quickly. Upon inspection, you could barely tell their crew was in the area working because their cleanup was great.

When you have big trees in your yard, they take over and need to be thinned out and trimmed back. They were great. I did not really know who to call at that time. It had been a while since I had had my trees trimmed. I just noticed that their truck was in the neighborhood. I thought if they are trimming other people's trees in the neighborhood then they must be okay. It was in the ballpark of other places. I called others and they were in the same price range. They do a good job. They come promptly for one thing. They do a good job while they are here. They clean up. That is why I referred them to my son. When you call their office to ask a question. There is either someone there to respond or they call right back.

I lost a big tree during a storm. Fortunately it fell away from the house. They came out promptly. Not only did they come out and take care but they took the tree apart. Then they came out later and took the stump. They gave me a discount because I had referred them to my son. They were great. They were prompt. They came after everything. When they came later and got the stumps, they filled in the hole. They cleaned. They were great. I am not sure of the price because I did not call anyone else. I knew they were good. This was a very large lemon tree. It filled up pretty much of the backyard. If it had gone toward our house, it would have taken out three bedrooms and a porch. I would not have anyone else. They were right on time. You can do nothing in our area until 7 in the morning. They were right here, I was rushing to get my clothes on. They were very prompt, very thorough. They are just a really good company. They were very professional. Everything is spot on with what they are doing. When my son used them, they ask if anyone referred him. He said yes my mom. They said okay, next time she uses us she will get a $100 discount.

There are two treatments for the Japanese beetle treatment. The first treatment went fine, but the second treatment went very wrong. Something went wrong when they sprayed our very old and healthy Basswood in the front yard. Immediately after they sprayed there was a shiney glaze to everything it touched (surrounding ground cover, hostas, etc. ) Then the wasps and flies came. They were everywhere. Then came the whiteflies, we never had white flies before. Now the leaves are browning and are covered in a brown fuzzy looking substance. Davey came out to look at it and blamed it all on whiteflies and aphids. When asked why it didn't happen after the first treatment, there was just vague answers of sometimes aphids and whiteflies come after spraying and cause the sticky substance that attracted the wasps and flies. A week later, without notification, Davey sent out a tech to spray the tree again. Luckily I was home and told them not to spray again. I was talking to the tech, who was very nice and helpful. He fully explained that it's a vicious cycle. The spray they use to kill Japanese beetles also kills every beneficial insect in the tree, this causes whiteflies and aphids to move in (who are resistant to the spray). This causes an infestation of white flies and aphids and they cause a sticky secretion from their feeding, which in turn attracts wasps and flies. Now our very healthy beautiful tree looks browned and sad. They never warned us ahead of time that this could and probably would happen. I'd much rather a few Japanes beetles nibbling on leaves rather than a white fly infestation that will be near impossible to get rid of. Never once during this were we warned or given any kind of apology or anything. And never once did they address that something clearly went wrong when they sprayed the second time. They took no responsibility for any of it. We paid $165.00 for each treatment ($330.00 total) and they never even offered to refund any of it for the damage done. It was very very disappointing.

The crew came in and got right to work. The tree and branches fell in a way that did not damage any surrounding plants or ground. Everything was cleaned up well and the yard left undisturbed. The shape of the trees after trimming was very attractive. The crew was professional and courteous. Communication after my acceptance of the initial job proposal could have been a little better but this was only a very minor concern. Overall I was very happy with the work and price. I would definitely use Granberg Tree Works again.

The workers were on time and they checked out the trees before working. Then they just started by taking down the 2 dead trees and then started working on the tree that needed trimming. They did everything professionally and no fences were hurt during the process.

I probably should have hired him but I hired someone else from Angie's list but I was not happy with them. It was a free estimate. The estimate process was perfectly fine. Like I said I should have went with him instead of the one I did. The estimate process was completely fine. It took them a couple of days. The worker was nice. He came out and looked at what I needed to have done. He left me his business card, and got back to me with an emailed estimate within a day. It was just fine.

Very well, showed up on time, three employees trimmed three trees, cleaned up well. Not afraid to climb up to do the work properly. Did not need to use lifts, etc.

They were knowledgeable and thorough.

The price was reasonable, I believe it was $100 a tree. The trees are still alive so I assume they've done a good job. They are very responsive and use certified & licensed arborists.

Davey pruned one tree and removed another in my back yard. These two services were great. However, they were supposed to grind the stump that they removed but did not. I called asking about the status, and the person said they would be out to complete the stump later. Here we are 1 month later, and I have not heard from them at all. For the service they provided, I would give them an A. For the service they did not provide despite me contacting them twice, they get an F. Average: C

It went well. They came out last week, but I had to send them back because it was too wet out. They said no problem and rescheduled with me. They came out this morning and the work was done quickly and efficiently. The only problem is they were supposed to stake it, but they didn't. I called them back and they apologized and said they will be back out tomorrow to stake it. Their pricing was a little high, but everyone was higher than I expected.

I have a quite a bit of experience with this company. They come out when they say they are. I would most definitely use them again.

They came out for a consultation for our trees' health and needs and then gave us a report. From that report we decided to have one tree treated and pruned and then we had another tree trimmed as well.

Great. They made an appt for the quote and kept it. I asked for rush work because one tree was in a flower bed and they cam within days. The work was expertly done, and they cleaned up everything quickly. Would highly recommend.

They did a great job. The price was fantastic. I am planning to use them again.

Naturally I was very satisfied. The job was kind of small. They came right away. I was very happy with them.

Steve Matravers came to the house and was early, professional, thorough and did not try to sell me services I did not need. I would STRONGLY recommend this expert. We will work with him again.
