Description of Work: they tuckpointed a portion of our house and redid our bluestone patio, evening out the slabs of stone and placing them back together. they placed a barrier around the patio so the stones would not move and they powerwashed the stones.

Description of Work: Mario bailed on us at the last second. Came out to review the work, sent a proposal and completed contract. Came out with his guys on the day of the work and decided he didn't want to do the project. That's his option, but had he told us his concerns from the outset, we could have lined up an alternate provider to do the work. Instead, we lost a week and a half of time. It sounds like Mario does very good work. Just be sure that your project meets his standards and try to overlook his condescending attitude. Hopefully he won't leave you high and dry like he did to us.

Response from F & M MASONRY CONSTRUCTION INC.
We originally gave a proposal for a patio earlier in 2015. We heard back from client a few months later requesting us to come back out and give him another price for finishing the work that he decided to do on his own stating that the work was dragging on and he wanted it finished. We issued another proposal to finish up his patio and install his caps on the walls he constructed himself. He accepted our proposal but made changes to only have us install caps on his walls and on Aug. 9th I told him that I would schedule his work to be done on Saturday, August 15th. I also informed him that I had another small project to complete first thing in the morning and that I would be out to his home around 11 am. When I arrived, I found that I could not in good conscience install the caps on his walls. They were not constructed properly. The stones were glued and the material used was not allowing the stones to set. The walls were constructed with sharp edges which will cause injury to his children and guests. I explained this to him and told him that I could not install the caps under these conditions. I was not willing to accept liability for someone getting hurt. This is why the caps were not set on his walls.
