Cabinets got installed, cuts were messy and not well measured. Either him or his helper cut one of the cabinets on my brand new bamboo floors and cut into the floor. I was not home during installation, and after leaving a voicemail stating the damage I discovered, I never heard from them again. I would not use them for anything again. Ever.

SILVER HAMMER IS THE BEST CONTRACTOR I HAVE USED! We asked several contractors to come over and do the estimate for a rang hood installation job..some of contractors did NOT even show up…Of course the estimate price could be high and low, some contractor asked $100 /hr per person for a simple range hood installation job…Are you kidding me!?? Estimate Process: When Robert (Silver Hammer) came, he already reviewed the installation instruction of my range hood and understand job detail and potential risk. He is also professional and immediately provide several good suggestions to us based on his experience. Follow Up after estimate: He also did a good follow up job, he sent email to me right after the estimation and list all work items (very detail) and the prices of each work. I then can negotiate the price or discussion the work with him based on the information he provided. Sign the Contract: Robert was well prepared while signing the contract. At first, he went over the plan with me again and make sure we are at the same page then he put the work into the proposal. The proposal lists all detail info about this job: start time, work process, required parts, warranty, total..etc. He also gave me a copy of his Contractor registration certificate, Certificate of liability insurance, Business license and BBB Certification. Entire process let me feel that this team is “professional”. Result: I was at home most of time during their work, Robert and Joe are detail oriented, even in a small task. The result is wonderful. Company communicated well over the phone and showed up on time. Worker demonstrated excellent safety practices with ladder and work tasks. He made an excellent repair - completely invisible after the paint dried. I was very pleased with the price and the woodpecker has not returned!

Job was completed in two days. Robert was responsive and punctual. Work area was sealed to contain dust and cleaned upon completion. Completely satisfied with results.

The owner showed up on time to look at work that was needed to be done and give an estimate. I had a tight window to have all the work completed and it was done so. He and his crew were punctual, very efficient, and extremely professional. They explained work that was being completed and when there was a change it was discussed in detail before they proceeded so there were no surprises. In addition, his estimate closely matched the final cost, and they cleaned up inside and out. I will definitely use them again when I have further need and have recommended them to friends. I was very pleased with my experience with this company.

Went well. It took longer than I expected but it's all about prep which was done very well Clean up was done well. Replaced toilet seat because of an accident but was done well

Initially when they were installed things appeared to be okay, however, over time I recognized that Robert's company used interior plywood for an exterior porch which was open to the weather and has consequently started buckling-discoloring along with no longer fitting the door frame as a result. I contacted Robert directly to resolve this problem and he initially replied saying he would come by to review but he has not responded for weeks after my initial email to when he was coming by to review and after two attempts from me to contact it appears he is not going to respond further. I had used Robert for a number of items over the past 3 years so given his reputation on Angie's List this outcome was surprising and disappointing leaving me to have to find another firm to reinstall my storm doors again after paying Robert's firm to perform the same service.

During the quote process, there was an option to keep the existing sub floor or replace it. When the contractor arrived, he saw signs of water damage and recommended to replace it. I felt like he was treating our home like a family members. His work was excellent. It took longer than expected, but he stayed until it was completed correctly and fully.

All went very well! He called me ahead of time about his arrival and arrived promptly on time! First of all, we went over all the repairs that I wanted, showing him where and what I wanted. Robert not only repaired all of these, but explained exactly how things worked, showed me how he repaired it and gave me hints for future reference. He explained to me the workings of a vent that I asked about because the smoke alarms would go off at the slightest bit of smoke in the kitchen and why it was not feasible to do it. He then looked at my smoke alarm and found it to be very old and suggested I buy a new one - and that might help my "overly sensitive" smoke alarm situation. When I told him it would also set off my upstairs alarm, he said that these smoke alarms were programmed to both go off when one is triggered, so that I would hear it from all over the house. (I did not know that). He was very experienced, knew just what to do and had the tools with him for everything! I received the Angie's List discounted price for 2 hours of work and gladly paid the extra half hour for him to complete everything. He worked fast and diligently!

Work very well done, new screens are great, and where we had to "patch" a few areas, the paint blends in seamlessly.

He came to my house and we discussed the project. He said he would provide an estimate in a couple of weeks. But he Did not provide estimate after calling him several times. He did not ever return my 5 or 6 calls.

Great. It seemed to work well but not really a good test this year due to mild winter.

It was Great! I wish I had known about Silver Hammer many years ago because I had such a pleasant and the best experience with Robert and his team compared to other Handymen or construction services I’ve used in the past. Much of the work that Silver Hammer repaired were messes left from prior services, and the results were incredible and at fair pricing, meeting the estimates.

They were very professional and the job was very well done. Came on time and left the place very clean. Also informed us about all the options possible and which one would work best in our case.

Robert was timely, professional, knowledgeable and took no shortcuts. The fan and heater replacing at my parents place had already come loose from the vent and had degraded some of the drywall he went out and not only got the right fan, but also replaced the degraded drywall and didn't leave until it was prepped for painting. Really nice job! Took care of the recessed light in the basement and the Furnace Cleaning left the place looking spic and span. I definitely have plans to use him again since my 'honey do' list contains more items than either my available time or skills can handle.

It went great for us. I think Rob found a little more than he expected. Apparently the venting was totally clogged by bird's nests and there was a gap between the inside vent an the exterior cap that was spanned by duct tape when it was installed. The duct tape dried cracked and the condensation started to leak. It's fixed now for a very reasonable price. And while he was here, he took care some other fix up items we needed. And he isn coming back to do some other work. Great experience.

We bounced a few messages over the Angie's list mail feature but they stopped responding to my requests to set up a meeting or get an estimate. I tried again a few months later but again after a few responses they just stopped replying to my request for an appointment or estimate.

The bedroom was covered with old pine board paneling which needed to be removed and replaced with new drywall. A closet and some new electrical outlets were added as well. I was especially impressed with Robert's attention to detail, ensuring that that the finished product met with both his and my expectations. He takes pride in his work.

Rob was great and easy to work with. He managed to work with the chaos of an almost 4 year old asking questions and playing. He made sure we discussed the best approach to get a good result. He has experience and I have now found a handyman I can call for my future projects. Thank you!
