It turned out the lock is self was defective and/or cheaply made. Not his fault. I'm the one that bought the cheap Kwikset lock. I told him to leave it out and I would buy a replacement and slip it in the hole he drilled earlier. No charge. Very professional the way they backed up their service.

OK except he struggled to drill the hole to install a new deadbolt, and at the end it was a little crooked.

Everything went great. They were very easy to work with. Can't think of anything to improve on. They went right to work but did ask how I wanted things done (ie clear caulk or white caulk), let me know when they were done with each item on the list so I could check to see if it was what I expected, fully explained things when asked. I now know how a garbage disposal actually works. They not only did the jobs on the list but did them to my satisfaction and made sure I was happy with their work. Will definitely use them again.

Robert is a thorough professional and we had a great experience working with him and his team. We had to get our entire 5 bedroom 4000sq ft single family home completely renovated, because our tenant destroyed the house. We had to get the entire wooden floors sanded and polished, carpets stripped and Kiltz treated and walls/ceilings painted. Robert completed all the work within 2 weeks and most importantly he did everything while me and my family were staying out of state in Philadelphia. After meeting Robert and speaking to him, I handed him the house keys, and we laid full trust in him. We instinctively knew that he is a thorough gentleman and a great professional and would get the complex job done on time. Robert kept sending me pictures of work completed each day and he started and finished his work with utmost precision and on time. His team subsequently remodeled our master bathroom and also helped with kitchen remodeling. You will not be disappointed with Robert and his team’s professionalism, workmanship and punctuality. His quote estimates and final pricing are fair and accurate. I thoroughly recommend him and his company for any handyman and house repair service. I will rate Robert A+++, since we got our house back fully restored, after being gutted by a nasty tenant. Loved working with Robert, Roger, Mike and Mark. Excellent team.

So pleased from start to finish.. Robert was quick to respond , great accommodating my schedule, and stopped to supervise. Roger who did all my work, was extremely quick, professional , never struggled with any repair, and very pleasant . I will definitely use them again.. A+ for sure.

The wood structures around the second floor windows were rotting out, and with winter approaching Robert was able to get them all repaired quickly and professionally. I was overseeing the work from out of town so it was great to get frequent updates on the project's progress. Robert an the whole crew were very friendly, they even made a birdhouse from scrap wood for my 3 year old daughter. I would highly recommend contacting Silver Hammer, in fact we plan on having them work on some additional projects for us this winter.

A Silver Hammer Construction did excellent work for us. Robert was quick to respond to my estimate request. Our project was set and they came as agreed on time. He was also responsive to questions via text messages. His prices are very reasonable. All the work was completed as we planned. Roger, our pro assigned to our project was knowledge and professional and we enjoyed having him in our home. He was careful to protect our home while working, and cleaned up very well afterwards. Being handicapped, I can no longer do things on ladders or down on floors. Simple repairs are beyond me, so getting all these little things done made me so happy.

Robert from Silver Hammer rebuilt our pergola. He was very thorough in inspecting the project, explaining what needs to be changed/repaired and what does not. He followed up daily on the progress. He followed up diligently, stayed on budget and delivered an excellent pergola for us to enjoy. I would definitely hire him again.

Robert came and looked at the project I needed done and said he would e-mail me a quote in a couple days and that's the last I heard from him. If he didn't want the job he should have just said so. Very unprofessional.

Silver Hammer did a fantastic job. They were very professional and did everything as we had discussed. They were on-time and went above and beyond to do everything we had discussed and more. I highly recommend them.

It was a last minute call to see when he could take care of the work I needed done before new windows were installed. He was able to come the same day and took care of everything which included taking down a honeycomb blind from a 2-story foyer and patch the nail holes. He had left over patching compound and patched a few nail holes by other windows.

It was one bad experience and was the first time for me from Angie's list contractor. Communication from was a nightmare from the get-go. Called Silver Hammer multiple times and finally got hold of Robert. I explained the work, then he sent his associate Rogers to the place of the project for an evaluation. Based on Roger's pictures that he took from the project place and perhaps also based on Roger's opinion (Roger -- he is a nice guy ) Robert texted a quote. After a couple of conversations/questions/concerns, I agreed with the quote and Robert texted me saying one of his guys can start work following week and will send the contract to my email. I provided the e-mail, sent a text to confirm it. No response at all. His answering machine is almost always full, so unable to leave a message. Hardly pick-up the phone or return back. Sent three more texts asking for his contract to be sent, NO response. If a contractor cannot perform what was discussed and verbally agreed for whatever reason, at least should have the decency and the professionalism to inform the customer, so I would look for somebody else. For me, it was the time, the greatest asset that was lost by waiting and expecting a response from Silver Hammer. Overall, terrible experience that I or any other homeowner would not want to deal with.

In short, everything went really well. Robert listened to our ideas and offered suggestions where a better option existed. The work was done promptly and professionally. In short, we would not hesitate to use Silver Hammer in the future and would be more than happy to recommend them to others.

Silver Hammer Home Services/Robert - This guy is terrible. Says he's been in business for twenty years but doesn't perform or bring the quality you expect from someone in business for twenty years. When contractor want more money he start to threaten us with a lien on our property.

Amazing job I am very satisfied. Rob was very nice and professional, he even came back 3 days later to fix something in the bathroom and made sure its fixed. They cleaned after they were done and checked everything.

Robert did a great job rearing the drywall in our basement.

Even though it was late on a Friday, he spent time not only doing the work but also explaining to us a few risks we have with the way some patchwork was done in our home.
