Description of Work: I had an obstinate problem with condensation and my smoke alarms, plus a very odd repair to a drawer guide in my kitchen (about 40 yrs old) and a few other things. I felt VERY comfortable with Robert, the owner, and the man he had performing my job, Scott. They were prompt, kept me informed, stayed on budget, and CORRECTED MY PROBLEMS, that I'd asked many others to address historically.

Description of Work: Purchased and replaced garbage disposal. This is the 2nd time I have used him. Very reliable.

Description of Work: Said he would meet me on a certain date and time, never showed up. Lazy and unprofessional.

Description of Work: They did a great job at a fair price. They picked up the supplies and provided their expertise on what I should do/accomplish.

Description of Work: We had a bedroom that was in really bad shape. the walls and ceiling had big holes and stains all over. | |The first guy that was send out, did a terrible job and was VERY unprofessional in a crude way. I will say that the owner handled that situation very well. He apologized, fired that person and sent out a new guy. He was very responsive and professional about the way he handled and resolved that situation so major Kudos for that. | |At the time they finished we thought they did a pretty good job. The patch on the ceiling was very rough and we were told that was the best that could be done. | |The day after Silver Hammer finished the bedroom, our kitchen remodel started and they damaged the walls in the bedroom that was just finished. They however of course made it right when they had their painters on site. Those painters took it on themselves to 'fix' the ceiling. When asked about it, their comment was that they weren't going to say anything because they thought we patched it ourselves. | |In addition we had him install a new bedroom door that was stained to match the other doors. It ended up feeling really rough. After talking to a friend that builds furniture, if you are staining wood and want a smooth surface spay it lightly with water to 'raise' the grain, then sand it smooth again before staining. That will leave you with the professional and smooth finish. So either they were not aware of that or didn't take the time to do it right. | |So overall, they were ok, fast to respond and decent prices. However, We need more attention to detail on the projects we want done so we won't be going with Silver Hammer again.

Description of Work: I hired Silver Hammer to do several home renovations to a new home that I built, specially, to install cabinets in a laundry room and my garage as well as to customize my closet. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of work they did and the suggestions they offered. They showed up on time on the days they were scheduled to work and made modifications to the original layouts whenever necessary. Roman, who worked on my closet and laundry room, did an excellent job, came up with solutions to several issues in my closet, and cleaned up the work site completely before leaving. Robert, the owner, was extremely accommodating in my requests. I would definitely recommend Silver Hammer to others. Thanks for doing such a great job!

Description of Work: Acquired about a quote to do two small jobs. Said they could do and asked what day was best. Gave them 2 days and never heard back

Description of Work: After completion it was explained to me what would have been done in a first class job as opposed to mine. I paid. I learned from my mistakenly 1st class result. I learned.

Description of Work: Rick has been great- we started as a re-tile a laundry room floor- and then had additional work done. His suggestions have been great-- and we had a lever doorknob that was put on upside down (you had to lift the lever Up to open the door)- I mentioned that it drove me crazy- so before he left one day he took about 10 minutes to tinker with it- and came back to tell me that he had reversed it and that it was fixed. Garage door started acting up one day- I asked him to look at it while he was there and he was able to get it to close, then when he returned the next day he bought the new sensors with him so he could fix it while he was there. My husband keeps adding to the list- and Rick has been able to everything on the list!

Description of Work: Very pleased with Rick's work and overall professionalism. Already have tasks lined up for near-future work and recommended him strongly to family and friends. What a relief it is to finally find someone who I can rely upon for a variety of home repairs and improvements.

Description of Work: I am very pleased with the services provided. I had several light fixtures installed, grout repairs and drywall repairs. They went over and above to fix everything, including unexpected issues with missing parts for a light and the outlets not lining up to the new light fixtures. I would definitely use them again.
