Robert is a consumate professional. He provided several options for each repair I listed and completed the work to great affect. He is very discerning about the quality of work from his crew and demands and delivers very high standards. Robert will be the first person I call when more household fixes are needed!

If he doesn't get money, he gets angry. He is expensive. If he does not make the kind of money he wants and you try to negotiate, he tries to get angry and leaves us. He is not very cooperative then. He gave me some quotes and I told him I'd like to make some relationship with them. I told him what to do and I told him that I would get some other quotes but he got angry at me and said that I was a cheap guy looking for cheap stuff. I am not cheap. I live in an apartment building, it was not our house. Sure he does a quality work, I understand that but he was not a happy man. He looks for more money.

Robert came out to review the work we wanted done in one of our bathrooms, offered some suggestions that were very helpful, and provided a written estimate (email) within a couple of days. We found the estimate to be reasonable compared to others we had received, and liked his suggestions. On the day of the work, it was all performed to our satisfaction, and they cleaned up afterwards.Some of the drywall work was tricky, but the finished product looks very good. They mounted a folding teak wood bench in our new shower (had to drill through the new tile), and we are very happy with that, along with the baseboard trim added outside the shower. Would definitely use Silver Hammer in the future.

Robert and his crew did an excellent and efficient job. The old material was removed in one day, and the area was cleaned. All the old material was carted away. The next day, the crew came back and started to replace all of the trim, fascia, and soffit. The third day they finished replacing the gutters and downspouts. The workmanship was excellent with great attention to detail. For example, one of the men made sure that a downspout was repositioned so that water would be diverted away from the foundation, unlike its original position. The workers were very polite and responsive to questions. We felt that the cost of materials and labor was quite fair. The materials included over-sized gutters and downspouts. It was a pleasure to work with Robert and his crew.

From the beginning, Robert was very easy to work with. He answered my initial call and we discussed the various projects. Robert took time to educate me a little about electrical and plumbing. He explained reasons for the problems that I was having, and I greatly appreciated not only the time, but the education. He provided an extremely fair and reasonable estimate over the phone, and the actual cost coincided with his initial estimate. Robert was on time for our appointment. We went through the list and he completed everything in a timely manner. Projects, large or small can be completed in many different ways. Robert offered great advise and creative suggestions, and he let me know about my options. As a result, I was extremely happy and satisfied with the work that he did. Robert's manner and his style brought trust, and his work exceeded my expectations. I plan to invite Robert back for additional jobs. I would highly recommend him for any project.

Everything went great! The ceiling is very uneven and is textured so it was a difficult job. I was concerned as they were in the project i would get the usual "This is a more difficult job than I imagined" and then to be charged more money. This was not the case. The ceiling was repaired to perfection, the textured job matched the rest and they stuck to their price! There was a small area I wanted touched up after they left and I thought I'd get attitude on the return visit and an up charge again. Robert had no issues on returning and fixing the job to my perfection. It was a great price for a 2 day job!

Robert was quick to call back and came out for an estimate on a replacing a shed we currently have with a larger one. He was knowledgeable and from our discussion it seemed like he knew what we wanted and would be a good fit for the job. He said he would email a quote to us the following week but we have yet to hear from him. He was very personable and made a good first impression in that respect but lost it when he never even followed up. Very disappointed to say the least. We were looking forward to the possibility of working with him but if he's this responsive with just the quote, I'm not interested in going into a project with him. It's a shame.

Everything went great! We did have minor setbacks along the way, but Robert was very receptive and came up with solutions. I did get a little carried away with adding more & more projects to the list and should have consulted more with him, so that we would have been on the same page with certain items. All in all, I'm very satisfied with Robert's work and would definitely recommend Silverhammer! Here is a small list of some of the things I had them do: 1-Paint (interior): walls, trim ceiling, doors 2-New basement: flooring, drywall, paint, and sealed small crack in the foundation of the property 3-New basement bathroom: paint, tiled shower and floor, install new vanity 4-Laundry room relocation: paint, drywall, new doors 5-Kitchen: floor tile, removal of wallpaper/soffit, new backsplash, addition of 6 recessed lights, new counter top, install new faucet/sink, cabinet hardware, cleaned old cabinets, and installed new sliding doors that leads to the back deck 6-Back deck: Stained 7-Master bath: removed old wallpaper, painted, cleaned up tile, put in new vanity/mirrors 8-Bedrooms: installed new carpet, painted, repaired closets 9-Miscellaneous: put in new oak railing, removed dated wainscot, cleaned window trim in all rooms, installed and relocated ceiling fans, installed new light fixtures, repaired garage siding, repaired outside wooden gates, repaired front door

I called Robert when I had a sub-floor problem in my rental house back in February 2014 and he was able to take care of that problem right away. While my rental was vacant I called him to take care of a long list of items that needed to be addressed. The highest priority was fixing the leak in the kitchen sink which entailed replacing the water supply and shut-off. He replied to my email very quickly, and met me at the house the next day to do a walk through of the work I wanted done. He fix me into his schedule just a couple days later and I met Roman at the house so he could get to work. I was also busy working on other tasks while Roman went to work on the kitchen sink. Robert showed up a couple of hours later to work on the laundry and sump pumps; which included cleaning out the pits with his shop vac. They were both hard at work when I left for previously scheduled appointments. When I returned late in the afternoon, the kitchen work was completed, as well as the bathroom and front porch by Roman and Robert had finished the sump pump work and cleaned out the gutters (the need to be cleaned was evident after we were hit with a deluge that had the water running right off the roof onto the ground. Roman was working on completing the basement door project (which he finished before he left). To sum up, I got about a half dozen items taken care of in one day by a couple of professionals, that would have taken me weeks to do. Highly recommend!

Robert did an excellent job. Very professional and clean. he and Roman knew what they were doing unlike some other contractors who came in to give estimates. his price was very reasonable and Robert is also a very nice and pleasant person to work with. Will definitely recommed.

Robert is easy-going, professional, punctual, and tidy. He performed our work at a reasonable price and it looks great. He is very busy and can sometimes be hard to reach.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Robert again. And again. From first contact to the final invoice, Robert and Roman did a fantastic and professional job. With my work schedule it was sometimes a bit difficult to coordinate times for working, but Robert was both understanding and accommodating. My wife is already putting together project list #2, and we will call Robert to complete those services as well. Bottom line: Silver Hammer is highly recommended.

Robert's team worked fast and did a great job in pulling and replacing the basement insulation. This also included working with a cramped crawl space and inspecting/clauking/plugging any pipe openings/gaps to outside of house. The work was, fast, through and overall a very good job.

Highly recommended! Gear communication and creativity. Very flexible to what I needed. Fair price. Would definitely use again.

We knew from the initial inspection meeting that Robert from Silver Hammer was a quality person. He was thorough, informative, creative and listened to our comments and concerns. The finished project turned out terrific! Robert had his plan in place and he had all of the necessary materials with him when he arrived to do the job. He was efficient, precise and the clean-up was immaculate. We will be using his services for future work and would highly recommend him for any project.

Bob was great. the first date we had didn't happen because of rain. He arrived on the second agreed on date and with his helper installed the window in about 2 1/2 hours. He had explained that he would try and get the new window to look as close to the 18 year old window.as possible. He was neat, clean and efficient. The window looks great and there wasn't any mess left behind. Would deffinately use again !!

After exchanging messages back and forth a few times we finally spoke to set up the date for him to come out and give an estimate. Robert never showed up, nor called. Given the lag time in responsiveness to earlier messages, I feel his business is lacking in the support staff he needs. I am looking elsewhere to get my work done.

Robert and his team did a fantastic job remodeling our basement. Our basement was cut into three small rooms, so after a small flood, Robert and his team helped open the space up to create one big room. They removed walls, replaced the drywall, moved all of the electricity and installed some new lighting. I even asked for a new sump pump recommendation and had them install it while on site. Our basement offered them some challenges - lights couldn't go exactly where we wanted and some of the ceiling had to be lower than we had hoped - for structural reasons. But Robert and his team walked us thru each issue and offered up solutions (usually with more than one option). The overall cost for the job was very competitive, especially to other highly recommended contracts on Angie's List. We've already started talking about other work for Robert and his team to do around our house. Also - if possible, ask for Roman to work on your job. He was professional, but friendly, tiddy and did a tremendous job.

Gave estimate very quickly. He was reasonable, but he did have an attitude problem. We had pieces of board that were damaged and I asked and he said there was no need because he was covering it. He asked if I was questioning his business. He won't return my calls.

eRobert was very professional and his quotes were reasonable. As a matter of fact we asked him if he could locate a leak in our house that has been driving us nuts for years. In fact, three Handymen had looked for the leak and one told us hev had fixed it. He didn't, but Robert gave us a way to ultimately get rid of the leak. This was not a small leakl as it damaged our basement windows and the window coverings and the dry wall. We thank him greatly for this. We ran into a MAJOR expense in one of cars last week and have to defer our in house needs for a few months. WE will absolutely call Robert when we're ready to get started again.

Arrived as promised, provided quote and started working right away. Completed job on time and as quoted Very professional, takes the time to explain the what and why Did a great clean-up. Would definitely use again.

The original material was replaced with a much higher quality item and the workmanship was great. The result is a fantastic looking bay window with outside panels and window guards that should protect the house for many years to come.

Robert & Team brought basement back to code after inital person did not pull permit or work to code. Robert worked with the village and us to complete work. Well done and thanks

Robert completed this project efficiently and professionally. It was a difficult job to rehang the mirror, but it is very secure now. The bedroom closet doors work very well with the new hardware. He also rehung the spare bedroom closet door, which had fallen off the track. He did this at no charge. We would definitely hire Robert again.
