Description of Work: Recently purchased home and as fall approached found that bay extension off of kitchen had completely rotted out. Robert quickly came to review the work needed, gave me best estimate and was honest about potential additional costs due to pavers and cement stoop preventing us from fully assessing the damage to band joist and underside of bay extension. Work was done quickly and house was weather tight by weekend. He also suggested saving some money on replacing some additional cedar siding as plan was for a deck in the spring and same boards would need to come down for ledger board.

Description of Work: We had Silver Hammer repair a broken floorboard and stair tread, and plane a door for us. All services were performed to our complete satisfaction, and we would definitely use them again and refer them to our friends.

Description of Work: Silver Hammer's home services painted my living room and dining room ceilings, put in new closet doors and put in beautiful, beautiful crown molding. It all went great and I will use them again.

Description of Work: We had to reschedule since the person that was originally being sent to install the new toilet wasn't a licensed plumber, which is an absolute with me. The work is scheduled to be completed today, but we haven't yet had it done, so I put a C because I had to put something or the form couldn't be sent. |We previously experienced an issue that cost several thousand dollars to fix due to a handyman, from Angie's list by the way, who was not a licensed plumber. There was a slow leak that damaged the living room beneath the toilet that was "fixed" by the handyman. It damaged the ceiling, wooden floor, and furniture. It's a mistake I'll not make again.

Description of Work: Silver Hammer Home Services repaired a rather complex corner siding and rain gutter problem. It went very well & the repairs were excellent and with long term durability. Work was prfomred with high craftsmanship and in a creative manner. Productivity and professionalism were a fundamental part of their approach and resulted in a repair cost below original estimates; even with some necessary add ons. Two outcomes: (1) a serious problem for us was solved (2) we found a new and valued relationship with this contractor: Silver Hammer Home Services.

Description of Work: I attempted to use Silver Hammer Constructions several times due to some minor projects they were unable to complete during their 1st visit. When we were ready to proceed with completing the projects, I emailed Silver Hammer twice and never received a response. I tried calling several times and I finally got Robert on the phone and I explained to him that we were ready to proceed with the final projects, he agreed and said he would call me back on Monday to schedule a time, I never heard back from them. | |Initially, the service was fine. I'm not sure if he didn't want to complete the projects because the installation of a ceiling fan included him having to rent a tall ladder. Nonetheless, it's not very professional to agree to do a project and then never return any of the customer's calls.

Description of Work: Our mailbox was vandalized - the post was cracked at the ground and it was embedded in brick pavers. We needed someone to jackhammer and remove the old concrete foundation and install a new post with concrete. Silver Hammer Construction was not only responsive on every call I made but they installed it and removed the old one for an extremely low prices. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Description of Work: Robert provided mainly electrical work, including installing and fixing outlets, as well as tearing down a post lantern in our front yard and replacing it. He also did some minor repairs, such as caulking the bathtub and fixing a loose drapery rod. I have used his services before and find him to be quite reliable.
