Dave is terrific!

I called Dave at Lakeland appliance. I received his voicemail, but was immediately contacted later in the day. He was able to come out the next day, which I greatly appreciated. He told me how to prepare for what he was going to do so it would take the least amount of time and there would be little chance of damage to my new hard wood floors. He installed and tested my oven in less than 30 minutes but then made sure it was adjusted perfectly. Dave is a consummate professional that thinks holistically not just about what he is being asked to do but how it integrates into the other parts of your house.

Dave has consistently proven his capabilities to identify the problem, give solid information regarding repair or replace choices, and to stand by his work if necessary to adjust in any way. He charges fairly and meets his appointment times so that we are not hanging out under four or more hour "windows."

This is just the most recent example of what is now about seven years of using Lakeland Appliance Services - Dave Monfradini. He is very knowledgeable across most brands and types of appliances - haven't found one that stumps him yet. His approach is always to fix what is needed and never to simply opt for replacement in order to make the job easier - and more expensive. Punctual, courteous, and cleans up as he proceeds. Altogether an excellent technician and a reliable, customer oriented services provider.

A friend recommended him Thursday afternoon. We made phone contact Thursday night and set up a Friday morning appointment. He called to say he would be a few minutes late. A nice young apprentice came with him. My dryer is now repaired less than 24 hours later! It turned out that it was the door switch, and it was probably my fault that it broke because I slammed it. But I don't have to buy a new dryer, and I learned my lesson about taking out my frustrations on helpless appliances.

He was timely, took off shoes upon entering, and quickly diagnosed problem. He offered to vacuum inside the dryer while here. The dryer required a part replaced and was then working fine. I have used Dave (of Lakeland) numerous times in the past. Not the cheapest, but excellent in repair, trustworthy and will tell you if the repairs are worth it (compared to buying new). I've tried cheaper repair services, but wound up spending more in the long run.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of this repair. I first received a call where they inquired about the exact problem & asked me to give them the model number of my dishwasher. The part was ordered & I received a call about a week later to schedule installation. After installing the dishwasher part, he checked out my washing machine's spin cycle. He determined that there was a timing/transmission problem but advised against the repair which would be costly. My machine was about 8 years old & he said it could be replaced for a little more than the repair would cost. He said that the machine could well last indefinitely operating the way it was & suggested I wait until it needed replacing. Very knowledgeable, explained everything. Tried to get as much information on the phone which saved time when he arrived for the repair!
