Lakeland Appliance Service

Our experience with Lakeland Appliance was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. After my wife paid for a dishwasher repair and waited patiently for weeks, we were surprised to learn that the technician had left town on the day of the scheduled installation without informing us. Despite my efforts to reach out to them multiple times, I received no response whatsoever. It's incredibly unprofessional to ignore customer inquiries and block them when they are simply seeking updates on the service they paid for. What's even more frustrating is that we never received the repair or a refund. This lack of accountability and customer service is unacceptable. Months have gone by, and we are still left with a broken dishwasher and no resolution in sight. I strongly advise against using Lakeland Appliance for any appliance repairs. Their lack of communication and failure to fulfill their services leave much to be desired.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Lakeland Appliance. After paying for a dishwasher repair and waiting for weeks for the part to arrive, the technician finally scheduled a day to come install the part. The morning of the scheduled installation, I reached out to find out his time of arrival only to find out that he had left town without notifying me. Despite my cordial attempts to reach out multiple times after that, I was ignored and eventually blocked. My husband also reached out without any success. Not only did we not get the repair we paid for, but we also never received a refund despite our efforts to contact them. This lack of professionalism and disregard for customer communication is unacceptable. Months have passed, and we are still without the repaired dishwasher or our money back. Avoid Lakeland Appliance at all costs if you value your time, money, and sanity.

He came out quick to diagnose what the problem was. Had to order the part and came back did the job after a week. It was quick and good.

I requested an appointment with Lakeland about a broken shelf in our refrigerator door. Omar arrived 5 minutes early for our appointment. (How many repair technicians arrive early?!?). He has a considerable level of expertise, and is patient and thorough. Omar was also honest about the turnaround time for getting the new shelf. Since the broken shelf looked like s**t, I had wanted it to arrive and to get installed before my visiting family got in town (9 days from today). When I asked Omar if that was possible, he gave an honest and straightforward answer-that Samsung’s turnaround time for appliance parts is typically 1+ 1/2 weeks. In the meantime, he suggested removing the broken shelf and moving the intact bottom shelf up. It looked so much better. Lastly, Lakeland has very reasonable prices! Highly recommend

Omar is the best! Professional, courteous. He responds quickly and is a joy to hire. Don't call anyone else.

Omar was punctual and professional. He had the dryer apart in 5-10 minutes and diagnosed the problem within a few minutes after that. He had the new igniter with him since he had asked lots of questions when we scheduled the appointment. The dryer was repaired and put back together in less than a hour. We would definitely call him again!!

Dave has now sold the business to his partner, Omar, who also does a great job! Our microwave was 6 years old but suddenly started doing crazy things. Omar came out within 2 days and got it working again in a half hour for under $200.

I contacted Lakeland based on Angie's List reviews. Very responsive. Was able to correctly diagnose over the phone. Made and kept appointment on time when scheduled. Greeted us, removed shoes, provided all equipment, etc. Corrected problem, and also provided preventative maintenance. Work was completed within 35 minutes. Both Dave, the current owner, who is retiring next month, and Omar, the new owner, were both here. Both are very courteous, and, importantly to me, explain what they find, what they are doing, and prove it is fixed. They even break the bill down into parts and labor. I will definitely recommend, and use again if needed for similar work.

Dave works quickly and efficiently---hardly any wasted movements. He had the parts that he needed and the job was done under an hour.

We have been relying on Dave's expertise since at least 2005. He has serviced not only our dishwasher but our refrigerator, gas range, washer, and dryer. This particular service call is representative of all his calls. He is a professional and is responsive and client-oriented. When you need his help, you leave a message on his machine. He returns calls promptly and works to understand the situation before he hangs up, seeking clues to what might be wrong to better prepare, and to set your expectations. He arrives on schedule and works efficiently and effectively. He seeks to educate you, not just fix the problem. He is a wealth of knowledge and experience. I highly recommend him.

Dave called me back and asked a few questions about the unit and what was wrong over the phone. He said there was likely some object caught inside the food grinder (which turned out to be the case.) Set up a time the following day. He was prompt and professional. Told me what he was doing and explained everything. There turned out to be several objects that had slipped through the filter into the food grinder area of the machine. He removed those, cleaned everything, and replaced a worn part he found. This cleared up the noise problem. Two of the objects were pieces of the clips that hold the top dishwasher shelves up and allow them to be placed flat if needed. He looked up the part numbers of these so I could order them; even gave me some prices and websites. I also asked him a question about my refrigerator, which I'd been told needed yearly service calls for cleaning. He took the back off, and cleaned that for me, and explained it did not to be done that frequently, more like every 3 to 4 years. The price he charged reflects the work on both appliances, and he did give me a reduction. I thought the price was quite fair for the time he spent. Later that day, he called me back. I'd mentioned my silverware basket for the dishwasher had a hole in one section, and wanted to get a new one. He was going to get me a part number for that, but forgot to do it before he left (and I forgot too.) He was nice enough to call me, check on the part number, and call back with that. I was impressed that he remembered and took the time to call again. I will definitely call him again for any appliance issues!!

They were great! They recommended what needed to be done and recommended a company that could do it for less money than he could. This company is very honest and I would recommend them to anyone and I would use them again in the future if I need to.

It was excellent. They really have good pricing. They were quick. Everything was on track. He was able to fix our oven instantly. He even laughed when we should him the invoice from the previous repair about four or five years ago, and it was more than what he charge. He fixed it within 24 hours. We like him a lot. We will call him back.

I have absolutely no doubts in referring Dave at Lakeland Appliance to all my friends, etc. Dave is friendly, knowledgeable, and very honest, I will continue to use him to solve any of my appliance problems in the future... hope he is around forever!

Dave scheduled time within 48 hours of my phone call to come out a diagnose and fix three appliance problems. He arrived within 5 minutes of his scheduled appointment time and went right to work. He cleaned all the burners on the cooktop and restored full functionality. He investigated several possible causes for the broken broiler and determined it was pin issues in the oven relay board. He soldered 10 pins and retored full functionality to the broiler. He determined that the flickering light in the cooktop hood fan was caused by a failing light unit which required a new part. He ordered it that same day and returned just a few days later to install the new unit. Dave is a very experienced and dedicated appliance professional. He is kind and personable. He know his stuff! He is our "go to" guy!! I highly recommend him!

I've used Dave for over 10 years - he's always fixed whatever issue I was having with the washer & dryer quickly & competently, at a reasonable price. This time my washer wasn't automatically spinning - he gave me the part # to order it from Amazon because it was cheaper than he could get it, saving me about $50. My dryer was drying oddly - sometimes fine, sometimes not at all, sometimes so-so. He replaced a few parts and a belt which was frayed. I haven't had to call him often, but when I have, he's been great!

Dave was awesome, he looked over the refrigerator and freezer. My refrigerator is 20 years old, one of the first built in counter depth Kenmores. If i have to replace it it will cost about $8000. The best thing is I had a warped crisper cover, the part is no longer available and Dave took it to his shop and flattened in for me. No charge. Who does that? Dave gracious did that for me.

Dave and his assistant Dave called me back within the same day to schedule repair visit. They were punctual arriving for the set appointment time and went right into to the servicing the issue. They did not waste the time with the unnecessary chit-chating that a lot of other service companies do, and then bill for that time. He followed up with me promptly as soon as the necessary parts arrived to finish the repair. Lakeland Appliance provided me with one bill for the entire work upon the completion of the service. Lakeland Appliance is very professional, knowledgable, fast, reliable and honest. We have been using their services for years and will definitely call them with the next appliance service issue. We highly recommend them.

They are the best. When I was in the appliance repair business for 25 years, I was on my own, and when I went out of business, I went to him because he had the best reputation. I was reluctant to just leave my phone number out there and have anybody take it. There was one particular guy who wanted to take my number but I wouldn't give it to him. He was willing to pay me for it but I said no. I just would rather not because he was a ripoff but Lakeland is very good, very honest and very knowledgeable and I've never heard anything bad about him. The quality of his work is excellent. Their price is reasonable.

I've used Lakeland Appliance Service for a long time, 7 or 8 years. I come back to him because he's responsive, honest and competent.

I called Because a 2nd fridge of ours stopped blowing cold air.. I was not sure if it was worth getting someone to look at or just throw away because it is a 2nd fridge. He asked me a bunch of questions and recommended I look at two things to decide if it was worth having someone come look at it or now. I appreciated his help and honesty.. He called me back 2 times after I called him, so his responsiveness was great. Thanks for the help Dave

It went well. He was right on time and efficiently checked the 3 appliances I was having problems with. He repaired the oven, and it works like new now! He told me that I could buy a new microwave with a warranty for almost as much as it would cost for him to fix the old one. The dryer problem was minor, but he checked it out for me.
