The experience was very good. They were professional. We had questions about the fire codes, and they researched them and got back to us in a timely manner. The price was a little high, but they had the doors that we wanted.

After looking at options for doors at several places, we appreciated the detailed attention and advice we got when we visited the Door Store showroom in Villa Park. We scheduled a visit for an estimate at our home a few days later and David arrived promptly and did a thorough job listening to exactly what we wanted and helping us choose the right styles and colors. Delivery of the doors from the factory took quite a bit longer than estimated; once they were in, installation was scheduled within a few days. The installers were John and Brian and they did a fine, professional job which took the good part of a day since they were installing numerous door panels (and despite cold, dreary, drizzly weather to work in). There was one piece of the new threshold which was damaged (a stripped screw hole) before or during installation; a replacement was ordered and someone came out to install it a few weeks later when it arrived. The retractable screen door for the patio was to be installed separately by the dealer for that manufacturer. The original estimate was that this would be done a week after the primary door installation; unfortunately, due to issues with the installer being unavailable for personal reasons, this was delayed by roughly three months. We called the Door Store every few weeks to check on the status until the work was finally done. To his credit, the screen door installer offered to refund the full cost of the door (a few hundred dollars) due to the extreme delay, though we chose not to take him up on that offer. I've marked a B for punctuality due to the delays in delivery of the doors and installation of the screen door; my primary comment there is that it would have been good for the Door Store to follow up on their own when these delays occurred and give us a call to let us know the status, rather than us having to call them. They were always responsive to our calls, however. Overall we were very pleased with the entire job and would definitely do business with the Door Store again.

Outstanding quality installation job and materials used. A few corrections were needed, but within 30 days after another short visit everything was corrected properly and perfectly. The cost was a bit more than I expected, but considering the quality of materials and workmanship it was worth the expense.

We had a great experience with The Door Store. We received a few other quotes and The Door Store was right around our budget and a little lower then the other quotes we received. Honestly, we chose them because the sales rep was very knowledgeable and was friendly. They offered top of the line doors and storm doors as well as great locks and handles to choose from. After we chose the door we wanted and storm door, they said it would take 4-6 weeks for installation. It did take about 5 weeks for them to come to install the front door. The installer was very professional and did an OUTSTANDING job of removing our old door and installing the new one, including new trim, door jam, etc...he was very clean and neat too. My only minor complaint is he wasn't able to install the storm door that same day because he needed a part and he had to order it. Not sure why they couldn't have planned that ahead of time. So we had to wait another two weeks for a part, then schedule them to come back and install the storm door. So another 3 weeks basically for them to finish. I did not dock them for this because they did a fabulous job on both installations and we are very happy. We will use them in the future for a new basement door and back door.

They did a good job for a good price. If there is a need, I would use them again in the future too.

The Door Store owner David was very helpful at the time we selected our front door, back door and back storm doors. The installation took about 7 hours. Everything looked great when the installers were done. They were neat in cleaning up and very professional in all aspects of the job. I had used them to install a front storm door about 8 years ago and was so pleased with how well the door and installation has held up that we called them first. Their product line is of very high quality. I would use them again without hesitation.

Went to their Villa Park store end March to look at a sliding patio door - selected one, was given an estimate and a couple of days later David Voss came out to confirm the measurements and sign the contract. I was somewhat doubtful of the four weeks delivery given me but, sure enough, within that time I received a call to say the door was in and to set up installation. Early installation morning they called me to say that because of the rainy weather it wouldnt be advisable to install that day. I appreciated the early call since I was then able to rearrange my schedule instead of waiting around all day. On installation day they called to let me know that Brian would be at my home within a half hour. Brian was very professional and certainly knew what he was doing. Installation took about 5 hours. He cleaned up his workspace both inside and out, and hauled away the old door. The whole process was very smooth and "painless".

A very good experience and ``yes'' we will buy from The Door Store again.

Mike was helpful in selecting the doors to replace our front door and storm door and a side door. We were confident that we could get exactly want we wanted and had a lot of information provided to answer our questions. The measurer and installers were so nice, professional, and just wonderful. They worked quickly and did a great job. Couldn't ask for a more professional team. I would certainly recommend them (since I don't think I will be replacing more doors in the lifetime of the house.)

The sales person came to my house and was very helpful in the selection process. He was knowlagable on the different kind of doors and the costs. The only issue was that we were told that it would take about 8 to 10weeks to make the door and have it installed. In reality it took about 16 weeks. The installition was great and we are happy with the new door.

I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. They had a wide selection of doors to choose from. When I explained about a problem with the wind catching the screen door which damaged it, they showed me a model with a continuous hinge. The manager, David Voss, came out the same day and examined my current door. It about 6 weeks for the doors to arrive and get installed -- however, nearly 2 weeks of that delay was because I was out of town. The day of installation the installer showed up promptly. He put down mats to keep my floor clean and started to work -- and worked hard all day. The job was extremely professional -- the doors hang straight with no gaps. They close easily. And the best thing -- when the wind again caught the screen door, it didn't get damaged! It recovered and closed. I did have the Door Store come back out and redo the top flashing on the exterior of the door because there were gaps in the mitering. They were extremely patient in getting back hold of me, calling multiple times -- I tend to be in a lot of meetings during the day! They came out and looked and had the installer come back -- without needing for anyone to be home. I was very impressed with the quality and professionalism of all the Door Store employees and plan to reuse them this next year in replacing the back door and window. Yes, you will pay more than going to a big box store and doing it yourself, but I felt this was money very well spent.

I had three companies come out to give me an estimate on the same day. However, I was impressed with The Door Store. I was pretty much considering that I might go with them. There was one company which was not as thorough as the others. The other companies told me that they could fix the door jamb and also told me a few more things that we need to be concerned about since they were more thorough. I want to make sure that the work would be done in the way that I expect it to be finished. Overall I was happy with them and The Door Store was probably one of the better ones compared to the other companies. They came out right away and were on time as well. If need be, then I would call them again for an estimate.

Excellent service -- came to home to measure and choose doors, and provide estimate. Everything explained thoroughly. Installed in just a few hours -- a very professional job. Everything cleaned up. I highly recommend this company.

Chuck did our estimate and also recommended a style for our house. We love the style that he suggested. The installation went well-it was a longer process than we anticipated, but I had no idea as to the amount of work it takes. The only small glitch was that we anticipated using the same indoor molding around the door, but it did not fit after installation. They installed new molding, so I had a paint job that I didn't anticipate, but that was no big deal. Last Summer they installed a new storm door on a house we were getting ready for market and their service was excellent. They are excellent in follow-up on any issues.

We have used their services for about three or four times now. They are very timely and are really neat about their work. Their prices are competitive and we are really happy with them. They stay true to their word.

This company replaced my front door with a custom steel "Drop in" door. I found them to be very professional, helpful, on-time, and the quality of both the door and the instillation was perfect. I thought the price was very reasonable. It cost minimally more than home depot, but well worth it, because the quality of the door is much better than the hardware store products we looked at. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. They were great.

They had to rescedule an estimator appointment, but were professional about it. The estimator, Chuck, was prompt and thorough. He was also helpful with a followup call when we had questions.

Installation of a huge sliding glass door. People came that do the work were very polite and courteous. The workers worked very well together, you could tell that they liked each other. During the quote process he followed up on the phone and explained it and even included taxes in the price. I felt like they were up front and not trying to hide anything.

WE HAVE USED THEM BEFORE AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS.
