The workers were very quiet and efficient. They noticed a flaw in one of the doors and ordered a replacement without me having to ask for one. The company was very nice to deal with.

Great sales and install. Very please with the entire process from ordering to install. Very professional, very efficient, very knowledgeable. Would absolutely hire them for future projects.

I had two doors replaced in my 1924 home by The Door Store. My front door and my side entrance door. They were hands down phenomenal. CUSTOMER SERVICE: They helped choose the prefect for me and walked me through every single way of analyzing how to choose a door. They were patient and kind—even when I was incredibly indecisive and high maintenance. They were incredibly responsive via phone and email. CRAFTSMANSHIP: Holy cow. I couldn’t be happier. I had two doors put in and they are a perfect fit, the precision with which the installed them was amazing. They are snug, weather proof, beautiful, and the attention to detail was priceless. Furthermore, their clean up and care of my home was second to none. COST: They weren’t the cheapest option, but really it’s a big investment. You use it every single day. You look at it every single day. And peace of my mind I have with the installation and product is simply worth every penny. This is by far one of the best experiences with a contractor I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to replace my windows with them.

Doors were installed on the agreed upon schedule. Difficulties with the interior trim around the sliding glass door and the outside flashing above the front door. Multiple trips were required to resolve the interior trim at the patio door as installer didn't have all the correct trim pieces. Most of the punch list items were resolved quickly and completely. There are still a couple of other items they need to take care of- currently working with the Door Store to resolve. The doors look great & we would use them again.

The installer showed up on time and was done in a day. A minor adjustment was required and he showed up the next day to remedy the issue.

Very well. Visited their showroom to look at the selection of doors. They didn't have exactly what we wanted but the Manager was very helpful and showed us other combinations of window designs that could also be made for the storm doors. After a 6 week wait for the door, the Installer arrived on time, installed the new door and hauled away the old one along with any debris, packaging etc. Very professional personnel.

I have mixed reviews on this store/company. I will start with the best first, the gentleman that delivered my door and brought everything in was very kind and courteous. He took extra steps to make sure that my wood floor was protected and that all parts were there. The door is SUPER high quality, they have some great windows and doors and their location! Our initial visit we were a bit rushed, there was only one sales person in the showroom and there was another customer waiting on him to finish out order. He didn't seem to have the time to spend with us and he was not able to advise us on all the options available in regards to hardware style, etc. By the time I walked out of there I felt like I sold myself the door because I had to keep digging for information from him. I called back the following day to confirm a few things and to change locksets since I found one that matches the exterior lockset to the storm much better which the initial sales person did not show me as an option. I was told on the phone that there would be an up charge to the new lockset because it was a "better lockset". I agreed to the charge because I did not want the other one that did not match. I also called back to see if they could install the door that they sold me because the handyman that I had lined up to do the job was no longer available. The door took a couple months to come in due to my request for it to be finished (fiberglass). The Door Store rep said that they could NOT install the door (even though the door had not been delivered to me yet) since they sold me the door without installation. I felt that this was odd that they would not even allow me to pay them to do the install so I found someone else to do it. (Haris, Inc.) High quality products here, I wouldn't mind purchasing from them again but I would try to speak with someone that had the time to sit down with me and educate me on all their products, hardware, etc. I would also go over install at the time of purchasing knowing what I know now.

They were kind of expensive. I was working on a condo that I was trying to sell at the time. They know what they are doing.

It was very smooth. They did the work quickly, efficiently and without causing us any problems.

After receiving the quotation, and comparing it with other alternative suppliers, I decided to buy the doors from Menards and have a handy man do the installation.

I contacted the provider via their website for an estimate and they responded they would contact me shortly to set up an estimate but never heard from them until I called them again about 2 weeks later (in their defense I went on vacation for one of those weeks but I never did hear from them during that time frame). When I finally got ahold of them to get the estimate I had to wait to get it. Once they did come out, Mike was great. He explained a bunch of things and went through a couple different options. I decided to go with another company in the end for a similar Sunrise door so they didn't actually install anything for me. I did mention that they need to fix their website though.

After coming to our house to get our input and take measurements, Mike explained the products and options available to us and we are very happy with all our choices. We never felt pressured to go in any direction. The installers, Bryan and John, were outstanding. Meticulous attention to detail. Everything looks as we envisioned it and operates smoothly. They thoroughly cleaned up the workspaces and, to our surprise, we don't even need to do touch up painting around the doorframes as nothing was damaged in the process. Also worth knowing--all through the process, Mike always promptly returned phone calls or responded to emails. We would definitely recommend them to anyone.

He wasn't very helpful and we went with another company that was much better and much cheaper.

This is the third purchase that we have made from ``The Door Store'' in Villa Park. On each occasion it has been a very positive experience. Mike Niven, the sales representative has been very informative in explaining our options with regard to door selection and available colors (e.g., painted or stained). A very low pressure and knowledgeable person to deal with. The doors arrived when expected. All were beautifully stained in a rich looking ``Early American'' finish. John and Brian (employees of The Door Store) installed the doors like true craftsmen. They arrived on time , worked diligently and left the work areas in a very clean manner. (They also took time to adjust a door that had been incorrectly installed a few years ago by a local ``handyman.'') All in all, a very positive experience from all the folks we talked with @ The Door Store. I have no hesitancy in recommending The Door Store as a business to contact when looking for new doors.

Order was placed on 02/03/15. We were told it would be 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. Doors finally arrived after almost 10 weeks and the install was scheduled for 04/14/15. As the installer was putting up the framing for the bi-fold doors, we noticed that the color was much lighter than we had ordered. We had purchased a new entryway door with side-lights from this same store 3 or 4 years ago (spent around $11K) and the reason we went with them again for these two interior doors instead of having our remodeling contractor take care of them was so they could match the stains as closely as possible with the entryway. Didn't happen, even afteer a 10 week wait. We called our salesman (who had come to our home to look at the doors he had sold us before so we would be sure to get a match (He even remembered the color-Jacobean). He stopped the installer and had him bring the uninstalled components (bi-fold doors & fire door w/frame) back to the store. He said he would see what could be done and would call us back. He didn't call that day or the next. We called the store the next day (04/15/15) and were told it was his day off. When he finally did call it was to tell us the parts were going to be re-finished and would be ready sometime the week of 04/20/15. It is 04/21/15 as this is written and we haven't gotten a call with at least an up-date. These doors are the last part of a major remodel project for our lower level and everything else has been completed and looks great. But we have a gaping hole in the foyer where the bi-fold closet doors should be and the same old non-fire rated door that has been in there since the house was built 40 some years ago. Two big eyesores in an otherwise elegant setting. The lack of communication is probably the most irritating issue, followed closely by the inattention to detail, especially after such a long wait.

Everything went as promised and the door was installed 2 weeks earlier than originally estimated. There are a variety of doors on display at the show room. The owner is well versed in the different styles of doors and each one's benefits. Choices of interior and exterior doors made of metal, wood, glass etc. Single and double door openings of various sizes. The owner worked with us to make a series of decisions about materials and windows incorporated in the door. We chose to have the factory prime the door and we applied the final coats of paint, a cost saving feature. We are quite happy with the final door, especially when compared to the choices offered by the big box home supply stores and the need to hire someone to remove the old door, dispose of the old door and install the new door. This is clearly a case of getting a quality product and service because we were willing to pay for it. We recommend the DOOR STORE in Villa Park, IL.

The door was beautifully made. Brian, the installer, arrived in a timely manner and got right to work. He worked diligently to craft the door to fit. The hardware was also beautiful and professionally installed. The entire door frame had to be rebuilt and that was also done very professionally. Overall, working with The Door Store was a very pleasant experience, from meeting the estimator, Mike, to the actual installation.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Not a single hiccup. We had both back and front doors replaced. The price was right in line with the 4 other estimates for fiberglass doors,removing lead based frame and removing and replacing the two screen doors. The installer (John) was incredible. Worked all the way through without taking a break and did a fantastic job. Mike helped us select doors, locks and stains. Every project should be this easy. We'll definitely use them again and refer them to friends and family. rg
