TruGreen Lawn Care - 5550

I think they are very accommodating. They always come back if I ask to do spot weeding and things. They also call me before they come, which is not something they normally do, but I had requested that, so they do that to accommodate me.

I was fertilizing my lawn myself for many years, but didn?t find any progress. They came to the neighborhood some 4 years before to sell their products. The people who had used them had pretty nice grass. So I decided to give it a shot. They got right on my weeds and my grass was looking better. I would use them in future.

They are just great, I have dealt with them for years. I work with Cyndi and Jason and they are truly accommodating and good to work with. Cancellations are easy to do.

They did a terrible job. Their services promised were not performed. The lawn did not do well. They were supposed to aerate the lawn on the side and they did not do that. There were still weeds that were not taken care of. Outrageous prices. They had my project for two years. I am not renewing my services. I would not recommend them to any body.

I signed up for their auto bill which I thought was going to be one application per visit - so one visit would total around $40. They came today and did two applications on the same visit and applied one $40.47 charge to your checking account and then another charge of $78.81 for the second application. I called and canceled the service because they can't tell you when they are coming, to make sure you have the money in the account. It's fine to know that you need to have $50 in the account for them to come and do their work, but to have over a hundred dollars in your account at any given time is too much to ask - other things do come up.

My lawn has many, many weeds despite using trugreen for a number of years, this go around. Three years ago I called to complain that it was unsafe to walk on my lawn due to hundreds of thistles! They told me I "had the premium plan and shouldn't have any weeds"! After going through the usual not showing up for service calls, meanwhile wondering why I should have to call to begin with, as their service person would have noticed the significant problem. Last year was not too bad for thistles but many weeds remained. This year I called as many weeds, including thistles, are making a strong comeback this early in the season. I got the standard we'll have to wait ten days to two weeks and then make a service call. The first person I spoke with was kind of snotty and wondered what I was mostly calling about--the weeds or having to look for the invoice that was not on my door. I found it under one of my bushes! The second person I spoke to in the same call began to explain the way they handle weed control and that it takes time to get them under control. I explained having heard this all before and asked why they haven't been able to do this in years and why doesn't their service person notice them? From experience with this company, they will forget and the next application will be made and nothing will be done to deal with the weeds. I hope that will not be the case this year but at this point I'm not very optimistic. After having made the call this week, I learned my neighbor quit using this trugreen franchise as they never showed up for a service call. At least I don't have a ton of dandelions....

Once we signed on with TruGreen, we started getting sales calls for additional services that went beyond our regular service. The volume of calls got to be so obnoxious that we finally had to call customer service to tell them to please stop calling, but the calls never stopped - and neither did the mail solicitations. We stopped opening the "junk mail" and decided we would definitely go with a different lawn provider for the following year. This spring, much to our surprise, we noticed a bill from TruGreen on our door knob for an "early spring app". We promptly called and told them that we did not "renew" our service with them. They replied that they automatically renewed our lawn service since they never heard from us that we did not want to continue. I told them it seemed very wrong to apply anything on our yard without our express permission (what if someone new moved into our house from the previous year?) They simply replied that we still owed them the money.

They are very friendly and they always come when they say they are going to come. The approximate cost listed is per application for when they come out. I will continue to use them and would also recommend them to others.

Provider called ahead, as requested, because we keep our back yard gates locked. The treatment process was completed within fifteen minutes after his arrival and we were told to water the grass to get the application into the ground. At this point, it is difficult to determine whether or not the treatment was effective. The raccoons have not torn up any more of my lawn to get grubs, but they may not visit every night.

Trugreen Chemlawn is very responsive to phone calls. Geraldine is the one who always comes for me and she really knows my yard. She is very consistent and thorough in her work. I pay them annually. I'm very satisfied with their service.

I have nothing to compare their price and quality to but the work that they do is nothing fantastic. It is not awful either. When I first signed up with them, they would do follow up calls now they don't call anymore. I really like their notes as they have a handwritten feel to them. They let me know what they did to the lawn and giving me advice about water and general care. My lawn is looking better than before.

They were alright. There was nothing really special about the whole operation. They did what they needed to do. The price was average and the grass looked good. I would recommend them. They are well known and I am pleased with them. We paid them per application.

I am not happy with this company because my lawn looks terrible. They keep telling me that I have to get better seed. I have a service contract with them, but any other application is extra. We had a grub problem that ended up running us ninety five dollars. I haven't seen any improvements in the lawn; it is not very healthy. If they are late, they never call to let you know. I don't like that. I really can't seeing us renewing with them.

I was not too pleased with the service because it seemed the chemical they were using was not strong enough to get rid of the weeds for a lengthy amount of time. The cost was also more than other companies and I would have to call them back quite often. They did however show up one time and were very nice, but I just don't think that they were very effective.

The company provides other services. They don't mow nor trim. The price is for the season contract. I'm not sure I am getting my money's worth. The average cost for each treatment is $70 dollars, and they take and use a little fertilizer, and that's it. I suppose I can do that myself. I don't know. I am wondering if its really worth the money. But it is definitely worth the money for the weed control.

I am looking out at the yard and to be quite honest, it is gorgeous. They are amazing with lawns. They have been here year after year. They have a good reputation. They know what they are doing. They absolutely keep the lawns looking like something pretty great. It just adds a healthy look to them overall, so that's what I like about Chemlawn. I see their trucks around here all the time too, so I imagine they are gaining increased popularity in my area.

They come regularly, like they are supposed to. They just come and put down the granules and leaves us a bill. He writes little things there, personable letters reminding me to do things. Other than that, we don't really have any dealing with the guy who puts the stuff on the lawn. I would highly recommend them.

We had actually tried to go a year without the service, but could really tell the difference. The weeds got really bad. So, we gave them a call and decided to continue the service again. They always do a nice job following up and I would recommend them to other people.

They are very good at what they do. I like that they are always here at the scheduled time. You don t need to call them and they leave you their invoices. I have enjoyed their friendliness and their service.

They came out and applied the treatment without having called me. My lawn was un-cut when they came out. When I phoned about it, I was told that it would be no problem and they would come back out in two weeks, and call me prior. They didn't come out for three weeks, and never called. Again, at the time, my lawn was un-cut. I phoned again to complain. The agent was no help, and said a manager would call me back. Meanwhile, they came out to do an aeration. I mailed the payment for that the day I received the bill. Later, when I called about the original treatment issue, I was told that my account is now on hold because I have not paid. I said that I had been waiting for a manager to call. I was told I would receive a call. Days passed and still nothing. The only call I received was one from their Accounting department telling me that I owe them $29.95. The caller was not interested in the customer service side of the issue. There has been a complete lack of customer service.

See above. ALso they are always calling to sell you more product, unless you specifically ask them not to.

These people are worse than telemarketers! We just recently moved into our home and had no idea what our yard looks like because of the snow on the ground. We told the sales rep that we would call him once we knew what we had to work with. Instead, the sales rep called us incessantly, every day, approx 5 times a day. We truly felt that we were being harassed. We were planning on using the service until this happened. But now, we will never use their service and will tell everyone of their customer harassment policy.

Chemlawn bought out our original lawncare company, and began doing work without asking whether we wanted to keep them as a lawncare provider. They fertilized the lawn at least twice with no ill effects, but the application done Sept. 13 which was pellet fertilization left the lawn within 4 days pock marked with brown lines and 8 - 10 inch splotches of brown which continued to show more damage for the next 5 days before it leveled off. Interestingly, the person applying the fertilizer noted on the paper left that our lawn had ''good color''. Of coarse the company said the spreader malfunctioned (though this had NEVER happened with my last company) and offered to spot seed as well as take the charge off our bill. We received a paper saying that the lawn had been spot seeded, but on close inspection, I found no evidence of seeds anywhere. It took many calls before someone called us back to discern what our complaint was. The first caller said that the treatment contained nothing harmful.

Please let other homeowners know that they are dishonest and trying to charge for service they did not do.

The phone service rep was courteous, understood the circumstances and promised that service would be performed within one week. The lawn was treated 4 days later and the weeds were soon gone. Thanks TRUEGREEN CHEMLAWN.
