Excellent job. Work was done when they said it would be done, big crew finished in a couple of days and left the area very clean.

There is a place in heaven for Nathan Verning and the folks at Oasis. I had no experience with this company prior to needing a new roof. I found them through Angie's List. Since my insurance company had sent out an adjuster the previous year when we had a large hail storm and said I had no roof damage, I assumed when my roof started leaking it was due to age and the replacement of the roof was my cost to bear. I called 3 companies for estimates. Nathan from Oasis returned my called immediately. Set up a date and time to meet and showed up when he said he would. Of the two other companies, one never returned my call the other said they would come out and give me an estimate and never did. Nathan came, got on my roof (very high, steep pitch) armed with his iPad to take pictures. when he came down he told me I had extensive hail damage and showed me pictures of softball size damage. I explained what my insurance company told me and he said that if an adjuster came to my house, he'd never been on the roof. He told me to call my insurance company and ask for another adjuster to come out and that he would go on the roof with the adjuster. The second adjuster came and Nathan met him as promised. They sent 45 pix to my insurance company, who again disapproved the claim for lack of "photographic evidence" (they had taken pix of 2/3 of the roof but not the last 3rd because of safety issues (steep, slate).. I was growing discouraged but Nathan told me not to worry. He was right. after another round of pix, my insurance company approved the claim. Of course throughout all of this my roof was leaking; and of course, we have an unusually wet early summer. I emailed Nathan on the weekend (since it was raining and more was in the forecast) to ask if there was any temporary fix. He came to my house on a Sunday evening, the day before he was to leave on vacation with two Oasis folks and they tarped my roof in the pouring rain. Nathan does this not once, but twice, when high winds shifted the tarp. In the middle of this, I am called out of state on a family emergency and would not be home to deal with the roof selection, paperwork, etc. Nathan simply emailed me the estimate, accepted an email confirmation from me, recommended a shingle, which I loved and thought was perfect for my century home and installs it while I am out of state. They did this all without a signed contract or any payment in advance. When an awning was accidentally ripped from slate being removed from the roof, they replaced it. There are many more instances of their stellar professionalism throughout this entire process but I would run out of space listing them all. Nathan and his team exceeded all my expectations. Without them I am sure I would never have won the battle with my insurance company. Not once did I feel that Oasis was more concerned about making a profit than getting a job done right. Nathan and his team are truly shining examples of professionalism, integrity and customer-focused service.

Consultant was too interested in what my insurance was going to pay. I wanted their best price, the individual asked a second time what the insurance was going to pay....."don't want to leave any thing on the table!" Was not going to be able to start the job for several weeks.

This company was great. Very friendly and nice. Were prompt on there service and organized. Work was done very well and looks great!

they were prompt to roof job. They worked with me on color of metal piece showing above porch until I was satisfied. Completed job promptly. they did not put correct fascia around the porch. It was not discussed in original bid, so the standard fascia was not long enough to cover bare wood. I had them come back 10/10 for a new job. It was to install needed fascia around the entire garage. I also had them put new fascia on the 2 sides of the porch. I was told I got a discount on the porch fascia. They were not as quick to get the second job started, but once started it was done nicely and quickly.

I really like this company. I needed new gutters and they did a great job and the cost was good too!! I also need more work done and I will definitely go back to the company! I am satisfied with the communication and the work they did. Thank you!!! :)

They were really good but I didn't use them. They came and did a good job on the quote. The reason I didn't use them is because I haven't gotten it done but they were definitely the top running. I like the idea that the sales guy was very approachable and explained everything very well. I think of all the contractors that came out, he was the one I felt the most comfortable with.

I called for a roof inspection and was told someone would call and come out (in a few days). It was over a week and 1/2 until I got a call, but they apologized and have been very professional. They have called and returned calls and have come when scheduled. They did a thorough inspection and found I have a few more years let in my roof. Thanks Oasis.

They were awesome. They did great. I would recommend them.

They did a good job. They did three buildings on the property. The job was done well. The crew was fine. They worked constantly.

Overall it was good and they were on time. They did what they said they were going to do and when they were going to do it. I would recommend them.

Mike @ Oasis was very responsive and easy deal with. Both jobs, roof and siding w/ gutters and trim wrap, went great. The crews were respectful of my property and cleaned-up so well my wife couldn't even tell they were here. The site foreman kept on top of the crews to ensure all the details, like using brake-buddy on alum coil wrap around windows, was performed to my expectation. Light block mounts that arrived were the incorrect size but were reordered the same day. When the new blocks came in, Oasis was back out to install them and wire up the new outdoor lights I purchased for the entry way and the garage. The house looks beautiful, though completely different due to style of siding and color change I made, and has held up so far without any leaks or loose shingles or siding after the winds we had this winter. I highly recommend Oasis Construction and Roofing Inc., of Troy, IL.

We only had Oasis out to inspect our roof for damage and provide an estimate for new gutters. The company was very responsive and professional and not at all pushy. The inspector found what he felt was very minor damage to the roof, but said he did not feel it warranted replacing or even fixing as there was no risk to the home. We appreciated his honesty. The price they quoted for the 6 inch gutters seemed fair ($1400). We had planned to go with them but then ended up not having the gutters replaced at all. If we end up getting new gutters this year we will likely go with Oasis.

Start to finish I could not have asked for more.

The service technician came out the week before the repair for an estimate and temporarily covered the area to prevent moisture to the attic. The job was done very professional.

Guttering, roofing and aluminum window wrap crews showed up when scheduled and did outstanding work. The roofing crew carefully removed items near the house and put down 20 foot wide tarps around the entire house which caught all debris. Everything moved was put back exactly where it had been, and after the crew left I collected only a scant handful of small debris from the yard. Since Oasis is a construction company, I asked Nathan about remodeling our 40-year-old bathrooms. He said he would concentrate on roof repair work during the summer of 2013, but perhaps we can talk about it in the fall. After the absolutely superb way he's treated us, I'm willing to wait.

They showed up on time and did a nice job. About a month after the new roof some shingles blew off and they came out and replaced them for free. They were professional and everything turned out very well.

They did a good job. They showed up on time. They were courteous and they cleaned up after work is done. They are four or five roofers and then the site manager came and checked on them two or three times a day. I would recommend them.

Very well. Much better that expected after talking to neighbors and their experiences with other contractors.

After seeing the work done on a neighbor's roof, I called Oasis Construction on 7/5/2012 using the number on their yard sign. I spoke with Mike who said he would have one of his salesmen call me. I did not receive a call back. On 7/9/2012, I called Oasis, again, and talked to Mike informing him I had not been contacted. He said, "Oh, really", and said he would contact someone right away. On 7/14/2012, Nathan, from Oasis Construction, called and said he was in Belleville and asked if he could stop by to do the estimate. He arrived at the time he said he would, inspected the damage to roof and gutters and provided a detailed written estimate for the work to be done. He was professional and thorough. The price quoted was competitive. We chose another contractor and I called Nathan on 7/17/2012 and left a message that we had chosen someone else to do the work.

First I must explain that Oasis was our overall contractor for insurance repairs that resulted when we were hit with a hailstorm with baseball-sized hail on 28 Apr 2012. They did our roofing, siding, window rescreening, and all other damage on the insurance estimate. Our siding was a complete replacement and we wanted something better than the 42 mil thick cheap siding that our home builders put on--the stuff made a racket even in a light wind. We decided to go with Certainteed CedarBoards Insulated Siding. Oasis must have excellent sources of supply because we had the siding in within 7 days of signing the contract. The siding folks were late the first day, and were made even later by thinking they had the wrong house (our neighbors had an Oasis sign, but we did not). Neither my wife nor I received a call, but fortunately my son got my wife in touch with the siding folks and she had to convince them it was our siding (she knew the exact brand and model). So the first day they didn't get started taking off siding until the afternoon. The subcontractors (I assume they were since most lived in Missouri), seemed knowledgeable of how to put on siding. There were a couple of problems during installation worth mentioning. Our air conditioner quit working because they had unhooked the power to clear siding from near the units and a switch was put back in incorrectly, disabling the compressor. Fortunately, Gomaro figured it out. We had a similar problem with an exterior light. One if the guys (not with the regular installation crew) sped through our neighborhood with his pickup truck hauling the waste siding trailer at about 40 mph (in a 25 zone with lots of kids in this neighborhood). Probably one of the worst problems was the crew running out of siding and extending the replacement job to another 4th day. The crew was also h****** our brand new roof (scaffolding and boots mushed new shingles), but since Oasis contracted for both, they promised to repair the damaged shingles. I will update this post when they do. The crew's cleanup was immaculate. Haven't found a shingle nail yet in the yard or driveway. Lastly, the final product...this may reflect on the skill of the crew or it could just be the product we picked (which is why I rated Quality a "C"), but the siding joints on our new siding is much more noticeable and each piece doesn't fit like a puzzle like our old siding did. I have attached pictures so you can be the judge. We do enjoy a much quieter house now. We had a 40 mph windstorm the weekend after it was finished and the house was whisper-quiet whereas with the old siding it would have been a rattling racket. Additionally with an insulation R value, we hope to save some on heating and air conditioning. Oasis still isn't finished with us. They have shutters, windows and gutter/downspout replacement jobs for us...will post on those as they are completed. In my experience, Oasis isn't punctual on replying to e-mails, but if you call Mike at 618-667-1966 you usually get an answer within a day or two. Updated to add pictures on 19 June 2012. Updated on 1 July 2012: Shingles were fixed, however, we have buckling under our master bedroom window on the siding and the joints, especially on the back of the house are not seamless at all like the old siding was. Updated 26 May 2013: It has been almost one year since our repairs. We did have a problem with a roof leak, but one thing I will tell you about Oasis is they back up their work. They are a local company with a conscience and I would go with them again in a second for a new roof or siding. Our new outdoor shutters were also purchased and attached to the house for us at a very minimal fee and look great. Nathan, our service rep, was fantastic at getting his folks to solve the leak problem, ask for him by name. I have improved the grades mostly based on his dogged determination to ensure we were satisfied.

They are excellent. I had to pay $500 deductible and the remaining $6,000 odd was paid by my insurance. They are very prompt and not only did they complete the work in a very timely manner but they also did it professionally. They are excellent people to work with and are very willing to discuss things, which need to be done, prior to doing it. All around, they are basically a good company. They had replaced at least 7 or 8 roofs on my street alone and I have heard no complaints, and that was one reason that I called them. They do not provide tree service. They are going to be coming out again to repair my roof that is damaged from hailstorm.

We called Oasis Construction and Roofing shortly after the hail storm that hit us on April 28, 2012 with baseball-sized hail. They were listed in a prior year's phone book so I knew they were licensed, bonded and had at least been around a while. While the company was very busy, they scheduled a time in the late afternoon when I would be home a few days later (this was important because I had to miss work for other estimates). Chad and his crew had the roof walked and an estimate ready for me within a half hour. He had included 3-tab shingles, but I explained we were looking for an upgrade to architectural shingles, 30 lb felt, and other repairs on the roof as detailed in our insurance estimate. He patiently listened to me, then even brought back a sample book of Certainteed shingles and siding, which we were desiring based on positive feedback from various sources. We checked to ensure the company was qualified to install the shingles (they were). We were almost ready to go with Oasis, but what sealed the deal was the fact that they could guarantee the job completion within a month of signing (important to us because we were in the process of getting an appraisal for a mortgage refinance and needed the repairs accomplished ASAP to close). Additionally, they could give us the 50-year high def Landmark Premium shingles we wanted for only marginally more than the three-tab shingles. They must have great suppliers because the shingles and siding were in within 10 days after Oasis ordered them upon contract signing. Mike called on Thursday asking if Oasis could start Friday, June 8th. No problem with us since we didn't need to be present. Crew showed up at 0600 sharp! That is 6am to you non-military types. Yes, they were an all-Mexican heritage crew, (as one of their competitors mentioned to me they would be when I told them I had an estimate from Oasis) but they were all professional, quick, courteous and seemed to take great pride in giving us a quality roof. They cleaned up the work site meticulously with the big magnet and their sharp eyes and bare hands, missing only a few nails on our back deck. They were done by 5pm and a follow-up by a supervisor removed all traces that any work had been done, except we had a beautiful new roof. While the whole experience was not without minor issues (one missed appointment --it was a Saturday, but when I called they immediately responded) (damaged roof vent caps not replaced--promised to correct this) I would whole-hardheartedly recommend this company for any of your roofing needs. If we ever again go through the pain of an insurance claim again, this will be the first company we call! I will be sure to review their siding and window jobs as soon as they are complete. I am trying to post pictures, but I guess I have to submit this report first according to an e-mail I just received from Rebecca C. of Angie's List.

They completed the job in a day. The workers didn't cause any problems and didn't tear up anything. They cleaned up all the nails with a giant magnet. They were here when they said they would be.

Contractor was very courteous and called prior to arriving to let me know he was running a few minutes late. He knew prior to his arrival that he was the first contractor out of 5 that I had contacted and would be meeting with. After he arrived, he performed several measurements, looked at my roof, then demanded to see my insurance paperwork. He then wrote a figure on the paper on his clipboard and said it was a one time offer for that day only. His number was exactly $500 more than the total amount my insurance company would pay for damages. My deductible is $1000. He then said if he had to come back later, it would cost me $500 more. Numerous times I explained to him that the amount the insurance company was paying me for was also for damages to other property (separate from my roof and gutters). Insurance paperwork clearly had other property damages covered at $950. This guy clearly thought I was stupid enough to believe whatever he said. He refused to leave a written estimate or any kind of documentation with his company name on it. I refuse to do business with anyone who tries to force me to choose them BEFORE allowing me to obtain estimates from their competitors. Decent, honest, legitimate, and trustworthy companies, do NOT need to use such high pressure sales tactics. I will never call them for anything again, nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. The Illinois Attorney General's brochure, "Consumer Repairs: Know Your Rights" first 2 tips red-flagged this company for me. Those 2 tips are: 1. Get all estimates in writing.2. Do not be induced into signing a contract by high-pressure sales tactics. If they cannot leave a written estimate or anything with their company name on it, then they are up to something illegal and I want nothing to do with them.
