One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning

They were prompt on setting appointment and arriving on time. We were left with an estimate on further services which was welcomed. However, we could not read what the further services were.

Everything went extremely well. Additionally, Rose immediately followed up with an issue I had regarding an incomplete order of furnace filters I had made from the supplier.

Perfectly well; Terrell was the technician; he showed up exactly on time and was very friendly and very positive throughout his visit. I asked some questions about how my new High efficiency furnace worked and he explained it to me in a way I could understand. This never happens to me but I actually felt better at the end of the service call than I did at the beginning. His positivity was infectious and I will ask for him the next time I need service.

A technician named Jimmy D. came out at 12:30 in the afternoon and said that the motor and capacitor needed to be replaced. The charge was $790.40. Within the next several hours the house was getting terribly cold. We once again called One Hour Heating. They sent another technician out Don C. Who said the only thing that it could be is the thermostat. He quickly replaced the thermostat and left but not before charging us $60 for labor to replace the thermostat even though it was under warranty. That same afternoon the furnace stopped running and the temperature was dropping fast. One hour Heating sent out another technician Fredy A who did not arrive for several more hours. He once again replaced the thermostat. At 4:00 a.m in the morning the furnace stopped working again. By this time my husband was concerned because of health conditions that I have that could be impaired by the very cold temperature in the house. We called One Hour and got the dispatcher Carl who said that he had no one to send out and replied "You're not the only one without heat you know". I explained to Carl that it true but we're on our fourth technician who couldn't diagnose the problem. At around 7:00 a.m. They sent out Jeff B who took a look at the wiring. He hooked up the Heating wires to the Central Air to get the furnace working and said this would give us heat and hold until Spring when they would need to run a new thermostat wire through our attic. Carl the dispatcher called and said that they contract people to do that and it would probably run about $1000. Fast forward to Spring and time to run the air conditioner that is currently disabled because they are using that wire for the heat. My husband who is a retired electrician started to think that it would be impossible for a wire buried in the wall to go bad so suddenly. We called One Hour and specifically asked for Jeff who was the only one who gave us temporary heat. We now needed the central air to work. My husband told Jimmy his theory about the wiring . It was that the technician who installed the new the motor in December was the one who damaged the wiring in the furnace. Sure enough as soon as Jeff spliced the wires together everything worked . I might add that they would only send Jeff out if we agreed to pay $89 for One Hour to do the summer check-up on our air conditioner. So after making several holes in our wall for several new thermostats that we didn't need in the first place, We also have the wires on our furnace spliced and together to keep it running.

Service was excellent. Tech was efficient and expeditious.

Budget Right Handyman worked around my schedule and that was after I changed my appointment several times. Terell was punctual, courteous, helpful (explained everything he was doing) knowledgeable and friendly. I don't think I could have asked for any more.

The service contract also covers our hot water heater. They tried to sell us a furnace when we really didn't need one. They are persistent about getting out here twice a year.

They came in at being the best deal out of the bids we received. We have a service contract with them. We've been using them for quite some time now.

The fee is $19 a month for the service contract. The work they do, they do very well. They will call and confirm and hassle me until they do come out.

Very well. Rose, in the office scheduled my service appointment. She was responsive and met my request for Donova, the service technician. Donovan is very professional and courteous. He does not push for unneeded services and products. I always request Donovan. I look forward to seeing him in the spring for the air conditioner service.

It was great. Joe did a great job and everything was clean afterwards. It fixed our furnace-overheating problem.

It went well. The reason I rated B overall instead of A is that this company always tries tries to sell me something. This time it was a $550 filtration system that appears to be far superior to the normal system most of us have on our furnaces. It wasn't a hard sell, but nonetheless, this bothers me about this company. I will add that the service providers are always very nice, very polite. Rose, who sets the appointments and makes calls to the customer is accomodating. Company is certainly worth giving a try.

Had them out, they tried to cheap me actually. I needed one part, all I needed was an igniter part. I knew how to put it in, I knew where it went. They said, ?no, we can?t sell you the part, we need to do it.? It was an $18 part and they charged over $100 to put the part in. Then they had the nerve to use their camera to look inside the furnace for a safety check. They were going, ?your furnace is cracked inside.? ?No, it?s no, I had it scanned before, it?s not. There?s a ridge along the edge, a raised ridge inside.? They were showing me the same ridge that I already knew was there, it wasn?t cracked. It was the standard ridge that was inside the edge. There was no point on that, so I didn?t really need them to put the part in that?s held by 2 screws total. The igniter is that thing that heats up to start the ignition to light the furnace. It?s held by 2 screws right in the front. I mean you would have to be an idiot to not be able to hook that up. Price rating ? It?s a tough one because I know the value of the part, I knew how to put it in myself. So, you talking price it was high to me, but it wasn?t high to what the job was. It was a fair price to what the job was. It just wasn?t a fair price because I could have easily put that in with a $20 part. It?s a fair price for the average person who isn?t going to do it themselves. I told the guy what is was before he got there. I told them all that needed to be done. He was the one that had to do the safety check. He was the one who had to look whether the furnace was clean or not, and that was just busy work. If I was an average person who didn?t know how to do it, it?s a fair price and I would probably give something like a ?B?. For me who know how to do it, who just needed the part. To ordered it online which I could have done it would have taken 3 days to get to me, it probably would have been a ?D?. In my answer it would be a ?D?, but it?s not fair to them. I wouldn?t give them anything because honestly, I would just not give them a rating. It?s a tough call. They came out when they said they would, they called before arriving, they did well with that. In their scheme of things, they were very professional. I don?t like being cited policy that we can?t do something, but within who they are and what they do, they were fine. The problem with the part failing is that you can?t plan for that. You need the part when you need the part, you?re just sort of stuck. If I knew it was going to fail a week in advance I would have had a spare.

Its done. It was good. They were pretty thorough. They also recommended, not just a tune up, but that I had some wiring issues that would cause some issues down the road. They let me know about it, and gave me some options. They are pretty responsive.

All technicians are professional, knowledgeable, and on time. Most seem to have been with company for years, and are very good at answering all questions. Office staff are wonderful in scheduling appointments. Phone calls are always answered and responded to.

I received a reminder call the day before the appointment and the technician, Frank, called me the day of the appointment to tell me that he was on his way and also his estimated time of arrival. He was prompt and performed the check-up very efficiently and effectively. Afterward, he went over the findings with me in detail. Rose, who always schedules the appointments and makes the reminder calls is very friendly and accommodating. I have been a customer of One Hour Heating for many years and have always been satisfied with their work.

I'm on their annual plan for twice a year to come out for our air conditioning and furnace. One person came and it took about an hour. They put booties on and they were very nice to my dog. They were very professional. They cleaned up well when they were done.
