About us

The company was established in 1972 as P&J Heating and Air Conditioning by Pete and Jim. In the late 1980's, Air Wise and Best Heating (established in 1948) joined the family and American Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning was formed. The year 2003 is here and American Comfort joins a national franchise to offer clients a higher level of service. One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is here for the residential customers while maintaining the American Comfort name for the Commercial side of the business. It may seem like a lot of change, but, it was all done under one of the original owners. To this day, we are still family owned and operated.

Description of Work: Talked with Nate on March 15th Friday afternoon. He tried but couldn't schedule a service that very same day but offered Saturday service (provided I pay an extra sum) but was not insistent. Talkative chap... Friendly though. I asked him for the next option and he suggested Monday the 18th and I accepted that. Steve came along promptly at the said date and was extremely cordial not to mention effective. He performed his duty efficiently, swiftly, provided me with the details of the problem, started up the water heater and even went to the extra length of adjusting the 'air flaps' on the aluminum 'air outlets'... Well, at least thats what I regard them as such. Very clean, very tidy, even put his shoe coveralls although I did not required him to do as such. Bottomline, here I was a satisfied customer due to the proficient and professional service performed throughout. Might not be a major problem that I had but no matter what the end result was satisfactory. They were not pushy at all but even suggested that I could get on a monthly service program for a nominal fee which sounded fair and just. No wishy-washy sales pitch though, just a layed out monthly schedule if I ever needed one. Me and my wife thought that it would be utmost beneficial when/once we encounter such unexpected mishaps just as the one we went thru. In summary, shall we request their services again, a BIG YES! Was it a satisfactory experience in terms of both technical input, solving the problem and monetary bottomline, another yes. Ohh, by the way, our pug puppy Gracie did not bark at Steve at all as I guess she liked his cordial manners. Normally, Gracie barks, thumps, creates havoc if she senses 'threat'... So, One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning passed the grade even at that level! Stamp of Approval by the BOSS of the household...
