the owner, Tom Duerr answered his phone within a few rings. He was polite and friendly and said he could come out the next day to give me an estimate. he was right on time. He gave me the estimate and schedule two guys to come out either the next day or the day after which was great because I especially needed the sump pump put in before the following week. I would highly recommend them and use them again. They guys that came to the house were knowledgeable, friendly, and timely.

The crew was on time and very professional. They completed all work in one day and even stayed late so they did not have to come back. They obtained needed permits from the city and the inspection by the city inspector went smoothly. They ensured the electricity was off for a short time while the main was rewired. Would use them again and would recommend them.

We were impressed with the service we received. We had contacted a company with whom we had done business in the past several times and could not even get anyone to come out to look at the job! We were able to get an estimate within a week of our initial contact with T.D. Electric, and the job was scheduled for the following week. The two electricians were punctual, friendly and willing to go above and beyond our initial expectations. The price was slightly higher than we had expected, but were happy with the quality of the service. We will call on this company again!

Called the night before for an appointment.(around 8 pm) Told them what was going on. They said then they thought is was a loose wire. Asked if I wanted them to come at 8 am the next morning. I asked if they could make it 10 am. And they did. Called before they came. On time. I didn't have to wait for them. The man who came was very professional and nice. And I will need an updated fuse box before too long. Gave me an estimate for that, that day. Will use again! (when they were called the night before they did offer to come out then but said since it wasn't sparking any more it would be ok to wait until morning and be much cheaper, which made me feel much better that my house wasn't going to burn down that night.)

We had a pool installed and need the power ran from one side of the house to the other. The weather was extremely hot and the guys were going to have to crawl up in the attic to get the wire across. The guys came up with a solution that kept them out of the attic and still made the job look professional. The guys approached me and talked to me about the solution without just doing it. Their communication skills are fantastic! Their professionalism is awesome! I would hire them over and over and over again!

called them at 8AM on Monday and they were here at 8:30. Took only 5 minutes. they said their normal minimum is $150, but reduced to $95 since the time needed was so short.

They arrived on time in a company truck. They did not have uniforms or identification, but otherwise were very professional. They removed their shoes when entering the house and were very polite when checking things out. They explained the problem and answered questions I had to clarify the issue. They seemed to do a good job fixing the problem and it was nice that they were able to come out that day.

Three electricians were sent out to do a job that one or two could do. One showed up late and they did not have proper equipment to install the light fixture at the top of the staircase. They were told at booking that one fixture is at the top of staircase. I lent my adjustable ladder for use and had to show the technicians how to work the ladder and supervise how the light fixture went together. I had advised the head electrician upon arrival there was wiring in the ceiling that must have been used before but had no idea where it led to because there was no switch. Instead of tracing the wire first, the electrician completely installed the ceiling fan and then went to the wall switch only to discover there was no switch for the wiring in the ceiling. They proceeded to tell me they would have to cut holes in my ceiling to run a wire at the additional cost of $350.00 or I could leave the fan as it was...inoperable. Of course, electricians do not do drywall work so I am stuck with a ceiling fan that doesn't work because the electrician failed to do the primary function of his job, which was to trace the wire.

All work was performed very well and to our satisfaction!

Based on recommendations from Angie's List, I contacted Tom Duerr at TD Electric on Monday 11 June 2012. He came out that very day. I explained what I needed: rewiring of five old two-prong outlets in living room to three-prong grounded outlets for greater safety and convenience, Two other two-prong outlets on an outside wall would be replaced with better-quality two-prong outlets (clearances between the roof and the top of the wall would not allow rewiring without cutting into the interior walls and ceiling). The price I was quoted seemed reasonable, so I accepted it. Next day Mr Duerr called and verified the estimate and said his two-man crew would be at my house at 8 AM on Thursday 14 June. And so they were. (I had moved items to give them access to the attic, where the wiriing was, and had moved furniture to give access to all the outlets.) They went straight to work, and were done in just over three hours. The job required them to replace the outlet boxes and the outlets, to fish cable down inside the walls to the outlet boxes and to the circuit breaker panel, and connect all this up. They were courteous and friendly, answered my questions, and neither rushed nor dawdled. They were serious about their work. And they helped me put the furniture back when they had finished. I would recommend TD Electric to any Springfield-area homeowner needing electrical work done.

When Tom Duerr's crew came the next day they worked efficiently and neatly, quietly and professionally. They were friendly and accomplished the job in the proper amount of time. Everything went as expected and I have no complaints whatever. They did what they had to do in the attic and the basement, drilled what they had to drill and finished the job that day.

Due to unusual circumstances surrounding the installation of a new furnace in our attic we needed our planned electrical work done on short notice and T.D. Electric came to the rescue. Three young men arrived at our door at exactly 8 a.m. on the scheduled day and stared work immediately. They were at our home for nearly 5 hours primarily installing ceiling fans throughout our home and worked steadily with the exception of one short break and lunch. (And I have to say, the left and returned from their lunch in less time than it took me to prepare and eat lunch with my four year old). They were very professional, courteous and tolerated my four year old narrating their every move which, quite frankly, shocked me for their age. Best of all, their rates are more than reasonable. I would recommend Tom and his crew to anyone and will most definately use their services again in the future.
