TD Electric

We contacted TD electric for 8 electrical outlet installs, and some lights. They said they were booked 3 weeks out. The day they are to arrive, they didn't show up. I called and spoke with "Mickey". He said his laptop broke, and he lost all his contacts. I asked if he could come out, he said he was busy. I explained I took the day off. He said "it is what it is", and I should call someone else. Very unprofessional.

Great. They were here on time if not a few early. Very friendly, very professional and quickly fixed the problem. Will still have to ask for a replacement part from Hunter fans, but they got me up and running. Would definitely hire them again - they came and did what I asked and explained things to me, etc.

It went perfectly. The contractor answered the phone himself and arranged a time to do the work for us. (We didn't have to call back or wait for someone to call us.) We set it up for just a few days later. The contractor came on time, did a great job and the price was very good too. We would definitely recommend T.D. Electric and will plan to hire them again when the need arises!

Great! Came within half hour of my calling. Said was just older wiring covered with cloth and it gets brittle and frays as it gets old. They taped up the frayed part. Did not even charge me for a service call! I feel much better knowing that is all it was and that the taping fixed it and is safe. Will most definitely call again if I need anything electric done.

It went great. We have an older home (1930s) and needed the electrical system brought up to current code and needed additional circuits, outlets and switches. It's so nice to be able to run the toaster, the microwave and the coffee maker in the kitchen without popping a circuit breaker. Tom's crew are professional, very knowledgable and cleaned up after the job was done. We've had TD electric out at two other homes we've owned and have always been very satisfied with their work.

I called, got an estimate and got the issues addressed all in the same day! The electrician evaluated what needed to be done and didn't push me to do more than just what was needed. It was a great experience.

They did an acceptable job. I had some receptacles fixed, new fixtures installed and was going to have a few lines redone. They did a majority of the work agreed upon. However, a couple issues arose and I hired another party to finish up the work that could handle construction and electrical.

I contacted the electrician who did the original work and and he said he might have time to get to it on Monday I contacted TD Electric after using Angie's list. At first they said it would be Monday but when I told them about the noise they were here early Friday. Two men were here and they checked the entire first floor and basement very carefully. and corrected the problem. They were efficient and thorough. The noise frightened me so it was very good to have the problem taken seriously.

came out checked out problem was a short in the original buried wire from house, gave me a price but had to come back the next day because of the lateness. Came back next day spent about two hours working did a great job cleaned up really good, haven't had a problem since. 

Started out good with 2 employees showing up at the arranged time (within 24 hours of initial contact). The guys tried replacing bulbs which didn't work, as I had already done the same. Next they removed the fixture and found a power transformer. They diagnosed it as bad and ordered a replacement. The bad transformer left with the electricians. The 2nd fixture was still unresolved when they left. Two weeks passed and I contacted via email them for a status update. Got a reply that the part was still on order. Next day they called to confirm I got the message. This is where it went bad quick. When I asked if another employee with more experience was able to come out for the 2nd visit, the owner told me that he wasn't going to let anyone talk about his employees like that and began swearing and hung up on me. I called back only to receive more swearing and profanity only to hear the line go dead again without saying a word. At this point they have possession of the part that needs replaced so I try a third time to contact them. The owner refused to return the property with additional vulgarity and proceeded to make threats of physical harm if I contacted the business again. The overreaction to my request for a more experienced electrician (did I mention both of the guys sent were clearly under the age of 30) left me feeling unsafe.

In early December, I had a work crew performing waterproofing repairs in my crawlspace. As part of that work, I needed to have an electrical outlet installed in the crawlspace for the new sump pump. There had been some confusion with the crew as to whether I would hire an electrician or whether they would arrange for one, so I ended up needing an electrician on short notice. I called Tom at T D Electric, and he was able to send out an electrician that same day. I was so impressed? The electrical crew (one electrician and two apprentices) was professional and efficient, and the cost was appropriate for the type of work required.

This morning (12/28/15), I had another electrical issue. My home had electricity, but my garage did not? I did the little bit of investigation I felt I knew how to do, but none of the circuit breakers had tripped. I knew that there had not been much draw on that circuit recently (and the day before, the garage electrical circuit had worked perfectly). I called Tom and explained the situation. He advised that the most likely cause under the circumstances I described was that a GFCI circuit may have tripped. I realized that an outdoor plug for Christmas lights was probably on the same garage circuit, so I agreed to look for a GFCI outlet when I got home from work that day and call him if that didn't resolve the issue. Long story short: That was the cause, and everything is now working properly.

My initial experience with T D Electric was positive, and today's experience reinforced my impression that this is a well-run local company. I have a lot of gratitude for the way that Tom and his crew handled both of these interactions. When I need electrical work in the future, I'll call Tom. He has earned my business and my respect.

Tom sent out 2 workers to check out why we were experiencing an electrical when in our shower. It was diagnosed that we needed a grounding wire attached to our water line.

Tom (owner TD Electric) came out the day before to provide a quote for the work requested. Was punctual and very professional. Had one of his crews come out the next day and complete requested work. They were punctual and professional as well  and went above and beyond the bid to make sure the work was completed correctly (meaning, more work was required than the what was in the estimate). The workers called Tom about the extra work and he kept the price as quoted. Would use TD Electric again for our home electrical needs.

Thomas came out the very next day to give me an estimate. Since the estimate was reasonable and he was able to do the service the same day, I hired him on the spot. He was cordial and professional. He sent three workers to my house later in the day as scheduled, and the three young men completed the job in a timely and professional manner.

Fantastic.  I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.  They were on time, professional, and very competent.

see above for work details, I emailed from your Angie's List, after searching for an electrician, the number of reviews was impressive as were the number of positive posts, I received a same day response but didn't check until next day I contacted and they came out and checked it out but it was late in the day(Sat) and so they came back Monday around noon. They had thought they would be there mid morning but they had an issue so they called me and let me know it would be early afternoon, which was no problem. They were very polite, and professional, they went straight to work and had the whole thing completed in about one hour. They had shot me an estimate but because they didn't run into any problems and the digging was very easy the price was well under half the price of the original estimate and about half what I had expected to pay going into the thing. Will certainly use again, and recommend very highly. Oh yes, the guys who did the estimate were the same guys who did the work, and the owner showed up just after they began, to check everything out, very pleasant and he was the person I talked to both times on the phone.
