Then end product is amazing. The lime lime for the very small size of the bathroom could have gone faster. There was an issue with receiving the wrong vanity but they worked to make it right with the supplier.

Estimate was thorough and complete. Estimator worked with me to get desired materials. Job was done promptly and quickly and finish work was very well executed. Contractor even replaced small amount of additional trim that had been previously damaged at no additional charge. Excellent work quality. A little more expensive than average contractor, but more than worth it for superior work and excellent follow-through.

The repair crew was there right on time and discussed with my mom on how they were going to repair the roof and showed her what materials they were going to use. All the work on the roof was completed within one day. The next day the head worker came back out and repaired the ceiling inside that had been damaged from the water. He was also prompt and knew exactly how to repair the ceiling. We were very pleased with the work Sutton's had done.

Sutton sells Sunrise windows. We already have the patio door and love it.

The service turned out very good. The quality of the work and the timeliness were very good. They were professional and I used them as they are very experienced. I went with them as they back up their work up as well.

Excellent response to request appointment for bid, bid was satisfactory, and quick completion of installation and remanufacturing. Did not try to sell me new gutters if the older one could be remanufactured. Bid was satisfactory, work completed as agreed upon, no hidden costs.

Front door accidentally got small dent and nicked area during instillation. They replaced it with no questions asked. Had a problem with one of the locks a few weeks later. They were very timely about repair. They cleaned up well after themselves. No problems. Will definitely use them again.

It went exactly as planned, on time, on budget,excellent quality of workmanship. Did more than was expected. Maybe not the cheapest guys in toe, but worth every penny.

,The railing installation was delayed because the posts had not been ordered. The contact salesman who helped us select from the various products available was friendly and very helpful. The work was done efficiently and professionally, by friendly workmen who answered all questions about the projects in a clear manner. Years ago I hired this company to re-roof a house and repair some broken concrete steps. These jobs were done in a timely manner and with professional quality. They are not the least expensive but the products used are of very good quality and the workmanship is excellent.

Roofers were a crew of Mexican nationals from the Lexington, KY area who apparently follow work where ever available. The crew leader spoke English, but the other three did not. They worked 12 hour days with few breaks, but were industrious. I did not see any safety precautions in use, which worried me somewhat. The installation appears acceptable, at least as viewed from the ground on a two story house. However, the gutter covers were installed backwards which caused water to gush right over the gutters in the first rain. A supervisor from Sutton inspected the installation, detected the cause of the problem, and sent the crew leader out to re-install them. Not the neatest job, but they work better. ,Later, I became aware of a roof leak around the dryer vent. I called Sutton, but they never came out to inspect or repair the problem. I finally fixed it myself, (I hope!) A year after the work was done, a representative of Sutton called to ask when they could do a followup inspection, which he stated was their usual policy. My wife informed him that we would be on vacation the following week, but that the week after would be fine. He said he would call back then to set an appointment, but we have never heard from him.

The sales rep was great. He was punctual, courteous, knowledgeable and just a good person to talk to about what needed done. He was up front about costs and time lines and he represented the company very well. Ultimately all of that comes at a price. Sutton was the highest quote I received by 15%. If the cost wasn't so prohibitive we would have loved to hire Sutton.

The construction part of the project was finished well and within a reasonable time table. The painting started out fine, but attention to detail on the finish coat was lacking. Holes not spackled, paint overruns, paint on floor trim, carpets and light fixtures. After two or three returns to correct painting, I asked them to just leave! Although not always the lowest cost for repair work, I would use their Small Jobs people again for home repair. They are professional, courteous and prompt. I would not recommend them for painting! The C rating for price reflects the lack of bang for the buck on the painting. Premium pricing did not result in premium workmanship. If you remove the painting from this evaluation, the scores would be almost all A.

It was very important to us to have quality windows installed by experts. The entire staff were courteous, respectful, & professional, from the sales rep to the installers. They installed & trimmed the windows carefully & with great attention to "do it right". They put down tarps to protect the flooring, and vacuumed the floors after the windows were installed. The new windows look fabulous, great job.

The guy who came out was really nice and very professional. It was just that they had the highest estimate that is why we did not hire them. My husband dealt with them for the most part other than when they came. I think that he was actually the only one who came on time. He was very punctual.

I talked with five different companies. Two appeared to be companies that didn't give complete information and I had some concerns about the quality of their product, on their ability or willingness to stand behind their work for any extended period of time. A third place gave a price that was at least $3,000 more than any of the other estimates and there seemed to be a bit of pressure to sign contract on day of interview - the day following this most expensive bid, I was called by their company offering to lower the estimate by almost 40% and of course, I declined. Then the choice was narrowed down to either Sutton's or Griffiths (both of these companies have been long established in Springfield). The difference actually came down to price. Both would have done an excellent job, but Griffith's did agree to "wrap" three small windows where we had previously used replacement windows at no cost to me. If I had gone with grids in the windows, Griffith's prices on that were much lower too than any other bidder. I did not go with grids, so it would not have been an issue. Both Suttons and Griffiths spoke well of each other and their work. I would not hesitate to use either company for roofing, siding or replacement windows. The order for the replacement windows has been placed and need to be made. They should be ready for installation about mid-July so I should be able to give a complete analysis of their product and their service. Work has not actually been done at this point, but I have seen the product, and have their assurance that they will do a quality installation. Vivian F. Kinsel

Went very well. Representative was knowledgeable and professional. Estimate came in35% higher than others for same scope of work.

An estimate to repair was given and then the work was performed at the estimated price. The roofer was very nice. My only complaint was that the office was supposed to contact once the work was scheduled and they did not. The roofer just showed up last Friday but that worked out fine for us.

Sutton's cost was quite a bit higher than the other company that I went with. Sutton's were very friendly, responsive, and appeared to be honest. I decided on the other company due to cost. I would not have a problem calling Sutton's to get an estimate in the future.

4/21/2014: I contacted Sutton to discuss the repair that they had made on 5/292013 and the fact that the roof vent was leaking again into our kitchen. (Roof on the home is less than 4 years old). When the receptionist looked up my information, she could not find the correct documentation and told me that in their notes a bathroom exhaust was temporarily fixed. I told her that we paid for a kitchen exhaust vent to be installed. She said that she would contact the worker who made the repair and he would call me after lunch. After almost four hours I had not received a call. I contacted Sutton again and spoke to the same receptionist. She had found the correct documentation of the repair and spoke with the worker. She told me the worker said that an exhaust vent would not be under warranty and that they could look at the issue but we would be charged for all work again. She was extremely rude and unprofessional with me. I told her I was surprised that in less than a year we have had another issue after I was assured when then work was done that the new vent and repair would prevent leaks for a long time. She told me "caulking doesn't last forever" and that it was a bad winter. I told her that I was frustrated that no one called me and at her unprofessionalism and that we would take our business elsewhere. 5/29/2013: I called to request someone to look at our roof to find a leak. Within a few hours of placing the call to Sutton, the workers were at my home to look at the problem. As suspected, the exhaust cover on the roof was leaking. They brought the cover down to show me the problem and where the leak was coming from. They covered the roof with metal to protect it overnight and said that they would get the new vent and replace it the next day. The next morning I received a call from Sutton stating that they indeed were going to replace the vent and gave me the quote for the work. The men came within a few hours and the work was completed in about 30 mins. The man was nice enough to mention that our gutters were quite full of leaves and he pushed some out of the way to get the water moving. He also said that one gutter was sagging and how we could easily fix it. It was nice that he gave us feedback regarding our gutters! The workers were very nice, pleasant, professional and helpful! Very pleased with their work.

I called them to come out to look at and give me an estimate for repairing & replacing sub-floor, floor and carpeting after we had water damage. Since it was covered by insurance, the woman they sent out wanted me to sign a paper saying they had full sole rights to go to my insurance company to "negotiate" the amounts. I wouldn't sign it the day she came, nor did I mail it to her right away because I wanted to get at least 3 estimates. She said she would get me an estimate within a few days as she'd have to have one of their male staff come and go under our home to check what would be needed to repair for the estimate. I waited, no call, no e-mail, nothing. I called her and she said the man didn't make it out but would be there the following Monday. Still nothing from her or the company after a few days. I called and couldn't get through to her. So, I left a message that I figure they didn't want my job because they still hadn't provided an estimate and not to bother. No-one should not have to beg a company for an estimate. I wound up having Lowe's do the work. Their contractor did an excellent job. A year later and I am still quite happy with all the additional work I had the contractor do. A friend liked my new flooring so much she had the contractor do the flooring in her home. To this day, I think the Sutton's rep wouldn't give me an estimate because I wouldn't sign the paper letting them have carte blanche with my insurance company. Otherwise why pass up a job they don't have to worry about getting paid for. It really was disappointing as they came highly recommended from a friend.
