JNJ Heating & Air Conditioning

Everything went as promised. We used one of the AL deals to do the basic inspection. We have been burned in the past with other companies by these with a lot of added costs that were not well communicated up front. In this case the cost was just the cost of the deal and the cost of the refrigerant because it was a bit low in one unit. Everything was done on time and met all expectations.

Ed, showed up on time and provided a quote for a furnace replacement which I will be considering among a few others I am getting.

My air conditioner went out on one of the hottest days of the year so far. I called their emergency number, and got a return call within 10 minutes and a follow-up call within an hour scheduling an inspection. Jason came out, quickly determined that the compressor had gone bad (this was a very old unit), and went over all the options with me. He was even able to fit me in to have a new unit installed the next day. Chad came out the next day, installed the new unit, and made some other minor repairs. Very friendly, very responsive, and very helpful.

I ordered an Inspection, Cleaning & Tune-up of my central A/C unit for $55. In my order, I noted that my A/C unit pipes are freezing, and that it doesn't cool my house well. It works for a while, then the performance degrades. I believe there is a problem, but according to the internet, it could be low Freon, or just dirty evaporator fans. I thought an inspection would diagnose the issue, and then I would pay more for repairs (i.e. more Freon, other repairs if needed). The company read my note, and told me that since I have a problem, the visit is a "diagnostic", which is $75. To me, the word "diagnostic" means the same as an inspection, so I don't understand why the price jumped $20. I said this in a message in Angie's list, and got no reply. At that point I decided to get a refund. Just not a good feeling with the first communication.

They made the repairs. Were here and gone in about an hour.

Jason was a big help with making our utility room more functional. Very happy with all they have done.

It was good. The guy showed up on time and checked the furnace and it was good.

Completely unethical. Asked for furnace tune-up and some duct work repair. He didn't do cleaning at appointment and left so I'd have to send him back to do "all at once". Quoted the repair work at 3 hours and $650 but when I asked to use his "big deal" coupon for 2 hours of work at $119 plus their hourly rate of $75 plus the $150-$175 in materials the time frame changed to four hours and price became $600, which is nice, but not accurate. When I questioned the math and that with the extra hour he added in the total should be $119+$150+$150= $419-$450. Then he hung up on me.

It went as expected. Made us aware of a potential problem down the road. Will use again.

They installed a new furnace when they said they would and for the price quoted.

They were very nice and prompt with contacting us. They told us the deal we purchased would not cover what we needed.

It went great. Called back promptly, called ahead to say they would be here ahead of the estimated time because other jobs had gone quickly. Jesse did a great job, explained what was malfunctioning and answered all of my questions. I couldn't be happier.

I purchased the furnace service through an Angie's List Big Deal. Communication with the provider through the website was very quick and friendly. A small scheduling problem was addressed early and resolved right away without any problems. The tech called ahead of time and arrived early. He was very friendly and was able to answer all my questions and also showed me some possible issues I may have in the future. All work was completed in about an hour. I am pleased.

Jessie was delayed somewhat due to traffic. He phoned me beforehand to let me know which I greatly appreciated. He was very knowledgeable about boilers and did a very thorough job, explaining exactly what he was doing. The quality and professionalism was much higher than the companies I've used in the past. I would definitely use this company again and request Jessie again.

The 2nd day he finished maintenance service the furnace stopped working, it turned out that the board was burned. It might be due to the age of the furnace or something nobody really knows. I called JNJ and they came pretty quickly and was able to offer to fix it for free.

It was fast, through with additional cost requirements, possibly accurate, but not completely what coupon advertised.

It was adequate but I wouldn't say it was anything great. They came out and did the service within a couple of days after I called them. That part was good. There were quite a few extra charges beyond the big deal amount. They added Freon but they didn't tell me how much it was going to cost. When I got the bill it was almost like $100 extra. So instead of it being $55 it was $155. That's where I'm saying it was just adequate because I was disappointed they didn't tell me upfront what it would cost to have additional Freon added. This was the first time I used the company and the only reason I used them was because they showed up on Angie's list. It was two brothers, one didn't know what he was doing. He was just basically there to help his brother. Nothing really stands out. I was just disappointed. They came in, cleaned the air conditioner itself, they added the Freon and they left. For the initial price to have it cleaned I would rate them "B" but on the overall pricing I wouldn't know because I don't know what the Freon costs. They didn't clean after themselves.

Chad, I believe that was his name, quickly found the problem, a drain pipe for the excess water had come undone. Chad quickly repaired that and asked me to turn on the AC to see if that had fixed the problem. To me it seemed to still be dripping water, but Chad told me it was probably water left in the system from when the pipe was still loose. I was skeptical, but he was right, as it did stop leaking after a couple days and now it is fine.

The overall process went very well, it was a standard AC clean and check. The tech was on time, friendly and did a good job. The only minor issue was he did not have the footie's and going in and out and on the new carpet created some angst. There was no damage but my wife had to follow him to make sure he wiped his feet as he went in and out. Just some friendly advise, they may want to buy the footie's to go over the tech shoe's or at least have them available.

They are really outstanding. We have saved so much money on bills. Our heating bill used to run about $450 in the winter and an equal about $400 in the summer, and our highest bill was a $160 this winter. So, when I call they are out within a few hours. They always returns phone calls. I am very happy with them. We had a bad fire at our house. So, that is why we end up having a new system put in. For what we got, no one wants to have that much money, but I would still say that we have saved thousands of dollars in what would have been our cost to heat and air condition. We got Evolution System through Bryant and for what it does it sends it's temperature around the house. It doesn't matter what day of the week it is. They respond within hours.

It went very well. Chad was very courteous when he came to the door. He was able to locate another issue that he was able to take care of. Everything went well with that. He was very explanatory and informative.

As a result of the lack of professionalism I will neither use or refer this firm.

I contacted JNJ heating and air when I could not get my air conditioning unit to turn on. Chad came out the next day, he was right on time. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and found the problem immediately. He also added freon to the unit. Chad told me the price upfront, and explained other unrelated issues. I was extremely impressed with JNJ, and will definitely use them again.

He did a great job and his work was quality work and I would recommend him to anyone. He came in recognized the problem and repaired the issue.

I talked to another contractor that couldn't figure it out. He came out and looked at my situation and realized what was wrong. He knew that I was kind of limited on funds right now so he fixed it until spring when I can afford to hire him on. He saved me a ton of money. I will be hiring him in the spring to do the full job. He was the only one that could figure out what my situation was and he is an amazing guy. He is very, very trustworthy. He didn't charge for the fix he did and he is going to come out in the spring and do the full repairs. I had no dislikes whatsoever. He was extremely honest and very knowledgeable. He actually sat down and looked at my utility bills with me to help me figure out what it could possibly be. He was very prompt. He is also going to give me a quote on another job in the spring on another area in the house so I am excited about that. I feel really comfortable now having someone that knows my system and that I can trust.
