JNJ Heating & Air Conditioning

I might be getting tricked by this place and they are playing an elaborate prank on me. I am a VIP member of their service, so quarterly I get some free services done. Been with them for more than 5 years. It all starts with a technician doing a routine service on my furnace. The say the drip plate needs replacing. Ok, so they say they will order the parts. Months go by, I hear nothing. I email asking to do the work. Again nothing. I move on. Fast forward to new quarterly service. New tech says "oh no the drip plate doesn't need service, you need a deep clean." Ok $500 later I have a clean furnace. Summer comes around. Record heat. The furnace makes a jet engine noise, super loud! The fan in the furnace is obviously wrong. I make an appointment. Wait around all day. They call, "Oh sorry we can't actually make it today." Great, ok, well then come tomorrow. They do. They say that some belt was off or something. They fix it, under warranty of course, so no cost to me. But still Two weeks go by, now its RECORD heat mid-June 2022. We start to hear a GRINDING like a jack hammer from the furnace. We turn off the AC. So we have no AC mid-summer. They come by. The tech says another screw was loose and caused the blower wheel to grind and get stuck, thus blowing the blower motor. Ok...so they have to order the parts on Friday. "They'll be in early next week." Monday....Tuesday....Wednesday....oh the parts are in! Yay!! Appointment gets booked for the morning. I stay home from work......annnnd they come at 5:30 pm. Great. Two techs this time. They come by look around for a while, take things apart. Then they ask me, who came and fixed it last time, what did he look like. So now I am trying to describe a 20-something guy with a star wars tattoo that was in my 100 degree house last Friday. Long story short, the tech says that t he first tech did not say the motor was blown! I said "well I kind of remember him saying that." So new-tech looks up the notes. He reads his ipad and lo and behold, the first tech DID say the motor was blown, but new-tech FORGOT TO GRAB THE PART FROM THE OFFICE. He apologizes, says he'll get me on the schedule for tomorrow. Great. Ok. I get a call from their office saying "Your on for tomorrow." Cool. I take ANOTHER day off work. I call 8 am the next day to ask where I am in the schedule so I can, ya know, do things. I AM NOT ON THE SCHEDULE!! Well now this is getting a little irritating. So I kind of yell at them. They say ok, we will get you on the schedule for today. They call and let me know that the tech will be there between 10 - 11 am today. I am not hopeful.

They are pretty good. The rates were fair and I am satisfied.

It went fine. He said he was replacing capacitors all day. Other guys never returned calls or bothered to show up after making appointment.

Installed a new central AC, Heater, and blower system in July 2016. Excellent service via email, phone calls, initial quote, delivered and installed on time within scope, very friendly technicians. Dec 2016 hearing a metallic squeaky sound only when the heater runs. Called JNJ and they were able to get out next day to check things out. Turns out the gas meter is causing the squeaking, sound occurs because of the volume of gas being drawn by heater. Technician did a system heck while he was onsite. 110% effort from these folks every time I've worked with them. Definitely recommend using them again.

We had a wonderful technician. They identified the problem with a specific valve that adds water to the system. They took the time to figure it out and changed out the valve. They also rerouted some of the piping so it works more efficiently and bled the whole system.

My furnace wasn't working. I was checking it before the cold weather really set in and before I had a chance to schedule someone to come out and do a winter check. I called a little before 9 in the morning and the technician showed up before 10:00. He repaired the furnace, just needed cleaning. I appreciated his honesty about that being all that was needed. My furnace is old and it wouldn't have been hard for him to convince me I needed a new one. At my request, he replaced the thermostat- my old one didn't have fan only setting. Josh was very professional and explained how the new thermostat worked. He made sure to test both the air conditioning and heat settings. I will be scheduling a complete duct cleaning in the next couple weeks. I would definitely recommend them to others. They will be my go to heating and air conditioning provider.

I scheduled an appointment for Jason to arrive at my house to look over some duct work I wanted to complete. I was also interested in Aerosole to be sprayed into the ductwork. Jason was punctual. He studied the ductwork and drew a sketch. I explained I wanted two additional vents added to the first floor. I had a humidifier I wanted attached to the furnace. I wanted the remaining ductwork in the basement to be closed. I wanted the ducts to be cleaned. I wanted his company to provide Aerosole to be sprayed in to the ductwork. I asked for a quote. He gave me an approximate verbal dollar amount for duct cleaning and Aerosole. He explained he was going out of town the following week. He would send a quote to me the week he got back. I did not get the quote. I telephoned Jason. I did not receive a response. I waited another week and e-mailed Jason. Still no quote and no response. If he was too busy to do the work perhaps a referral to a different company would have been the professional thing to do. But why waste my time and his if he was not interested? I have since contracted with another company to have both the ductwork added, cleaned, closed and Aerosole sprayed.

Came our right away, found out what was wrong and fixed it right it away. Very prompt on emergency services.

This company, and its owner, Jason, is everything you would want in a Heating & Air company. Like so many, I have many nightmare stories about being overcharged, taken advantage of, etc. JNJ is FANTASTIC. Jason is professional, yet warm, and I really felt good about him overall as a person. He gave me a great deal, and even helped me secure some rebates from both the utilities and Bryant. Just top-notch. Jason's crew of three were friendly, professional, quiet, neat, prompt, and did an amazing job in a tight space in a matter of hours. Jason then returned and checked the job. Just an outstanding & trustworthy service company. I will be recommending! My days of worrying about who will show up are over!

went well..only thing very minor .. used our garden hose to clean . not a problem but did not put back in way he found it.

Provider was having a special and I called for them to come out and clean my AC. They sent a person named Chad. He checked my AC and informed me it was out of refrigerant and it must have a leak. He also told me it would take 6-7 units of refrigerant just to get the unit running again and it made more sense for me to get a new AC. I almost went ahead but something about him made me hesitate and get a second opinion. It turns out my AC does not hold that much refrigerant and that the size of the new AC he quoted me was really too large for my house. He took the $50.00 check for the cleaning that he did not do. I called someone else. He fixed the leak, cleaned the unit and filled the refrigerant for a total of $260.00 instead of replacing the unit. My AC is still working over a year later. The part that annoyed me most was the fact that he took the check and did not clean my AC. All he did was give me a quote for a new AC.

It was an angie's big deal. It was an AC special for annual maintenance and cleaning. He did a great job- was on time, friendly, courteous and provided me with good information on my system . He was also able to fix a smell that I had coming through my vents as a cover was missing from my furnace system and he re positioned it.

They did not check out the upstairs main unit. They only checked the outside unit. They would only check the other unit if we paid more.

bought the 2 hr labor deal. When I called to schedule they indicated what I needed would take a little long, I didn't have a problem with that. When I got the final bill however it was $300 in addition to the 2 hours I already purchased. They charged $150 in parts for 2 little things that I found on Amazon for $25. I realize every contractor marks up prices but that ridiculous. Also they don't seem to charge for portions of an hour. 30 min more gets billed as a full hour. And finally when the did the work on the compressor something got sprayed on my siding and left an oily residue which looks like crap and I can't clean off.

Excellent, showed up on time, did the job quickly, good workmanship, solved the mold problem in my house, answers questions.

This review is mixed because the technician was great. He arrived on time, and I had questions in regards to thermostat, heat runs and a new furnace. He went thru everything and even tried to schedule a sales call for later that day, I was unavailable so he passed on my info to his boss. Then his work cleaning the furnace was good and I feel honest. So this part I would review an A its the sales that is an F. I never heard from the sales department, so I emailed thru Angie's List for a quote, no response. I then tried thru their web-site, I got a response that someone would be in touch later in the week and again never heard back. I tried one final email but again no response so I gave up.
