Description of Work: I was looking for someone to redo a staircase and banister off of my existing kitchen which I was renovating. I was also adding new hardwood floors and needed the woodwork to match the flooring. Adrian from Splash Carpentry exceeded my expectations! He is a true master carpenter! His craftsmanship is amazing. The staircase design he came up with made it a focal point in my renovation. The woodwork detail is stunning and he somehow managed to match the flooring as well. He made suggestions and I felt very comfortable following his recommendations. He and his crew were quick and efficient and always tidied up after each day. I love my staircase and banister!!!

Description of Work: The Contractor did not perform any work. Scheduling them was impossible. I contacted them with dates available and the work that needed to be done using the Angie List form. The dates I gave were over a three week period. For what I prepaid I was not planning a big job, just replacing some thresholds at the top of the stairs and interior bedroom entry doors. I explained the service need in the form. I received a response through Angie's List messaging that someone would contact me. After 5 weeks no one did. When I contacted them again through Angie's List messaging I got another message stating the contractor had a baby and was behind in scheduling but would contact me. I received a voicemail from the contractor shortly after that seeking to understand what I needed done so we could schedule service. At this point I had elder parent health issues to deal with resulting in the loss of 2 parents and a beloved aunt over 3-1/2 months. I was not willing to play "tag your it" in order to try to schedule the service and quite frankly had other priorities to deal with. There was no attempt by the Contractor to contact me again. By this time the prepaid voucher "expired". No refund. |I found a different professional who not only fixed the thresholds but remodel our kitchen. |

Description of Work: I highly recommend Splash Carpentry for many reasons. I have several bids for this huge project in my 16,000 sf house. Everyone wanted to participate in this bid due to the bid project and more money involved. After narrowing down on the bids, I finally selected Splash Carpentry to do my 16,000sf. I wanted a professional that will give my house the quality and the integrity that portrays in the house. Adrian, the head of the company, not only he is very professional and talented, but he also kept his promises. This is hard to come by when you deal with contractors or the construction business. I based my decision on who can give me the best Value for my bucks. And Splash Carpentry was the best investment I have done for my 16,000sf house. The results were fantastic and the ease of production was priceless. I did not have any head aches or delay. Splash carpentry not only did some custom molding for my wooden library, the custom shelves to match my existing cherry wood library, but also he builds my stairways to my penthouse with exceptional quality wrought iron balusters. I told him to take pictures to put in his website. Splash Carpentry price is reasonable for the quality and exceptional results that comes with it. The most important thing is that Adrian and his crew are very sincere and honest. They will tell you as it is. If they can do it or not and they even recommend other companies to do the job if they cannot do them. Another important point is that I like the way they do business and giving me estimates upfront so there are no surprises!!! I am from Vienna, Virginia and I got the whole crew coming down for 2 weeks in a row to do my big project. It's well worth the effort and research!! Description of Work: I had the pleasure of working with Andrew and Vasi from the Splash Carpentry Team. From Day One, they have been nothing but professional and courteous. I recently bought a home that needed major updating. From the first day I met them, they were very excited to perform the work on my house. They had a lot of great ideas that have been implemented in my home. Thanks to them I now have the dream home that I had always wanted! We had our kitchen completely updated: including new cabinets, laser-aligned recessed lights, tile backsplash installation, all the electrical work, framing. They also widening the opening between the kitchen and dining room - awesome look! Also installed a kitchen island complete with pendant lights. We also had our entire first floor, stairway, and second floor hallway redone with hardwood flooring. They helped save money by salvaging the little hardwood floor that was already there (in the kitchen) and were able to MATCH the wood in the other rooms. If you walk into the house now, you can't even tell which had the "old" hardwood floor vs. the new floors. Awesome! They also created an opening between my family room and living room. And installed french doors, as well. Opening up the space and creating a great flow from room to room. Andrew and Vasi were even willing to take on a last minute request for laser-aligned recessed lighting in the living room and family room. As a bonus, they updated my outlets and installed dimmers for both rooms, too. The team also finished our basement. It used to be just concrete, but now it's a beautiful space complete with beautiful vinyl flooring and stairs. It doesn't even seem like a basement! Lastly (but not least), the team also updated our first floor powder room. Installed vanity, toilet, and new tile on floor. Also repaired the floor that had a leaky toilet for the last 15 years (yuck!).

Description of Work: Adrian and his crew built a pergola from scratch after showing him some pictures of what I envisioned for the design. He also did the carpentry work for the outdoor kitchen that was added later. It turned out fantastic and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Description of Work: I always wanted to have the floor done in my apartment in Lakeview with a special wood and I was wondering who will be the right person to do that. Well one of my friends recommended Adrian from SplashCarpentry. I trusted them and I hired Adrian who suggested for my apartment Brazilian Cherry wood. All I can say is that I am very pleased with the service and the execution of the project. The job was done in timely manner and the crew was very careful with the installation of the floor and the shoe store shelves in my little closet which by the way, was custom made.

Description of Work: I had carpet removed and hardwood flooring retrofitted in place. On the lower level of my home I had Hardwood flooring in two room and carpet in the others. Adrian and his team, removed the carpet and installed the hardwood flooring and it looks as if it all was install at the same time.

He shimmed the original narrow stair treads, which were not level after so many years, adding much deeper treads that significantly improved footing. Everything was fastened and re-joined so well our squeaky stairwell became solid as a rock. Splash Carpentry not only corrected some serious problems, Adrian made design/materials suggestions that gave us both a beautiful result and helped maximize value.

Description of Work: The team @ Splash Carpentry was awesome. When they said they will be here @ 6:00 in the morning, they mean it! I had splash finish the base moulding and built a custom staircase in the Prairie craftsman style for our finished basement. All I did was show Adrian a picture of what I wanted, and he made it even better than the pic. Also I had some custom moulding in my office that he reproduced better than the pic. I will definetly call them again when we build our new house.
