Everything from beginning to end was such a breeze with splash carpentry. It all went like clock work very smooth. They finished the job when planned on and came when they said they would. Splash carpentry answers your phone call when most don't even call you back.

Splash Carpentry did amazing work. I am was so pleased with the talent of the carpentry and woodwork throughout the house. The wainscoting is gorgeous, and staircase is very elegant. Adrian and his team are professional and perfectionists with their work. I would highly recommend them. Reasonably priced for the quality of the product. On November 14, my wife and I contracted with Adrian Andercau of Splash Carpentry to replace a stairway in our home. Upon first meeting Adrian, we were immediately impressed with his woodworking expertise. The project was started three days later. The stairway was completed proficiently and with efficiency. We are extremely pleased with the result. Their original estimate was the lowest we received, which makes the choice of Splash Carpentry and the result of their work even more rewarding.

The Splash team was great. They needed to move some furniture and laid down protective blankets all around the work area. The job was completed in less than a day. It looks great and I swear they left my house cleaner than when they arrived. I would hire again and can offer my highest recommendation for them -- you will be thrilled.

Adrian's teams did a beautiful job on several big projects around our home. They are excellent craftsman who were willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy.

Project turned out great - extremely happy with the result as well the efficiency of project delivery. We had never done a rip and replace of a banister before and only found out through getting many quotes that there a lot of different approaches. Initial quote by pictures via email was a little surprising at first, until another contractor did it the same way, but I soon realized it's because Adrian has done a lot of these projects which put us at ease. The fact that he came in more competitive than any one else with a complete walk though prior to hire further put us at ease. Would recommend Splash to anyone thinking of a banister project.

Adrian and his crew are extremely professional, on time and mindful of your homes cleanliness. We had wainscotting installed, floor to ceiling, in our dining room (photos on their site). Adrian consulted on design that would best fit the room and age of the home. It was brilliant. The craftsmanship is impeccable. It took a couple of days longer than expected but they made sure to let us know...and we didn't mind because we could see the care they were taking to make it just right. We'll work with Splash again.

It went great! It was a huge job but Adrian's craftsmanship is unquestionably impeccable, and the level of customer service was really top notch. Everyone compliments us on his work, especially staircase. The painter (Beauty and The Brush) kept reporting back on the intricate woodwork the Splash team was doing. Adrian worked very easily with the other vendors we had doing work on the house and was also kind enough to send regular pictures and email updates of the progress, which was a huge relief since we had all the work done before we moved in. His communication, timeline and staying on budget were all great. They cleaned up regularly and protected all surfaces. They are located up in the near north suburbs, which is actually very close to where we were living at the time, and he was willing to travel all the way to the new house in Frankfort. I'm so glad I took a chance and emailed him to see if he was interested in the job. It worked out nicely because a few times he stopped by our current house to show us samples of crown molding and to pick up a check, etc. He's so nice I even gave him a hug when it was all over. We were leery at first when we saw reviews stating that customers had to purchase doors separately from Splash's recommended vendor, Darpet. Darpet had some weird reviews on yelp and due to the fact that we needed to complete all work on time in order to move in, the reviews of Darpet made us nervous. In the end, Adrian gave us an exact list of what to order from Darpet, he took delivery of it all and transported it to the house for us. Darpet was fine to deal with, but note they have limited business hours so be sure to plan ahead to submit your order. Even though we added the huge job of the stairs partway through, they ended up finishing up very close to the original estimated time frame, which did not include the stairs. All in all I'd say we are thoroughly pleased with Splash. It was a relief to not have to coordinate multiple vendors for each separate job- and to have it all turn out so impressively is the icing on the cake. We'd use them again in a heartbeat.

It was excellent and were prompt. They came out and made some great suggestions. They were great with communicating with me. The finished product is unbelievable. Every time they come to deliver my project I have hired them again for my next project. I currently am waiting for handrails to be delivered.

Adrian and his teams were excellent! We've used a number of contractors over the year and never have we encountered one so attentive and excited to work with us and "get things right". The project lasted close to 4 weeks and a couple of minor changes were added throughout the work as we saw things shaping up. Adrian was very involved with the crew and reached out to us almost daily with status updates, key questions, and estimates for progress. There were a couple of times where Adrian was a bit more optimistic about what would get done by a certain time than what actually got completed, but the quality of work was solid and Adrian made it a point to always err on the side of doing something "right" as opposed to doing it fast or shoddily. Throughout the project, Adrian would often make suggestions for ways to improve the original plan and often made the adjustments at no additional cost. The crew staged most of the work from our garage and made extra efforts to ensure the home was livable at the end of each day. We were extremely happy to work with Adrian and his crew and are enjoying the fruits of their labor. They were easy to work with, respectful, and happy to meet our requests throughout the project. We would highly recommend Splash & Adrian and will almost certainly use them again for future projects.

I will start out admitting that I am a very particular customer. I hire experts to do the work but oversee and want to understand the all the minutia of every phase of a home project. Over a 6 month period I met with a number of professionals to work on this project. My wife and I both agreed that Adrian stood out the clear choice not only to tackle but to trust with this project and our home. Adrian was always open and honest about our options, did not try and pressure us to doing more than we were asking for and gave honest and constructive opinions when we asked for his advice or expertise. Adrian, Matthew and John were the main points of contact for this major home remodel. Adrian worked on the staircases, Matthew did all the flooring and John performed the finish carpentry work. I can honestly say they are a lot more than just carpenters... They are true craftsmen and became trusted confidants about the work they were performing. All of them were excellent to work with and not only listened but went out of their way to address any of our concerns to make sure we were comfortable with how the project was progressing. They were extremely responsive. They either answered the phone when I called or if I left a message the call was always returned promptly The project changed throughout the course of the initial estimate. Adrian was extremely prompt in providing us with adjusted quotes and options to help us make quick decisions to keep the entire project moving forward. His estimates for each phase of the project were always accurate and never went beyond what was outlined in our contract. Adrian also readily provided proof of insurance prior to starting this project, which I have never had another contractor offer to do. It helped us understand quickly that we were dealing with true professionals. . We are very pleased with the finished product and I would and will be working with Splash Carpentry in the future.

Bought a special for handyman labor for a fence repair. George who came out was an absolutely great guy and knew his carpentry. He fixed the post, and then reinforced all the joints on the fence with brackets, and created a step for our dog to get into the house. We had nothing to worry about, and George was kind enough to explain to my wife what was happening each step of the way. They handled everything once they arrived and delivered what was expected a seamless, effortless service only needing initial direction. Absolutely would use them again for any carpentry services needed.

I met with Adrian on a Saturday, and he started working in our house a week later. Six years ago, we purchased a 1978 brick colonial and have updated almost everything in the home, therefore working with several contractors. Adrian and his team have proved to be a favorite. He employs very smart, hardworking guys who show up on time each morning and leave each day at the time we established at the start of the project. They even worked Saturdays, when convenient for us, to get the job done on time. Adrian does much of the woodworking and initial spraying and staining in his shop, which alleviates time and mess in our house. His team was also good about vacuuming each day before they left my home. Of course with the work I had done, there was a lot of dust, but I feel that they did a good job of helping to keep it to a minimum. All of the woodwork is beautiful. I finally have nice, tall baseboards and beautiful thick trim around all of my doors. They installed and painted everything. Our stairs are gorgeous. We really could not be happier with how it all turned out. The wainscoting is very detailed and so well done. Of course there were some misses with such a large project, but Adrian was very conscientious about walking through on his visits and did a final punch list with me at the end of all of the projects. He made sure we were very happy with everything before even discussing the final payment. I feel like there was good communication and respect for my comfort throughout the process. We opted for plank tiles to be installed in a herringbone pattern in our foyer - not an easy install - and the men he works with for tiling also did an excellent job. It looks perfect. There were a couple minor hiccups with the staining of our floors, but it was resolved very quickly and we are so happy with the outcome. He also thinks of the little things, like making custom thresholds for doorways as needed. I have already recommended Splash Carpentry to friends.

Adrian and his team are really great to work with. Initial communication and ballpark estimate was with Adrian over email. I described the job and sent pictures, and then he was able to answer my questions and provide a rough estimate for cost and timeline. Then he sent out Matthew and John for 20 min to inspect the job, discuss details, and confirm the estimate. Once I agreed, Adrian promptly sent a contract and we scheduled the work to start later in the week. Our stairs desperately needed a fresh look as they had old worn stain under a carpet runner and lots of caked paint on the risers, stringers, and shoe base along the wall. Also, our stairs have some turns at the top and bottom and the railings were not connected. Not only did it not look very nice, it also wasn't to code. Matthew and his team showed up promptly the first day. They were quick and efficient, and Matthew was a great help to pick the stain based on a couple sample spots he had done. Refinishing the treads took 3 days and Matthew was always very helpful throughout his part of the project to answer my questions. He is a really nice guy and clearly very experienced with the different products, application methods, and what works for different kinds of wood and different conditions. I could tell he really knew what he was doing and the end product looks amazing! John showed up half-way through the project to work on the risers, stringers, shoe base, and installing the railing. He did a lot of sanding and patching before painting, probably more than he anticipated, but now they look like new! And the new railing is one beautiful continuous railing that follows the turns at the top and bottom. John is a very skilled craftsman because there were a lot of angles and cuts, but they fit together perfectly. Overall, we are very pleased with the end result and would definitely hire Adrian and his team again for future projects. We only wish we had done this project sooner because everything looks so nice!

The entire team was very helpful and knowledgeable. Kitchen cabinets are stunning and went in fast! The custom window trim needed due to the new windows look like it's always been there. Super rich and beautiful finish! Finishing the large open basement (framing) for new rooms went fast and just as described in the plans. The 2000sf of bamboo flooring on the main level is stunning and beautiful. They took the time to bevel the edges and make custom thresholds. Absolutely top quality work! They always showed up on time and got everything done in an efficient, professional, timely manner. Will work with them again for sure and highly recommend!

Adrian and his crew are amazing. They show up early, work late and take incredible pride in their work. I still can't believe how quickly they completed the job. They literally transformed our main level by building a coffered ceiling and installing wainscoting, bead boarding and crown molding - all in 8 days. Incredible. Adrian was great to work with. He did a great job explaining the job and was very accommodating in answering any questions and in meeting with us (both before, during and after the job). Adrian also made great suggestions and provided his opinion on what would work best. We valued and trusted his opinion and have amazing updates as a result. We can't wait to have Adrian and company back!!

Adrian and the crew at Splash carpentry are the best in the business. Not only is their carpentry work top notch, but most importantly Adrian is an excellent project manager and the reason his business stands out is his communication skills. I previously had Adrian do a significant amount of work at my house and decided to hire him as an investor for a complete gut rehab of a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom single family home. He performed the majority of the work and had great contacts for subcontractors for work such as electrical, new window installation, and exterior brick work. Adrian is really creative and his custom carpentry is second to none. I've attached some before and after pictures to the review. See for yourself. I plan to continue working with Adrian as an investor because I value his communication and project management skills more than anything else.
