Description of Work: Install Banisters

Description of Work: Vendor was unwilling/unable to work with my unusual closets, because my closets are in the attic and are on an angle. A communication barrier hindered the relationship, initially, as the man who was sent over was more interested in my stairs than my closets! (Turns out Splash specializes in stairs!) A partner company was called upon to help out with communication, and he was great. He will likely complete a different project for me down the line but my closets were unable to get completed by Splash so I want to return the Big Deal. I feel that if Splash's owner, Adrian, would have just come by himself then we would have been better off. I am due to give labor any time now so the rush hindered him from coming by directly. It is what it is.

Description of Work: I e-mailed and called Splash to find if the could handle the project I had in mind. They did indicate that they could, I purchased the coupon as I already had an estimate for the job and wanted to compare prices. Splash estimate was double any other estimate received, Job description - tile an 10 X 10 room, remove drywall from one wall, add 2 X 2 to existing wall, insulate drywall and paint

Description of Work: Triple the price of other vendors.

Description of Work: It just didn't work out w/provider. He wants to do pre-service online and I couldn't provide pictures of where work was to be done, online.(I'm just not good at downloading pictures) I was going to be charged more if he was to come over to the house to see the stairs and a ridiculous price for 10 extra balusters.

Description of Work: Adrian from Splash Carpentry talked to us via email and phone. He was very nice and knowledgeable. We have a single-family home, plus an investment property where my sister lives. Both houses have several small project needs. Adrian seems very talented and flexible, but our projects are too small for the amount of money and time we were quoted. The Big Deal was $299 for 8 hours of labor, excluding materials. For the initial project we asked about, building/installing rails on a front porch, we were quoted an additional $900 including materials. This ended up being 4 times as much as the provider we hired (and that provider also did a great job). We had other projects in mind, but they would have required Adrian to come out and look in more detail to quote us, and I didn't want to waste his time if the cost would be way more than we could get with the other servicers we have hired. If I ever need a fancier, bigger project, I would keep Adrian/Splash Carpentry in mind, but for handyman carpentry, this Big Deal just didn't work out for us. I will still give good marks to Splash and continue using Angie's List. Thanks.

Description of Work: The carpenter came and when I showed him the job I wanted done he was very nice, and told me it is a job for a handyman, not a carpenter. I will use hime if I have a bigger project.

Description of Work: We had some crown moulding and some base boards installed in a bedroom at our condo. They where excellent! They made the whole process so easy. They picked up the supplies for us, installed, and painted everything within 4 hours. True professionals! We will be using them again for future projects.

Description of Work: Purchased a Big Deal coupon and used it for front door/storm door installation. They were on time, very clean, and extremely patient with my old off centered non-squared house. The scope of the work was way beyond the value of the Big Deal and Adrian was very reasonable with the cost of overage ($140 for an additional 6 hours of work).

Description of Work: I had 485 square feet of flooring refinished. They performed the job in two days, moving furniture to one side the first day, and to the other side on the second day. Because I used a more expensive, low fume finishing, I was able to sleep in my apartment while the floors were being done -plus the floors dried within a few hours. I was so impressed with the professionalism and quality of their work. They were punctual, worked quickly and on the second day were gone by 11AM. They left very little dust (used a special dust collecting system) and best of all my floors are beautiful!! I would not hesitate to use them again.

Description of Work: Andrew and company are extremely excellent craftsmen. Anyone would be very happy with any project they worked on.

Description of Work: The team of two drywalled the walls and created a knee wall for the basement staircase. They also installed risers on my open basement stairs. This project has made a big difference and has incorporated the lower level as part of our home. They worked hard, cleaned up after themselves and were very coureous.

Description of Work: Splash Carpentry, Adrian Andercau, completely replace all or stair and balcony railing in our home, 4 different areas. Adrian matched our hardwood floor better than the original builder of our home! He provided all solid Red Oak posts and an excellent profiled railing. He also provided SOLID wrought iron balusters with birdnest and knuckled spoon design features.My wife was home for most of the work and Adrians professionalism and focus on doing the best job he can renewed our faith in hardworking americans! His work, attitude and professionalism was absolutely top notch! Our railings are SOLID and BEAUTIFUL.Great job Splash Carpentry!
