Mr. Floor Companies

We like our kitchen for the most part. But I was ultimately unhappy with the attitude I received when I called the project manager 3 times to have them fix a leak under the sink. I told them it was coming from the pipe connecting the dishwasher. The PM tried to fix it himself twice and told me he didn't want to bother the plumber if he didn't have to. When it leaked the third time, the plumber came out and told me I was right about the source of the leak. They also did not call the city to have the final inspection done, something I was left to do after the city sent me a threatening letter. We also called again after some settlement cracks appeared in the grout. 5 weeks after the project was finished, the manager claimed not to remember us. We also never heard from the designer again once the project started. I would have thought they'd want to see the final project. Lastly, they do NOT accept credit cards. This is a major inconvenience from a major company.

Superb work! These guys are class acts! Working with them got better as the project progressed! Their sales guy, Sam, was attentive and gave me great advice. He was on the ball and made sure that the company could hold the flooring I bought for almost two months. Their measurement and scheduling crew made and kept their appointments and kept in good touch with me and the installers. Part of the project involved wrapping the steps with the hardwood flooring, but the measurement guys didn't think it could be done. When the installer arrived, though, he figured it all out and did a great job. They were super resourceful in working with the building management and navigating the association rules. They cleaned up every day and left the work site in pristine condition. The work is absolutely beautiful!

I was happy because they were very professional, and I didn't have to have them back to fix anything. They also did a beautiful job. I got four different quotes before I decided, and their price was very competitive.

Mr Floor refinished the hardwood floor in the house prior to our moving in. The estimator gave us three options based on the areas that needed to be refinished. We decided to have them do the entire first floor. The floors had quite a bit of damage and we were delighted with the results. They also gave us recommendations for cleaning and on-going maintenance.

VERY unprofessional. They made such a mess that I had to pay $2,000 to repaint WHOLE place. I was told molding would get messed-up, but NEVER about stained walls & HUGE nicks on molding. They took a comparatively small amount off my bill for this, which is LAME. I shouldn't have had to paint my place at all. Moldings, perfect before instillation, were replaced in a shoddy fashion. Someone else had to fix the issue. They over charged me and only gave a refund when I complained. The owner sent a letter stating an agreed upon final amount. Once I paid that amount, they sent me another letter saying that I still owed them $275, DESPITE THE FACT THAT I PAID THE AGREED UPON AMOUNT IN THE LETTER FROM THE OWNER. They are continuing to HARASS me for this amount, despite the owners written word that I owed a particular amount ? WHICH I PAID. I had the floors re-done, by STANLEY FLOORING. They did a GREAT job. Moldings only got a little stained and I hardly had to do any repainting.

Over all the job was just OK. The sales person was great. However the project manager, Gregory was not very good. We had to continually call him for update. We had refinished floors installed, the installer did a so so job on the installation process. We had to have several pieces cut out and reinstalled as the installer damaged them as he was installing the new floor. There was not quality control, we had to point out all of the problems. Out Project manager should have found the mistakes and corrected them, instead it was left up to us. Plus our project manager would not listen to us, he would always start talking before we were finished.

They arrived on time and finished on time. They did a great job and I am extremely picky!

The rep was fantastic. They got back to me right away, followed up on appointments, called the day before to confirm and was here on time. I would highly recommend them.

He was efficient, concerned, and reasonable. He was always there when he said he would be. I have referred him to several people.

Almost 12 years ago we had Mr. Floor install hardwood flooring in about half of our 2100 sq. ft. condominium, including having to meet all of our building requirements. About 5 years later we had them install additional hardwood flooring in other areas of our unit, a job which required blending the new floor with the previous installation. The crew from Mr. Floor did a fabulous job both times. Igor and Felix were wonderful to deal with. A reference was good enough to let us see their work in advance which confirmed the deal even though they weren't the least expensive. Work started per the contract date and everything proceeded without a hitch. Best of all, the floors still look terrific after many years, what better recommendation can anyone give!

The refinished floor was not as smooth as we expected, and was especially rough near the edges. The trim work was very poorly done: bad fits, bad cuts, rough edges, etc. We had them come back 2-3 times to improve the work. They finally screen buffed the floor after the last recoat, and it was acceptable. They tried to improve the trim, but it still was sloppy. We were given a refund for the price of the trim work.

Went well, staff were very easy to work with and responsive to my concerns. Crew was very tidy.

Installers were prompt, professional, and the floors are beautiful. They did damage one of the baseboards, but replaced it at my request. I had to remind them about the cove molding, and at first they seemed like they weren't going to replace it. The only issue I had were some gouges in the new floor that were filled with putty and really didn't look right. They made two attempts to fix these and I am reasonably satisfied. The project manager also changed in the middle of the job (actually the 2nd one was better), so communication was somewhat lacking. The job took two weeks to complete, including the installation of the shoe base and cove molding. I had to point out a number of small items, but they were addressed. Overall I would recommend them.

Mr Floor was recommended to me by Tom Mordini, my general contractor on a remodel job. They did a great job overall and I am very pleased with the results. They were not the least expensive bid but they were highly recommended and the quality of the work was outstanding. I dealt with Sam, and he was easy to get in touch with and a pleasure to do business with. They would have gotten all A's except for a delay in finishing the basement stairs.

The job took over 16 months to complete. They had to rip out the first two baths that they had done and start over. Eventually they got an on site manager that was very good. But the overall experience soured me on the company. They do very good floor work.

The Mr. Floor crew that came to finish and repair our floor was clean and professional. I would hire Mr. Floor again no questions asked. Very first class.

This company was very professional in all aspects of the job performed. Everyone was great to deal with, from the sales person/estimator to the installers, and to the job supervisor. They worked very neatly. There was very little clean up to do. They did an excellent job and several of our neighbors have had them install hardwood floors after seeing ours.

THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND HAD MANY SAMPLES. THEY DID A PRETTY HARD SELL AND WERE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE TWO OTHER ESTIMATES I RECEIVED. I DON'T DOUBT THAT THEY DO QUALITY WORK, HOWEVER, AND I WOULD CONSIDER HIRING THEM IN THE FUTURE, BUT THEY WERE TOO EXPENSIVE SO WE WENT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

ALTHOUGH THEY STARTED OUT VERY FRIENDLY, THINGS QUICKLY PROGRESSED INTO THEM PUTTING US AT THE BOTTOM OF THEIR PRIORITY LIST. I HAD JUST FINISHED HAVING A SURGERY THAT HAD COMPLICATIONS AND I BELIEVE THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE FACT THAT WE WERE PREOCCUPIED. THEY NEVER FINISHED THE JOB COMPLETELY AND WE ARE STILL PAYING FOR THE WORK THEY DIDN'T COMPLETE. WHEN ASKED IF THEY WOULD BE BACK, THEY SAY THEY ARE DONE WITH THE JOB. I FEEL THEY WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
