The technicians arrived less than an hour after I called. The two technicians were polite and professional. Service was excellent. They cleaned up before they left.

My water heater blew the day after my mom had passed and I was only home to grab nice clothes for the service. I called Marc and he came over about 2 hours later to doublecheck what water heaters could fit in the space and advice me on my options. He was willing to re-arrange his schedule to accommodate me the following morning but since I wasn't going to be home, we scheduled the replacement after I would return. The replacement went very smoothly and they did a good job cleaning up after the job was over. I would use Marc again in a second.

MD was great at working with me to get the results I wanted...meaning...."do you want me to fix this or replace it--here is the difference". MD had parts on hand to offer choices as well. MD was willing to give opinions as to the best course of action in their opinion. Also, MD showed great initiative on a job getting a 70 year old fixture to work; they did what was needed to get the job finished. I would definately rec. to others.

The guys were awesome. Our basement flooded after an extraordinary amount of rain fell in our area. They pumped the basement and then solved the problem by grinding out roots that were clogging the system. They were very professional and did a terrific job.

Came promptly within 30 minutes of phone conversation. Stayed about an hour trying to restart pilot that would not fire up. Finally got it restarted. Explained what he was doing and trying to do during the whole process. Was very courteous and patient. Would cerainly call him again with no hesitation next time I need help.

Sunday of Memorial Day weekend I realized that every time I flushed the toilet, water was backing up the floor drain in my basement. I called 3 or 4 plumbers from Angie's List, but Marc was the only one who actually answered his phone. He told me it was his daughter's 3rd birthday, but that he would see what he could do. He called back within 1/2 hour and said he'd be at my house in 45 minutes, which he was. He and a helper took care of the problem quickly, efficiently and professionally. They cleaned up after themselves and were extremely courteous to each other and to me. He charged me a very reasonable price. This guy is officially my new plumber! Very happy.

Went well. got to my house in time and worked quickly. They kept the area clean and cleaned up after the job was over.

I was really grateful Mr. Duval arrived at all, knowing what a full schedule he had for the day. He had to get rid of about 4 - 5 inches which was all over the basement. He managed this by sending most of it out through a long hose to another area outdoors. He left me the pump, in case I should need it during the night or the next day. He also removed the plates on the water heater so that it could dry out. Then he returned the next day to check on things, re-light the water heater, and take the hose and pump. He gave me some good advice about what to do in the future. I feel very fortunate to have received such caring treatment during a crisis. He did more than he had to.

They came out earlier than promised which I I thought was excellent Service. They were very professional, neat and clean they did good work. The only thing they didn't remind me about was the 10% senior discount. However the service was excellent and price was reasonable.

Fantastic. I called several plumbers listed on Angie's List and no one could get me in that morning. When I called MD Plumbing, he was also booked but still managed to work me in on his way to another appointment. He arrived in 30 minutes. Very professional. In addition to rodding the toilet he gave advice on easy ways to get rid of the sewer smell in my basement.

Another plumber had rodded my sewer pipe. They told me I needed to replace the flap valve on the sewer pipe because it was corroded and didn't open and close as it should. They quoted me $3500 for the job, saying that type of valve isn't available any more and the type used now will require breaking through the concrete on the basement floor. Also after they left the utility sink, which previously drained fine, no longer drained and overflowed onto the floor when the washing machine was run, MD Plumbing was contacted to estimate the cost to replace the flap valve, replace the pipes on the utility sink drain. I stripped the threads when I removed them to see if there was something in the trap causing the overflow. The drain with the stripped threads was a molded part of a concrete sink and to replace the drain would require replacing the entire tub. The plumber however was able to rethread the piece so things didn't have to be replaced. In a matter of minutes they blew the clog from the sewer pipe clear. They concurred with a previous plumber's statement that replacing the flap valve would require breaking through the concrete floor, They asked questions about previous water problems in the basement. The only function of the part was to shut if the outside sewer backed up. Since this had never been a problem in at least 45 yrs that I knew of, they recommended not bothering to replace the part. All this for $130!!! They are coming back next week to take care of some minor plumbing problems that I've avoided having repaired for years because I dreaded dealing with plumbers.

It went well. They came back a second time to install the cartridge, since it had to be ordered.

We were having an issue where every time it rained hard, we would end up with a great deal of water in our crawl space from an internal drainage system (we have a flat roof) that fed rain water from the roof down to our main sewer line. It happened so bad one Sunday, we had to get an emergency plumber to come out and help us to get some of the water flowing. (Not the company being reviewed here). We paid emergency prices and had some suspect recommendations for a longer term fix. That's when we called MD Plumbing and Sewer, based on their good reviews and for their proximity to our house in Skokie. Turns out we had a large crack along the length of the main sewer pipe (top side) in combination with blockages further downstream on the way to the city sewer system. Mark looked around and found an existing clean out access point buried in our lawn (which the other company did not spot). Saving us a ton of money as the other company had recommended we put one in place!. So Mark from MD plumbing gave us a good estimate (lower than the other guys) and did a great job of replacing the pipe with good modern durable PVC pipe in our crawl space and did a good job of cleaning out the tree root based blockages from both the crawlspace out to the lawn, and then from the clean-out in the lawn down to the city sewer . Took a couple of separate sessions, but it has cleared up the problem ever since. MD Plumbing was great to work with, they were up-front, open, honest, prompt, and fair in all their dealings with me. I would highly recommend their service and will be using them again for my annual sewer clean out (we have large mature trees in our front and back lawns.) and if any other repairs need to be done along the way.

It turned out very well. We found out that the old sump pump hadn't worked for maybe 4 years. He cleaned up all the water for us and was able to get the new sump pump working just fine.

Quick, courteous, showed me how to fix a couple of easy things on my own and solved my other issues with no fuss.

Marc and his guys are honest, know their stuff. I've hired them before, and will hire again. He won't oversell or lie to you. Great plumbers.

Very well. In addition, a home inspector shortly afterwards claimed that the toilet was leaking and needed resealing. At no cost they came and inspected the toilet. There was no evidence of a leak, a slightly creative inspection.

We've lived in our house for 15 years and never had any real problems with drainage until recently. Sinks and toilets from the second floor were burping and gurgling. If someone took a bath upstairs, the draining tub caused the toilet on the first floor to overflow. My neighbor told me about MD and we called them on Monday and they arranged to come on Wednesday. They called and asked if they could come early! When they arrived they measured how far it was that they would need to rod. They decide to go in through the guest bathroom toilet. They removed the toilet and began rodding. They were thorough and professional. They showed me that there were some small roots that they cut through. They replaced the toilet and cleaned up thoroughly. I payed what I thought was a fair price for their time and work. My sewerage system is working beautifully now.

We were smelling sewer gas in our home. Marc and an associate came out and performed a thorough inspection and provided an estimate. Marc took the time to answer all of my questions. While their estimate was not the lowest in price (out of the 3 we received), Marc's explanation of the cause of the smell, as well as his plan for how to fix it seemed the most reasonable. On the day of the work, Marc and his crew arrived on time, quickly opened the wall and assessed the problem. Marc again took the time to explain to me what they were going to do and that the crew might have to destroy the hardwood of the closet floor to access a pipe. In the end, it took less time to fix then they anticipated, and the cost came in way under the original estimate. Also, they were able to do the work without destroying the closet floor -- much appreciated! The crew also rodded our sewer. I was really impressed by their quick work and professionalism. They also cleaned up everything upon leaving. I highly recommend MD Plumbing and will definitely use them again in the future.

MD Plumbing & Sewer MD Plumbing & Sewer, was very good. He came out on a Saturday or Sunday or it was a Holiday, I can't remember but, it was when he was suppose to be with his family, and a lot of people would not have came out. He fixed the hot water heater, was prompt, fast, very professional and did a good job. We will definitely use him again!

It was early a.m. and the kitchen sink stopped draining. First, I called the plumber with whom we usually work - they had no openings for the day. So, I went online to Angies List (where I SHOULD have started!) and searched for someone in a 5-mile radius of our home who had gotten good reviews. I am so happy I found MD Plumbing & Sewer. Marc, the owner of the company, was most polite and managed to squeeze us into his busy day. He arrived early afternoon, fixed the problem professionally and quickly, and charged us less than we've been paying our regular plumber. We will return to use MD Plumbing in the future and highly recommend this company to anyone looking for drain cleaning services. I am sure that their general plumbing services are just as good. I'll be sure to write a review of our experiences in that regard since we have officially switched plumbers to MD Plumbing as of today!

They were prompt, told me what they would do, had the right tools ready...and finished the job quickly.

Neglected to inform us there would be a $110 service call. $110 to sniff around for a bit and have zero idea what the problem was afterwards. Didn't have a sewer camera and claimed they didn't smell much. Told us they would need to start cutting open walls next to find the issue. Wife found Mike to be incredibly rude and he screamed at her when she said she didn't think we should have to pay since they didn't mention $110 service fee until after they were done. We ended up calling Power Plumbing who we have used before on some other work. They are expensive (investigation cost us about $1200) but they smelled it right away, investigated numerous areas, did a peppermint test, camera'ed the line, and determined that the problem is a cracked sewer line OUTSIDE which is leaking water into the ground (the smell was coming up through a crack in the floor about 5' from where they found the crack). If we had used MD he would've started cutting open walls inside the house next and we would've had a mess on our hands and likely spent a lot of money and STILL not have found the problem.

Again, great experience. Very professional. We have not had any issues since.
