Description of Work: Marc has come to our house several times, because this is an area that we are just not very smart about. Not only does he always fit us in the same day we call, but he gives us tips and explicit instructions (and sometimes tools) so that we won't clog up our drain again. He's pleasant and funny. I never hesitate to call him.

He was very helpful in explaining his thought process regarding the mystery leak, and extremely thorough. He didn't even charge us for the full amount of time he was here because of the fact that he could not say for sure what was going on behind our walls. I appreciated his helpfulness and honesty.
Description of Work: I called Marc on a Saturday because we had a building leak somewhere in our common staircase of our condo building that was leaking into my unit. Marc came in and spent over two hours investigating the origin of the leak. He went into every possible nook and cranny of our building that was possibly related to the leak. He was extremely thorough; I could tell he very much wanted to solve the problem. Through his thorough investigation, he was able to advise me that it was not a plumbing but an HVAC problem. He advised me on the possible origins of the leak and made a recommendation about who else to call. I appreciated that he did not want to make any holes in the walls of our building or my unit do to the fact that he felt an HVAC professional would be better equipped to decide where to look first.

Description of Work: Marc and his helper came to my house and fixed several faucets with slow drains & bad water pressure. Additionally, gave me an estimate on relocating an outdoor faucet to a more user-friendly location. I'm very pleased with the work Marc did, and I'm getting ready to relocate my outdoor faucet. Great Work!!

+ -1 moreEverything went well. The noise was a vibration and couldn't be fixed. The other toilet had a part replaced. He turned off a gas valve to the bbq, and he had to come out the next day to rod out the drain, but didn't charge an extra service charge to come out again.
Description of Work: I had a toilet that made a funny noise that needed a diagnosis, another toilet ran continuously. I could smell gas coming from an indoor gas grill, and the last item was a clogged outdoor sump pump drain.

We really appreciated the fact that he was so timely about coming out right away when we called to say that the toilet was worse than before (and did not charge us for the second service call). He also advised us about replacing some tub hardware and referred us to a store that sold the kind of faucet that we needed to buy. Very satisfied!
Description of Work: Our tankless toilet was flushing poorly, so Marc replaced several parts. It was actually flushing worse after he worked on it, so we called him the next day. He came out within 1 hour and replaced another part. It worked great after that!

They came on time and were efficient with their work. They came in at the estimate, which was lower than others had suggested. He did great work. I'll call them again!
Description of Work: We had a backed-up sewer line that caused our toilet to overflow. We also needed the cap to our sewer access replaced.

He also let me save money by going out and getting a part for the gas grill myself. He seemed to be cooperative in nature, not trying to rip me off.

+ -1 moreNot only did he give me a cost-savings alternative, but he called me back (based on caller ID) three minutes later and told me how to deal with the battery sensor. That is above and beyond the call of duty!
Description of Work: Have bad battery on sump pump. Called MD Plumbing and he suggested that I save a bunch of money by buying one from Target or Home Depot instead of having him come out. If it doesn't work, then he would be happy to come out.

+ 0 moreM.D. Plumbing exceeded all of my expectations. On both visits to my house, Marc called when he was on his way with an ETA. He also quickly diagnosed a problem with our toilet leaking into the basement that two other plumbers had failed to figure out. He brought an assistant with him to do the work so I didn't have to ''help'' as so often has been the case with other plumbers. I was expecting to pay twice as much as I did for the outstanding service M.D plumbing provided.
Description of Work: Replaced a burst pipe and spigot. Cleaned bathroom drain plug, replaced wax seal and re-seated toilet.

+ -1 moreI was very pleased because Marc was able to fit me in the same day I called. He called when he realized he was running late, and arrived when he said he would. He was very efficient and polite, and was very conscious of the time so as not to overcharge. I feel the cost was reasonable considering the same day responsiveness. I also appreciated that he made sure to check and test the system so that another service call would not be necessary. I was very pleased with his service and professionalism.
Description of Work: Toilet tank was not filling and therefore the toilet would not flush. Marc recommended replacement of the fill valve and flapper. He also noticed that the supply line was leaking after testing the toilet with those parts replaced, so he replaced that as well.

+ -1 moreCalled Marc on 1/3. He was able to schedule a repair early on the morning of 1/5. This was very helpful, as the only other bathroom is on the first floor. The plumber arrived at 8:30 AM, and quickly determined the source of the leak. Marc arrived around 8:45. The repair was completed within a half hour. I mentioned low water pressure to the shower. Marc took the time to check the pipes, and the water heater in the basement, and make recommendations. I've used MD plumbing twice now. I'll call them again when the water heater needs replacing.
Description of Work: Water was leaking around the base of a toilet on the second floor. MD replaced the wax seal at the base of the toilet as well as the water shut off valve, and supply line.

Appreciate that he was honest about it and didn't take more jobs than he could handle. Got a local company who luckily had a cancellation and came the next day. + -1 moreI've had big problems with the old drum trap getting clogged and leaking. Marc was willing to come over quickly, but I was able to remove the clog. Marc came by and gave me an estimate. He was very professional and courteous. The first job was just to remove the drum trap and replace with a standard P-trap and replace the drain-overflow drain in the bathtub. When his people were here, they discovered the trap was placed lower than the drainage pipe (Which meant the water from tub would need to fight gravity to be drained out. They didn't charge and came back next week to complete the job. The job was done very well.
Description of Work: Needed an old ''Drum'' trap removed, new drain system for an old bath tub. During the job, it was found that a new drain pipe at a lower level was needed, which they completed by cutting into the sewage pipe.

THE JOB WAS COMPLETED ONE HOUR LATER AT A REASONABLE COST. IT INCLUDED RODDING OF THE LINE TO THE MAIN SEWER CONNECTION CLEARING OBSTRUCTION (INCLUDING ROOTS, GREASE, ETC.). WE HAD A PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH A PLUMBER CHARGING EXORBITANT FEES FOR A SIMPLER JOB. THE PLUMBER WAS COURTEOUS, EFFICIENT, AND HELPED US UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM.
Description of Work: KITCHEN DRAIN WAS BACKING UP THROUGH A RECESS IN THE BASEMENT FLOOR.
