There was some confusion initially as to what the problem was, whether it was localized to my kitchen sink or a result of a larger blockage. This necessitated a second trip. They were very nice about it but I wasn't 100% confident in the first team's know-how.

They were very responsive to my call and scheduled me ASAP. They were very professional and helpful and I would definitely use MD Plumbing for any plumbing need in the future. Thanks!

I called MD plumbing late in the afternoon after trying for weeks to get a preferred handyman out. I was unable to clear a bathroom vanity drain line and thought I'd have to replace very old cast iron piping. I got a call back from MD that same afternoon and they scheduled work for the following day. Before coming to the building, the owner called me to confirm what the problem was so that his guys could resolve the problem with material on their truck. The guys showed up as scheduled and began rodding the line. The spent 2 hours rodding two locations and cleared the blockage. A repiping crisis was averted! They cleaned up after themselves (wiped floors/cabinets) unlike some plumbers I've used. I have nothing bad to say about any of their work.

Found that MD Plumbing & Sewer, were prompt, polite, neat and very thorough and successful in repairing all Jobs. All work was carefully explained and good communication was part of the service. That is always part of the service we always receive from MD plumbing & Sewer Mark Duvall. We were very happy with all the work that was done.

Great. The job was completed in less time than expected. Marc was very attentive to price concerns and fixing the problem in the best manner.

The owner Mark is very easy to contact and schedules work at your convenience and right away. His brother Sean, a very nice man and supercompetent plumber first came to give an estimate and offered several choices. The work was done a few days later within some 3 hours (you save a service call if you schedule all the work to be done at the same visit). They did excellent work and left every area very clean.

They came out within an hour of my phone call. They worked quickly. They explained everything and gave good advice on prevention. They cleaned up after themselves. They did not try to upsell me. The price was very fair based on other plumbing companies I have used.

I called Mark at MD Plumbing due to my hot water heater not working. He called me back and even though he was booked up he said he would get me in. I explained the problem and he suggested what I could possibly do to fix. I called him while I was fixing and he explained in detail the steps to take. The fix worked! Mark went above and beyond what is expected and was happy to do so. I give MD plumbing 5+ stars and will use them for all my plumbing needs to come.

They did a very nice job. They were just nice. There wasn't anything that stood out. I thought they did a professional job. They got here within 15 minutes of when they said. They were excellent.

Used them 3 times. I had sewer line rodded by another A list plumber that said I need $3000 worth of work to replace a flap that isn't made anymore. Called MD Plumbing for a second opinion. They said as long as I hadn't had any problems in the past 40 yrs not to bother. If there is ever a problem then yes replace it. Had them replace faucet on basement utility sink. Wanted sink replaced too because pieces of the drain broke off. Said they would replace the sink if I wanted but explained that I didn't have to and why. Also used them to rod out a line on an estate house I managed. The line had been rodded by another plumbing company less than 2 yrs prior. Won't ever use another plumbing company. If the owner Mark doesn't come out on the job you'll at least get a follow up call from him to make sure things are ok.

Finding a good plumber is like finding a good mechanic, when you find a good one you hang onto them for dear life. We've been using MD Plumbing for close to 8 years. We've used them for small jobs (faucet handles have fallen off), medium jobs (low water pressure, new water heater) and big jobs (tear out our old galvanized and put in new copper). In every situation Marc and his team have been total pros, so much so that I think about them as part of our family. Marc is always accessible, his prices are competitive and his work is superb. His crews of Paul/Sean and Rick/Greg are solid just like Marc. I sincerely appreciate that they're all local lads - they know Skokie and Evanston. They know the neighborhoods, they know the houses, they know the challenges. If you're looking for a solid group of plumbers for any size job then MD Plumbing are the people for you. I have no problem recommending MD Plumbing and have regularly spread the word to my neighbors and co-workers who have also had the same kind of positive experiences that we've had.

Got drips, clogs and cracked seats...MD can fix what ails you (or should i say your plumbing.) The best plumbers I've ever used - they understand the nuances of geriatric plumbing. Friendly, competent, and fairly priced. I called them when I had a leak that damaged the ceiling below the bathtub. They quickly identified that it was a problem with the tub's faucet that was leaking because a washer needed to be replaced. They didn't have the washer because it's a Toto brand faucet which isn't very common but they stopped the leak temporarily and came back the next day with the parts to repair the faucet. Second time we called we had a problem with a toilet that kept clogging. We'd clear it and then it would come back the next day. They took their time and made sure to check that the line was clear far into the system so that it wouldn't happen again. It used to clog daily and it's been a few weeks without problems so sure they got the clog out. They also were nice and put a new toilet seat that I had already purchased to replace a cracked one in another bathroom. I had trouble getting the bolts loose so asked if there was a trick to it and they took care of in a few minutes. Third time - they installed a new bathroom vanity that required some customization and cuts on the back of the cabinet to get to fit properly. They carefully removed the existing faucet because we wanted to reuse it and they did a great job of taking it off and reinstalling it in the new vanity which required some finesse because the pull for the drain stopper was fitting in a smaller new hole in the vanity top so it was tight. I like that they are a small group of guys and Mark the owner clearly cares about providing good service. Deleted other plumbers from my contact list - they will be my first call next time my plumbing rebels or I want to install something.

The guys came out and it turned out it was only lint trapped in our sink. They used a "power plunger" and it was completed quickly and they checked their work. We trust them and they could have easily said it was something bigger, but Marc and his guys are always honest with us and that's why we continue using them...they have done major pipe replacement for us, and "smaller" jobs like this one. They are reliable and that is why we continue to use them. Highly recommended!!

Contacted numerous plumbers before MD Plumbing agreed to a rush visit to unclog toilet. Our toilet had been clogged since the night before and neither a plunger or wire hanger would clear the clog. MD agreed to come out within the hour since it was a simple task (other local plumbers told me a week!). Showed up as promised and quickly and cleanly cleared out my toilet. Needless to say we were pleased with the result and didn't mind paying the premium to have it cleared right away. They are my new go to plumber for my home repair needs.

Showed up on time and answered all my stupid questions! Marc and his crew are nice and do a great job.

MD was the second company I called. The first company quoted me almost double this price to perform the same service. MD responded the same day I contacted them. They were prompt, friendly and professional. Their price was reasonable as well. I highly recommend MD Plumbing.

I have used M D Plumbing i n the past and trust them. They have come before for service calls when I thought we needed service and only charged when they found something to correct. In this case we had evidence of water in the basement (with a wet porous ceiling tiles). The examined thoroughly, located the source and fixed it.

Excellent service. Prompt, professional, and very nice. Marc and another gentleman did the service. I will use them again and I would recommend them to my friends.

They were terrific. The were able to come earlier than our appointment and called to ask if we preferred the earlier time. The person who came was really helpful. I can't remember the detais any more; think it was last year. We liked them so much we have referred them to others and our friends also had a very good experience with them.

They were great. I like the way they work. They come in and do the job you ask to have done and do not try to push other services. They are honest and reliable people. I would use them again.

He is reasonable and very clean. He is very propmt. If he can't come the first day I call him, it is the next day.

Honsetly, I did not even know they were coming. I called just for information..and they sent a crew. MD Plumbing were lucky that I was home.The best part was that they found out what was wrong with the pump.

I called MD plumbing and Sewer in the morning and they came to my house that afternoon. They spent some time evaluating the situation and then went to work. They could not get the cover for the clean-out so they had to chisel it off. The line between the house and the street was full of water and they were very careful about not getting it all over our basement. Once the water was out of the line they put the router through and work on clearing what they thought was roots. The blockage was 65 feet into the line so all of the blockage must have gone into the city sewer. They cleaned up very well and replaced the clean-out cover they had removed. We were very happy with their service. I thought the price was higher than other reviews I had read on Angie's list but because of the water in the line they were at my house for a long time.

Friendly team of two showed up at exactly the approximate time given. I needed a maintenance sewer rodding and also a water pipe that was showing some rust. They discussed my options and what to expect with the water pipe. They answered all of my questions, were polite and professional at all times, and cleaned up after themselves.
