They came with 2 service people to take care of the jobs. Were here approximately 1 hour. The faucet flows better than ever before. The sewer odor was located, and they advised me of possible short term (read cheap) temporary fixes, and explained that the solution to the odor was to dig down and locate the joint where the metal pipe and the PVC join, inspect it and probably reseal the joint. It would be for another day. They had to return a second time for the toilet; it started to backup again. I was only charged for the time, not the service fee. So far so good on the toilet.

Went fine. They dealt with the parking issue well, showed up when they said they would. After the first trip, I just left them a key, and let them go at it while I was at work.

Mr. Duvall was prompt for the appointment to give me an estimate and he also helped me understand why an additional task that I wondered about having done wouldn't work well. When his two employees arrived to do the job they were on time, courteous, and efficient. They did a good job and I would use them again.

They were good, fast, careful, efficient, and tested everything well etc. There was one issue; I was quoted $96 an hour plus a trip charge but was not told that an apprentice will be charged at an additional cost. The job took a bit over two hours but with the apprentice the cost added up.

Their motto is "We're not brain surgeons, we're drain surgeons," and Marc and his partner were great! They got rid of the clog after the second air compression and reconnected the pop-up drain, as well as, sealing it. It had started to leak that day after we (the homeowners) had used every other method to get rid of the clog on our own, from commercial drain cleaners to a plunger. Marc also took off his shoes -- his partner covered his with booties -- when they first came in, so as to not track snow into the house. Very thoughtful!

It was a tricky job. The existing pipe leaked and had to be shut-off. An addition covered the existing pipe with a labyrinth of venting and made it inaccessible. Donald figured out how to use flexible copper pipe to route existing hot water through the venting and under the vanity. It was a challenge but all the guys (there were 4 plumbers at one point!) worked hard, as well as being extremely conscientious and tidy. Hurrah!

I called MD Plumbing along with two other companies I found in Angie's list, and decided to go with MD Plumbing because of their reasonable price and their prompt returning of my phone call. I already knew what was wrong with the toilet, so I asked for a quote. Mark gave me a quote that was in the same ballpark as the quotes other companies had given me, but just from talking to him over the phone I could tell he was a knowledgeable and trustworthy guy. He and his two assistants arrived when they said they would with all the equipment they needed to do the job. They got right to work and finished the entire job in the first half hour. I.E. they drained and unmounted the entire toilet, removed the old ring and replaced it with a new one, reseated the toilet reconnected everything, checked it for leaks and cleaned up after themselves. The final price: half of the original quote, because they worked so fast. A great overall experience. I would and have hired them again!

They were prompt and courteous. They did a good clean job and their price was fair.

I called and explained what I needed done. Marc answered all of my questions and two of his guys showed up the next morning. They worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after they were finished. It took them less than 45 minutes to clean the grease-trap. MD Plumbing was also 1/2 as expensive as the other companies I had called. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and plan on using them again if need be. Also one small but significant note: his guys offered to take their shoes off before coming into my house which I always think is a good sign that you are going to get great service, and I did.

He was cooperative and helpful. He came quickly and did the work well. He had to go to another site briefly during the job but came back at the time he said he would.

We played phone tag with Mark Duval for two days before speaking in person and setting up an appointment to get an estimate. Once done his associates arrived on time and wrote the specifications for the work requested. We were given an estimate in two days, that was in line with the final cost of the project. We took a day to consider and accept the bid. Our first start date wasn't available due his being booked in the interim. We proposed starting two days later on a Friday. Mark said it was possible, but not advisable, due to parts availability on Friday, if needed. Monday was agreed and his two associates arrived right at nine and finished in late afternoon, after having to secure parts. Before beginning the toilet replacement job, I was advised that getting a new unit with parts might be a better option. We chose to keep the old unit with new parts. I appreciated their consideration about offering me an option, that might have been more cost effective. Well done.

The work went well. We were under a time crunch that morning, and Mike worked very quickly to get the job done before we had to leave. He did good work, and cleaned up nicely. As a bonus, the toilet in that bathroom happened to jam that morning as well (one of those days...), and Mike noticed the problem and plunged that without additional charge. Overall - very nice work!

These guys are great. Marc is very busy, but very responsive. The crew he had to do the work was incredibly neat for a very messy job; they saved a carpet and cleaned up very well. He was well priced and great to work with. Highly recommended.

This was the second time this year that our basement drain had backed up. Marc was able to come out the next day to clear the line. He explained everything he did, checked the line out to the street and up to the house and was able to clear out the tree root that was blocking it. And he did it for $100 less than the company that we had hired to do the same job 6 months before. He explained that fall was the best time of the year to have the line cleaned out as a preventative measure in the future. I will be giving him a call next year to clean it out again.

Marc and his staff did a terrific job! They were very easy to work with and I am very satisfied with the results.

(JOB 1) Prompt and professional came as scheduled. Very clean and neat. Explained options very clearly. Was a pleasure to work with. (JOB 2) It went beautifully. The work was quick and clean. He found an electrical problem with the whirlpool, and gave me information on what to tell the electrician. I feel confident using him for plumbing work.

Marc and his team were prompt in viewing the problem and providing an estimate. The job required that he be somewhat flexible with scheduling, since I had to schedule a roofer for the same day. Marc was great. He showed up early and worked with the roofer to fix the problem. He found that further work was needed. The plumbing vent turned out to be cracked somewhere inside the attic. This required extra time and manpower, but Marc completed the job not far from his originally quoted price and explained his work to us, even offering to take us to the roof to show us what had been done. Marc and his team are very nice, prompt and professional. I would hire him again.

PLUMBERS ARRIVED 30 MINUTES LATE. I WAS ASTONISHED AT WHAT THEY CHARGED FOR 30-45 MINUTES OF EFFORT.

At first, Marc did not return our call right away. We decided to set up an appointment with another plumber for the following Monday (which we eventually cancelled). Marc was able to come over on Friday; he arrived on-time and was friendly and professional. He quickly pointed out the problem and explained that we should caulk around the base of the toilet-sewer hole to prevent future leaks. It became obvious the previous owner of our house did a poor job tiling the floor around the sewer hole. He recommended that we allow the floor to dry (w/ a fan) and set up an appointment to return and finish the job on the following Tuesday. Ironically, we had to postpone the appointment, but Marc was able to come back on Wednesday afternoon and finish the job. We would be happy to call Marc for any plumbing needs in the future.

Mark came with a crew of two. He was on time and all were very courteous. His office kept me informed of his schedule so I was not waiting around doing nothing. He evaluated what had to be done explained it to me and showed his crew what to do. They completed the work, verified that the drain was cleared and cleaned up. Mark showed me what needed to be done to permanently fix the problem if it should occur again.

Mark was professional from the word go. I left a message for him to call me back so I could describe the problem and get an estimate. He called back the same day and was excellent with his phone manner. I described the problem, and he knew exactly what to do. He quoted me $200 + a possible $75 if an additional line needed to be cleared. We set a date and time and he showed up with two of his crew. They had not planned on clearing all the way out to the street (probably 30 yards) so it ended up costing $420, which was incredibly inexpensive for this type of job. They were fantastic and even said they would come back the week after for no charge if there were any additional problems.

They came out promptly to look at the problem late in the day and promised to come back to do the work, but we never heard from them again. Had to find someone else. I'm sure they do good work based on prior reports, but if they were too busy to help us, they should have said so.

We thought we had a severe problem, but he solved it easily. This is the second time over the years we have called him and will certainly call him again, should the need arise. Skilled, prompt. Skilled in solving the plumbing problems, related well to people. Worked carefully & cleaned up after the repairs.

I was pleased with the result and the price seemed reasonable.
