Description of Work: Preferred replaced the roof down to the plywood on both my house and my detached garage. They also put in a solar power fan as an improvement (other than doing a ridge vent) and wrapped two windows in siding material. The owner was very responsive to my questions and, out of the three companies I got bids from, spent the most time with me explaining things and answering my questions as first-time roof replacement for me. He listened to all of my concerns and answered all of them. The only time they had to reschedule anything was due to the rainy weather that would spring up this late in the season. The crew worked efficiently and they used a dumpster on a truck so that it did not sit on my driveway, which I appreciated as our driveway is older. My only negative comment is that the crew left their support rope tangled in a Japanese maple tree that is special to us and shingles would get caught in it. They did not untangle them from the tree and a few branches were broken off as a result. I wish one of the men on the ground would have untangled them and that is why i marked them lower on professionalism. But, overall I still would give them an "A-". I would use them again.

Description of Work: We hired Preferred to install a new roof. We worked with Steve Case. He was professional, responsive and they did a fantastic job. Most impressive was we had some follow up clean up work needed, they can back no questions asked and performed the clean up and even touched up some paint. I would highly recommend Preferred Roofing.

Description of Work: Extremely satisfied with the work performed. The repairs to our chimney, roof and drywall were made in a very swift, clean and efficient manner. Steve Case was a joy to work with. He knew about the insurance aspect of our claim and was readily available to answer questions about any extra concerns we may have had. His carpenters were very thorough even in an extremely HOT attic. We would definitely use this company again not only for repairs, but for any remodeling ideas we may have in the future.

Description of Work: Steve and his crew where awesome to work with, we had the roof torn off and an exhaust fan replaced. I asked about the gutters and he said they are fine, don't waste the money. Steve performed the most thorugh inspection out of three quotes going int othe attic and showing us pictures of the roof and acctic interior. he matched the second highest bid, we signed on thursday and the roof was started on Monday and completed tuesday. (did not accept the lowest bid as the oitfit did not feel right)...On wednesday, besides a few broken branches on some bushes you couldn't tell the ywere there...planning t have steve look at some remodleing work we want to have done. All questions and concerns were addressed by steve or his crew

Description of Work: New roof, skylight replaced.

Description of Work: My roof was has been leaking on and off for about 2 years and, finally, my handyman was able to identify what the problem was. I discussed this with Steve and he came out and examined the roof in the approximate area that was identified and gave me an estimate. After further discussion, we decided it would be a good idea if he met my handyman at the house so he could show him the area to make sure we were all on the same page. He had his crew out as soon as weather would allow and fixed the roof. He followed up with me, was personable and did a good job. I would not hesitate to recommend him and will certainly use his services again, if need be.

Description of Work: I called Preferred Roofing to give an estimate on 2 leeks in my roof. I have to wait almost a week for the person to come over and look at my roof. The person came out and looked and said that he would not be able to help me because the job was to complicated. He can't figure out why the roof is leeking. I don't understand why they are in business if they can't figure out how roofs work?
