Description of Work: Removed a truckload of junk. Did not inform us of the cost to add extra bags of trash to the load. Ran the bill up sky high and then it was too late to do anything about it. Maybe that's just how these things work, but, wow, it was an awful shock to hear the total. I was really surprised it ran so high.

Description of Work: Called them at 9am. Returned call at 10:30. Set up appt for that afternoon and they called at 12:30. arrived at 1:00 and junk was gone by 1:15! Easy fast and a good price. Highly recommend!

+ 1 moreWe got basement flooding this morning, and we had a lot of debris that we needed to get rid of. I searched Angies List and found a top rated junk removal service. I called in late morning, and I was told they come come by between 3:00-4:00 this afternoon. They called at 3:15 and said they'd arrive in about 1/2 hour. They arrived nearly to the minute. I showed them all the stuff I wanted to have removed and they gave me a very reasonable price. They were extremely professional, polite and very nice to work with. They hauled out everything I requested, accepted my coupon, and stayed within the expected cost. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again, and to recommend them to anyone who needs this service.
Description of Work: Hauled away unwanted furniture, old carpet, new ruined carpet and pad, and other water-damaged stuff.

+ -1 moreI had an 15' x 15' area in my backyard that the previous homeowner used as a dog pen. This area was covered with about 6 inches of stone as a base. I contacted Junk Genie for an estimate and spoke with Keith. He provided me an estimate on Friday. The following Tuesday his team got started and they completed the work two days later. This area of my backyard looks much better and they even swept up the driveway!

+ -1 moreAWESOME! They called me back and we agreed to the $65 bucks. Honestly, I don't know what I would have done if they couldn't do this. There is no way I could drag those large pieces away from the curb, and the city would have ticketed me for sure. When I got home it was a big relief to see that they not only took all the large pieces, but there wasn't a speck of the smaller pieces anywhere on my lawn. For the 10 minutes at most that I spent on the phone to do this today, I couldn't be happier with their professionalism and their getting the job done so quickly. THANK YOU!
Description of Work: I had a odd structure for storing firewood on my property. This past Friday, I noticed it was partially detached from the fence and was leaning, with the wood at the bottom looking rotted. My brother came on Sunday and was able to break it into many pieces from very small to a couple of 8 ft by 2.5 feet by 1 ft pieces. Yes - an odd structure. The thing was riddled with nails as the roof was covered in roofing shingles to mimic the house. My brother dragged the pieces to the curb. The large ones had to be over 100 lbs each. After going on line and seeing that Waste Mgmt wouldn't take anything over 45 lbs, I called them this morning and asked how I could dispose of it. They said they could not take it with all the nails in it. I then went to Angie's list and found that the Junk Genie did this kind of work, and had a favorable review from just last week taking an old hot tub out of someone's backyard. I called, and was told that they could go and review the situation, and since it was at the curb, and I was at work, if we agreed to terms, they could take my credit card over the phone and take the junk away at that time.

+ -1 moreCalled Junk Genie about removing an old hot tub from the backyard that I did not want. They promptly scheduled an appointment and showed up on time. The two men were very courteous and got to work right away. I imagine this hot tub in particular was heavy as it was filled with tons of dirt under the ceramic tub portion. After all that tumbled out when the tilted it on a side, they were able to get it out of the yard. They also cleaned up a bunch of the dirt and debris (insulation, pvc pipe bits, etc) that came out. They did spend some time trying to help me remove the wooden benches for the tub that were nailed to the fence and garage. However, there must have been 100 nails in each of the benches and the sawzall wasn't cooperating so we just gave up. Overall, it is wonderful to not have the stinky, moldy hot tub taking up space in the backyard anymore.

+ 0 moreThis went very smooth - I called Junk Genie on Sat. and on Monday, the guy came out, gave us an estimate and we just had him do the job on the spot. He shoveled up all the concrete, rock and re-bar into the truck, took it away then came back and swept up real good. He did a great job.
Description of Work: We had dug up a large amount of concrete and re-bar from around the perimeter of an ice arena, broke it up and had it piled in the driveway. The guy from Junk Genie came and shoveled it up into their truck and took it away, came back and swept up.

At first I was worried when only one man showed up to remove it, but he was able to work it around a tight turn and down the stairs without doing any damage to my walls or floors. The worker who showed up was polite and business like, and got the job done in minutes. Well worth the fee.
