I used the Angie's List link to sign up for an appointment. The message was returned in a timely manner and an appointment was scheduled for Friday, April 3rd in the morning. I waited all day no one came and no one called. I sent another message around 1pm asking if they were still coming and did not get a response. This morning I called an non-Angies list vendor. They responded quickly and handled the job within two hours professionally and at a great price.

It went great. The guys were quick and helpful.

Junk Genie was excellent. The workers that showed up all had a great attitude and worked quickly to remove the large pile of debris which had accumulated. It was a pleasure to deal with them from beginning to end. I will use them again and they are highly recommended.

Junk Genie were very responsive and accommodated my limited time schedule. They were very efficient. The job did not take very long.

Shout out to Tim and Eric, who were fantastic. They came to our house on a bitterly cold frozen day, went into the bedroom, and one by one, in some pieces, removed 6 pieces of heavy furniture from the upstairs bedroom, and took it out to their truck. They were personable and efficient. I would also like to applaud Kyle, who was very responsive in the office. Would definitely use them again!!!

I was very, very pleased with them. If they are not good, I wouldn't have them again. I was very comfortable with them. They did their job. They did what they were supposed to do and they hauled it away for me. They did a good job for me.

Had to call a couple of times to set up the appointment since their voice mail box was full. Once I connected with a live person, everything went smoothly. They worked around my schedule to set the appointment. The actual junk removal was fast and professional.

I had a fire in a garage at a rental property that I own , and I needed to get all the debris removed. I called Junk Genie and spoke to Keith , and scheduled an appointment for the next day. 2 Trucks showed up with a crew of 3 men, and the guys went right to work loading up all the debris in their dumpster that was on their truck a prompt , efficient professional manner. Their pricing is very fair as you only pay for the space you take up in their dumpster. I highly recommend them, and I will call them again if I ever need this type of service again

I called Junk Genie twice and left voice messages regarding hiring them to remove furniture from my home. No one returned my call either time. Figuring they may be closed for vacation/holiday, I waited a few more days for a return call. Nope....didn't happen. More than 2 weeks later, I still haven't heard from them! In the meantime, I called another provider who answered the phone, scheduled a pickup promptly, and performed the job professionally. Won't waste my dime or time again calling this business.

I can accept, after truck was loaded, that some of the leftover debris was swept onto my grass. I shouldn't have had to pick up anything. Price was a fair price. One worker was respectful. One was not. All in all, at this point my experience went well. Until they drove off. When leaving my home, I discovered oil from their truck had leaked onto my driveway {concrete}. This I will not tolerate, and is unacceptable . The oil leak, in the end, made my first experience with Junk Genie a BAD EXPERIENCE. Personally, I will not be using Junk Genie again.

We contacted Junk Genie at about 11 AM and they were able to haul our wet basement trash and pool table later that same afternoon!!! Two excellent workers arrived about 3 PM and were all done by 4. Both men were friendly and very professional. We are looking forward to hiring this firm again!

This was my first experience using this type of service. I received a call Sunday reminding me of my appointment the next day. The caller explained they would be late Monday because they needed to finish a job from Saturday. I had no problem with this and appreciated the fact that he let me know ahead of time instead of waiting until the day of service. The movers were polite, professional, and courteous. When they arrived, one of them reviewed the pricing policy with me and proceeded to move the items I wanted discarded. When they were done, I was presented with an invoice which was explained to me. I called Junk Genie and spoke to Keith. I told him I was pleased with the movers who came to do the job.

He was very good, careful and thorough. I was very impressed with him. We live in a condo and we have no way of getting rid of furniture and we were pretty happy with that. They were really careful about your house when they carry your stuffs out. They were really good. He was very careful of his surroundings when he was carrying furniture. There was one guy directing making sure everything's done smoothly. It's a very good service.

DON'T GET A DUMPSTER! I was going to get a dumpster and for the same money I had two people from Junk Genie come to the house and do all of the loading and clean up. Keith communicated well and fast from the beginning (I called a week ago and had the service done a few days later). The evening before he called to confirm/verify the time. They were on time. I assumed I had a full truck load but they said it was a bit less than that so charged me less than a full load. Really? This is an honest guy in a business where honesty doesn't always prevail. We couldn't have been happier with the service from the good communication to the timeliness to the sweeping up and the honest pricing. My back thanks you too!

I was hoping to call and have the stuff removed on the same day, owing to my schedule. Spoke with Keith, who was courteous and professional on the phone. I described my location, and he asked if another day would be okay. I admitted that I was hoping to have it done the same day, but if I didn't find anyone else I felt okay with for that same day, I would call him. He asked about the stuff he'd be carrying, I described it, and he said he would "make it work." He advised me of his present workload for the day, and gave me an approximate time. He arrived on time, I directed him and his assistant to the things to be removed, he gave me a price, I accepted, and they were in and out in about ten minutes.

They were a little delayed because of the snow from the previous day, but I was called and the time was rescheduled a couple of hours later. They removed everything that we wanted thrown out. They did it quickly and efficiently and managed to fit everything into the one truck with an incredible piece of organization. I particularly liked the fact that they recycle everything that they can. The price was reasonable and in 45 minutes, everything was gone and my husband and I didn't have to kill ourselves doing it. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants help with cleanup.

They were very professional and came over the day after making the call.

Called Monday 11 November 2013 and Keith offered to come out same day. Had to get approval for time off work. Advised Keith I could be there 10:00AM or a little after I called Keith at 10:10A to make sure I was still scheduled and he reminded me he booked me for after 10;00A...and his crew were headed over from Schaumburg. The two gentlemen came and were polite, professional and quick-and strong!. This is a surprise for my boyfriend who was thinking of hauling them himself this coming weekend. He will return from his business trip to find the job complete! Thanks, guys!!!

Tim and Victor did an excellent job. I would hire them again, definitely.

Continuing from above, they did not show up as promised. No phone call from them. When I called to find out what was going on, all I got were some excuses about being busy and a truck breaking down. I really don't think they wanted to do the job at any price, but Keith kept promising they would take care of us, and would call to arrange a time to do the work. Another week or more passed with no call, so I called again. Keith promised they would be here today 9-11-13 at 8:30 AM. I called yesterday and left Keith a message that we would be ready, trying to confirm the appointment that he made. Guess what? They didn't show up. When I called Keith denied making the appointment. He was very unprofessional, and finally said that he didn't think he could do business with us. I would not recommend Junk Genie to anyone.

I talked to Keith and he was quite helpful in telling me what I needed, what they could take and what they would do ? very courteous and knowledgeable. We made an appointment. When the appointment time passed, I called Keith. He seemed frustrated ? he told me that the prior day was very hot (true) and the crew had worked all day and finished late, so he told the crew to unload the next day rather than continue in the 90+ degree heat. That meant they had to unload before coming to my appointment. All very understandable and I respect the decision, but I would have liked a call in advance to let me know of the delay. In any event, the truck and 2 man crew arrived about 45 minutes later. They were quick to apologize for being late. The men were very courteous and respectful of the house and my belongings. They asked to see what needed to go and then took their shoes off to walk across carpets. They set to work immediately, knew what they were doing and started packing the truck expertly. When I started to pick up a few smaller things to help, they stopped me and told me that was their job. They were all business and extremely diligent. They asked questions frequently to make sure they were taking only what I wanted them to. They worked hard to make sure everything fit into the truck. The crew packed the entire truck much faster than I expected. Then they asked for brooms and swept up the garage, the basement and even the crawl space. Overall...fast, knowledgeable, professional, diligent, careful, and courteous. Could not ask for more. I highly recommend.

I set up an appointment with Keith, who is very pleasant and professional. We arranged a time for his crew to come by and pick up our yard debris. Since it was difficult to tell from photos how much brush there was, the pick up crew quoted us a price on the spot based on how much of the truck our waste took up. The Junk Genie crew was very thorough-raking up and sweeping up at the end, and were sure to ask if there was anything else to go. I will definitely call them again!

Eric and his assistant were my helpers this time. They were very nice! I had 12 big bags of trash. Some of them were ripped. In the past I have had them carry out and haul off some large items like furniture and things. They even cleaned up after themselves! They even swept off the front porch for me after hauling things out. They are always pleasant, always on time. They are priced fairly. Anything I've asked them to do, I've done it. Junk Genie is really great to work with!

They were great. They came out the day that I called and just did the job for me. They told me how much it would cost and then did it right through.
