Deck Company

We didn't select The Deck Company for our project, due to certain circumstances that had nothing to do with them. But I still feel compelled to give a review, based on the personal and professional service/estimate we received from Adam. It was outstanding. With only a couple days' notice he came to our home, helped us to do some planning, and wrote up an estimate on the spot. The part we liked best is that he guided us through a photo presentation of what his company does for each step of the construction process, and very clearly explained it all to us. If the rest of the team is anything like Adam, I'd confidently hire this company for my next project. Pricing seemed in-line with what we saw elsewhere. (I won't post the estimate here because every project is unique)

My experience with Deck Company was perfect from start to finish. I did my research and narrowed my choice down to Deck Company and two other highly rated contractors in my area. Price was about the same for Deck Company and one other contractor (with the third being higher and with not as good communication). Given that I thought Deck Company had the best communication from the start and slightly better overall reviews, I went with them and could not be happier. Keith was excellent in going over the details of the job and how it would go. Nate and his crew performed the work right on schedule and were punctual each day. And the end product is amazing! If you want an amazing new deck that will be done at a fair price by guys that have a passion for what they do and really know what they are doing, I fully recommend Deck Company.

Horrible. It's a terrible way to handle and run a business. If you have hours that align with THEIR busy schedules which is I'm assuming if you're a stay at home parent with a free moment or work from home and have a VERY flexible schedule, then call away. But if not, don't bother.

Amazing- as a commercial interior designer I am very particular on both quality and craftsmanship. They were incredible, at umdersranding the level of detail and taking it even further than I could have imagined.

Nate and his crew were respectful, professional, skilled and responsive. I can't say enough about their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Nate kept us updated about the progress of our deck via multiple means (visits, texts etc.). He also promptly answered our texts to answer questions throughout the process. He finished ahead of schedule. We needed some other work done on the back of our house by another contractor and Nate accommodated our request to have the demolition first and the deck built a few weeks later. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with and exceeded our expectations in every way. I highly recommend the Deck Company. They will build you a beautiful deck and make the process as seamless and easy as possible for you.

I decided on Deck Company for my project because of it’s great reviews. I was definitely not disappointed. If ratings were classified by 5 stars, I would give them 11. From beginning to end, Nate was honest, kept me informed, and executed everything just as he said he would. I originally had to delay the project due to financial issues, but Nate kept right with me and started when I was ready. Nate and his wonderful team magically worked their expertise. I am absolutely blown away with their craftsmanship. The design was to match an already existing front porch, and it turning out better than I even imagined it would be. The team worked hard and with integrity. I was concerned not to bother my neighbors as I share a driveway with them, and they took my concern to heart and were very careful to keep everything within my yard boundaries. Nate's follow up has been superb, wanting me to be 100% happy with the results. I am. I did not get additional estimates for my project before starting, and I'm glad I didn't. I would not have wanted to go with a company based on price, and then have missed the quality of the amazing deck that they built. I will upload photos, but it looks even better in person!

We were absolutely thrilled with our experience. Nate and his crew built the deck of our dreams. They were extremely efficient, kept a clean job site and the quality of their workmanship is outstanding. We have already referred them and will continue to do so.

Simply FANTASTIC! Our Deck company installed deck is a bit of a local celebrity now! Many compliments from neighbors and friends. Even the landscapers we called to put in plantings around the deck all individually made a point to tell us how nice the deck was. Keith, Nate and team were great. They were very creative in coming up with a solution that blended our needs with our bottom line. We appreciate their consultative approach, flexibility and steering throughout the entire course of the project. They took our ideas, crude drawings and Pinterest photos to create something that to us is nothing short of perfection. We have spent every rain free day after the install date outdoors. The only downside is that our cocktail budget has gone up because we keep saying "let's have another".....so we can stay out on the deck longer. Extremely pleased!

The Deck Company is awesome! From coordinating with Nate to the actual implementation by Shawn, everything went flawless. Customer service was their top priority as they not only dropped off samples prior to the project beginning but also dropped off extra materials after the project was completed. Shawn was great to have complete the project and gave extra attention to the little details such as trim-work and special cuts to fit the existing awkward configuration of the stairs. We have already received numerous compliments from our neighbors and Deck Company is to thank for their great work! We love the Trex line that Nate recommended due to its resiliency to scratching as well as the fact that we don't have to worry about getting splinters when walking barefoot. Trex requires additional underneath support and our existing stringers were 24" oc, so Shawn provided additional bridging on every tread that provides the necessary support to the Trex system so it doesn't bow down due to weight or bow up do to aging. The stairs feel uber supportive when you walk on them. Thanks again!

Despite issues with the village and the permit, not their fault, they did an outstanding job!! This is the second time this company built a deck for me at two different houses. They have grown from a small father son business overnight! I highly recommend them and will have them back again for phase two asap!!

Nate and company did a great job. The village created some permit obstacles for them, which they worked thru very quickly. This resulted in me needing my deck completed in a short timeframe for an event, and they completed it in 3 days, well ahead of schedule. Very friendly and dedicated customer service from Keith, Nate, and the team. I'd highly recommend them for any deck job you need.

What an incredible job! The framing and the finished deck are first rate: the city inspector, examining the framing said he had never seen better work. Their crew is a delightful gang of young men. It was a pleasure having them at our home. We are most pleased and we recommend the Deck Company to anyone who wants a quality deck built.

Keith (father) and Nate (son) Hudon do an absolutely fantastic job--I'm really grateful I picked this company to build our cedar deck. They are incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and the quality of their craftsmanship is unparalleled. Nate went above and beyond taking a look at an unrelated construction and electrical issue near the deck and we had those repaired as well. The crew is quick and clean and leaves no trace behind when the project is done. 10 out of 10.

Keith and Nate Hudon were both professional and a pleasure to do business with. The crew was efficient and worked well together. When we originally contacted Deck Company we were scheduled to have our project done mid-June. We were pleasantly surprised when they contacted us and completed the job almost 2 months ahead of schedule. We are pleased with the quality of their work and product that they used.

Only talked to the owner's father who happens to be the sales rep. Never spoke to him over the phone or even meet him in person, only via email. Stop by to look at the yard while I wasn't home (couldn't find a time to meet him) and sent me a photo of a pencil drawing and a price. Never heard from him again. Seems to be organization that is a guy will a bag of tools coming to install the deck. Quoted price was good, but didn't leaving me feeling confident that they would get the job done without issues.

Deck company did a wonderful job! They communicated with us throughout the process from initial estimate to on the job check ins. Nate and his crew were very conscientious and meticulous in their work. They took time to address all of our questions and concerns. The job site was cleaned and all unwanted materials were removed.

Nate and his team were absolutely amazing to work with. Upon first meeting Nate, you could tell he was a professional and you would be working with a contractor that you can trust. Nate submitted 1 of 3 bids I received for our deck project. Nate's bids was extremely competitive, there were no uncertainties about the quality of materials he would be using, his time frame was the shortest, and he has a personal relationship with all of his employes. Based on all of these factors, hiring Nate was an easy decision and personally price was the least deciding factor in the end. On to the install. When Nate and his crew say they start every day on time, it is the truth. Nate and the crew started early every day throughout the process and worked late on a few occasions due to some unforeseen snags in order to stay on their schedule. Their work was flawless and certainly beyond my expectations. All in all, I can't believe the amount of work they completed in roughly a week at the level in which it was performed. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Deck Company and I recommend them at the highest levels.

The Deck Company handled a job that most contractors did not want to take on. My deck had frost heaved in one corner, with the deck being raised about 3 inches in one corner. Nate and his crew dug a hole that was much deeper than the required 42". They knew I did not want to have this same problem again, and accommodated my every request. They poured the new footing, stabilized the deck the removed the old footing. They also built and installed a new stair case, wide than the before and not as steep, complete with new LED lights on the stairs and at the other end of my deck by the pool. They did a great job, exactly as promised. He kept his word on everything my told me they would do. They were on time every day, never leaving for another job. Once they were done, he did not want final payment until I was 100% satisfied. I highly recommend this company for any decking project.

Nate and his crew were an absolute pleasure to work with. Nate came by within 2 days of an email to give an estimate. Nate and I collaborated and came up with a great design. Nate took care of all permits, inspection set ups, started the job on time, and actually finished one day before he said he was. The entire project (which was fairly large) took 5 days. Nate is 100% honest, hard working individual, that really cares about his clients. The craftsmanship on the deck and pergola is truly unmatched, there was attention to detail in every aspect. It is hard to find honest contractors that care about you and their work rather than dollars and cents. The deck company had a fair estimate compared to the others I received. After the signed contract, Nate got a deal on some material and asked if I wanted a refund on the agreed amount or he could install some lights free of charge. How many individuals would do that? I highly recommend The Deck Company if you are looking to get a deck/pergola with out any reservation. You will not be disappointed with their craftsmanship, communication, and attention to detail.

The entire project went smoothly and expeditiously from our first contact requesting a bid to the final nail securing the deck. Keith's bid was fair and honest and the best of four bids. His son, Nate (crew chief), was very responsive to our requests, alterations, and questions. The crew arrived on time every day, worked together well, and built us a quality deck that we will enjoy for years to come. We are very pleased and will recommend the Deck Company to our family and friends.

Nate was professional, courteous and prompt from estimate to completion. We corresponded through texting and phone calls and he never failed to answer any questions that I had. He was available to do the job very quickly after estimate, which I was very happy about. He never tried to oversell me anything I did not want and completely understood what I wanted done. The crew were very hard workers who created a beautiful deck in just a couple of days. Nate also fixed an animal issue where it was burrowing under the deck to make a nest under our sunroom. Thank you, Nate! I am completely happy with my new deck and the entire experience.

Working with Keith (the salesman) and Nate (construction manager) was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Keith was punctual for appointments to help us determine what we wanted and to offer suggestions and guidance. Keith responded quickly to emails and phone calls. When the tear-down and construction began, Nate and his crew were very professional, punctual, contentious and careful, skillful and put on a deck that more than met our expectations. We would highly recommend the Deck Company. We are going to be adding a pergola to our backyard and look forward to them doing the work for us in the near future.

Nate and Keith Hudon are the owners of Deck Company. I am exceptionally pleased with their company. From start to finish, they helped me conceptualize a new Trex deck in front of my home. They recommended lights be installed in the posts. The outcome of the project is fantastic. The deck looks amazing and the lights really set off the quality of the Trex product and workmanship of the installation crew. The deck at the rear of my home was refurbished with cedar. It looks terrific, too!

Deck company was amazing to work with from start to finish period. They did exactly what we wanted in exactly the timeframe they quoted. Nate and his team were always there to answer questions and keep us informed as to what was happening at each stage of our project. We absolutely love our new deck it is amazing! We plan on hiring them again when we add a skirt to the deck and would refer everyone we know to them, great job!!

Both Keith (contractor) and Nate (foreman) were very personable and professional. We provided the basic design of what we wanted and they completed it exactly with some of their own suggestions and improvements. A slight delay in starting due to a lot of rain in June, but once construction began it was completed quickly (about 3 days). Trex is a rather pricey product, but it looks beautiful and we are very pleased with the result. We would definitely recommend using Deck Company for building a deck. the result was first class.
