Damico Paving & Sealcoating

I am very pleased with the work performed by Damico Paving. We plan to employ them again in the future.

Fantastic. Gave me a reasonable estimate. Set up an exact date and time. We had a problem with the village coming out for a final inspection before doing the job. Damico worked with me and the village to get approval 15 minutes before the blacktop plant closed down for the day. They did an outstanding job. My driveway looks great.

Very well. The driveway looks great. They arrived on time, did a great job and cleaned up. The guys accidentally damaged an outdoor faucet, but Brad authorized me to have my plumber replace it immediately. I sent them the bill and received a check to cover the repairs with two days. I would use them again without hesitation. Communication was prompt.

Fine. Better quality than the work done by people who leave ads in baggies with small rocks on the driveway. (But pricier.)

Damico Paving was prompt, professional and courteous and did a fine job on sealcoating my driveway which had not been sealed before..

Great job, all cracks were sealed first and then the coat was applied evenly. I will use them again next year.

At first it looked great but by April 2016, 4 months after our new asphalt driveway was installed by Damico Paving it developed "ruts" where our cars drive and are parked. We also have some sunken areas by the garage where water collects when it rains. We contacted them by mail and by phone. When they finally contacted us we were told they wanted to patch the new driveway. We contacted other driveway contractors that felt the problem was either that the material was improperly installed or that improper materials were used . These same driveway contractors stated a new driveway should not have to be patched. In June of this year a 10 foot box truck parked in our driveway for 45 min. and when it left there were 1 inch impressions where it had parked. We tried to contact the owner* ******* ******, but his employees would not oblige us. Desired Settlement: We would either want the driveway replaced or our money refunded as it looks like we will have to have the driveway replaced in the near future. Patching a 4 month old asphalt driveway is not acceptable.

Driveway looks great. Cracks were throughly sealed. Job was completed on time. The cost is the same that the competitors charge, but the quality is substantially better!

I asked upfront if it was something they did. Was told yes. They proceeded to come out and try to replace my whole driveway. Fail.

Damico was out this morning, did a super neat and tidy job, no splashes onto the concrete patio or garage apron. They were responsive as soon as we called. They also called to let us know when they were going to do the work so that we could have our cars out of the garage. We did not have to be present. A 10% off coupon was available for this provider.

I called and left a message to get an estimate on replacing my asphalt driveway. Brad called me back the next day. Brad was very upfront in letting me know that he doesn't come to my area and that they could but it would make his price not very competitive. He asked how big my driveway was and let me know a range of what I would pay and took the time on the phone to answer a few other questions for me. Very nice of him to call back so quickly to let me know they don't work in my area and to take the time on the phone to answer questions for me since this is the first time I am ever contracting for a driveway replacement. Damico did my driveway August 8, 2015. It looked beautiful. I left a raving positive straight A+ review complete with photos which I have since deleted. The first snow came in December and when that snow melted, so did all of the black seal coating. GONE! POOF! DISAPPEARED like it was never there and my old, ugly, grayish driveway is now back. We left several messages through the winter months and did not receive a response. We called again last month and finally got an answer and within a few days a representative of Damico came to my home to look at the driveway. He spoke to my husband and actually asked him if we sprayed our driveway with lawn fertilizer! When my husband told me this I was lived. First of all, we don't spray our lawn with fertilizer and even if we did, would we spray THE ENTIRE DRIVEWAY from the garage doors to the street? Had the rep asked me that question I would have laughed in his face. As it is right now my driveway looks worse than it ever did and it's actually embarrassing. I don't even want to walk out my front door. The rep told us they would be back first thing in May when they start sealcoating. If we aren't first on the list come May I am prepared to file in small claims court. In my original review I shared our nightmare story about the last seal coating job we had done and shared how we were very, very leery of hiring anyone to do it again. I was so happy with the way my driveway looked after Damico was done but little did I know the joy and the beauty would last a mere 4 months. I have called several times in the past few weeks to remind them that May is just around the corner and ask when they will be here but no one ever answers the phone so I'm posting this review as a reminder to Damico Paving to not forget about making my driveway right come the start of May.

They came out pretty quickly. That was back in the summer time. I don't know if they can do something about it but one spot in my driveway has got some deep cracks, maybe it is because I don't get it done every year, I should try to get it done every year because those deep cracks are still in there but it sure looks a lot better and if I had them come every year maybe it wouldn't be as bad. The price is average.

It went great. Very professional and all of the workers new exactly what had to be done. Brad has an excellent crew and should be proud of each and every one of them.

Called 3 companies to get estimates and chose Damico after reading reviews and hearing about the way they approach paving asphalt driveways. Our old driveway was a disaster and was long past the time to replace. Damico explained the work that was going to be performed and how their process was superior to so other firms that came in lower with their estimates. Our driveway needed a lot of gravel under the asphalt and there was no extra charge for the additional rock that was used. We're very happy with the look and the quality. I highly recommend Damico Paving.

The company call a few days in advance to let me know what day the workers would arrive. They arrived on time and the job was completed in a matter of minutes. The driveway now looks almost brand new again. The workers were very efficient and clean with no spills on concrete sidewalk and grass. Will use Damico again as long as they are in business. .

Got a quote about 45 days back. Called back to schedule the repair. Was told that someone would visit in 15 days and would call prior to visiting. No one come/repaired - called back after 20 days and was told the same thing. Again, no one called/visited. Going to call someone else who is more responsive

They came very late and worked past dark so I was worried about how the job went. But they did a great job nonetheless and I am very happy.

After receiving three estimates, we decided to go with Damico. Their estimate was the lowest and had no "unknown" costs associated with it. (One company said their would be an additional charge if more gravel was needed.) The only additional cost to me was the permit. Once I called and placed the order, it took about 3 weeks for the work to get done. The Damico representative Brad was the estimator, salesperson and also showed up on the day of the job to explain the process and what we needed to do afterwards. Very helpful. We watched them pull up the old driveway - very thin. The new driveway is a full 3 inches of asphalt and is slightly higher, resulting in a very smooth transition from the garage to the driveway. They arrived on time and were finished and gone in less than 3 hours. Very neat job. All I need to do is put down some topsoil and grass seed along the edges. Passed the city's inspection with no problem. The end result is beautiful. I didn't realize how bad my old driveway was until Damico installed the new one. Highly recommended.

I'm not sure how this company get good reviews on Angie's List. I called to get an estimate and specifically mentioned that I wanted to meet with the estimator because I had several questions about the replacement of my very old asphalt driveway that meets up with a sunken entrance walk and sunken garage apron. I received a call back from Brad in a reasonable time and set up the appointment for today (Monday). I stayed home because I had a landscape project going on, and this appointment would work well for my hectic schedule. In my initial conversation with Brad I told him I had many questions and wanted to meet with him. In the early afternoon to my surprise I find an estimate by my front door. Brad's phone number is on this estimate so I call him. He tells me knocked on the front door, saw the landscape trucks and workers but never walked around the back yard where the work was being done. I must have been in the back when he came, and I don't understand why he didn't call my cell phone or walk around back. After calling him he offered to come back in a couple of hours after a stop at another job. I was good with that until he never showed and never called. I can only imagine if I accept his estimate all these additional concerns I have will be up charges. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Based on positive reviews, I sent Damico a message asking for a quote to repave a driveway. They responded right away asking for the address. I gave them the address on July 20th. Did not hear anything for around 3 weeks - so I sent them another message and they then responded that they do not service the village (Streamwood) where my property is located. They should have done that on July 21st.

There was a lack of communication in the early stage of contact, but we finally were able to have our driveway replaced by Damico. The work was done in a timely fashion over 2 days and the new driveway looks great. They arrived in the time frames given on both days and were professional. Brad kept in contact with me continually over those two days to ensure I was aware of everything. We are looking forward to smooth sailing into our garage again!

The job went perfectly, they arrived on exactly the day they said they would and did exactly what we wanted in exactly the timeframe expected. Great work would hire again in a heartbeat!!
